www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-tuesday-cable-originals-network-finals-8-28-2018.htmlOkay so I came across this site. Come to find out PR is the #1 show on Nick right now and #2 in Kids shows (Dragonball is #1) Now with this new evidence... I feel we need to revisit this topic for a quick second. We all talked about how PR needs to move on from Nick. But this right here is solid evidence why Nick would be dumb to let them go. They are the #1 show and they arent even in your Primetime slot. If Im Nick Im begging PR to stay. As we saw from Dimensions in Danger, they tried to move them to Prime time and they got the lowest rankings in the series for their biggest episode. I believe that was a bad move for Nick to move them to that new slot. It may have sound like the right thing to do but now we see it wasnt. The only way I can see PR moving from Nick now is if Netflix offer them a lot of money or if they bring saturday morning cartoons back to broadcast stations. Hasbro would be crazy to try to ship PR to discovery channel. If anything they need to bring all their programs to Nick and take over their kids programming (wont happen so I will say do a partnership). From my research, Cartoon is trying to rebuild their line ups to compete. CW does have a cartoon line up for saturdays but its trash, and I dont think they will be doing anything to revamp it anytime soon (they should reboot Vortex but hey... Thats a dream!!) I know the other channels wont get on board because college football is getting them way too much money. I really hope Hasbro know what they are doing with Beast Morphers and with this new information one thing I would recommend is MORE EPISODES!!! Check out the site and let me know what yall think.

What about Amazon Prime or Hulu? Wouldn't that be good alternative chiices to find a new home for Power Rangers? Or better yet, why not bring back the Hub channel?

Really all I want from Nick is more promotion for every show. Also of course nick dropping the dam 20 a year deal. And not have long breaks. No reason nick couldn't for power Rangers do 32 to 40 in a year.
I still doubt hasbro, or Saban before would want the show to been all streaming. As live TV has more options. Then just streaming show.

Problem with that is... No commercials. How can they promote toys? I dont see Hulu giving up the money to produce a good PR series. Especially with only 20 million subscribers. Amazon prime could because they have 95 million. Also if Amazon got a deal with Hasbro for toy sales. I can see this happening. Netflix (which is currently showing PR) is okay. No promo whatsoever. PR needs promo simply because of toy sales. Nick is really the safer place for PR. If the show was just going off of ratings alone then the streaming outlets would be a great choice. PR can have low ratings but if the toy sales are high... We are gonna get PR in some aspect.

Then just streaming show. I just need a good story line for these toy ideas to stop popping out of nowhere. Example. How Tommy get that dope ass master morpher? That couldve been a story in itself to get toy sales. Now the previous show, gold ranger out of nowhere gets to wear the lion suit. Where is the story? It just comes out of nowhere. All of a sudden the prizm lets them do this stuff. Ranger do need more episodes. its 52 weeks in a year. PR should at least have 42 episodes a year. There were so many good monsters in this series that couldve got a 2 part series. Monster that couldve been sold in stores. Cant just focus on rangers and zords. Let sell villians also. Rangers gotta fight someone. Also If Im Hasbro Im buying Masked Rider rights and rebooting it. That show is still popular in Japan and could be just as big as PR right now. Saban blew that show. That show had sooooo much potential. Hasbro needs to dive on it. Have PR come on then right after Mask Rider.

For me I always see the franchise staying on regular tv. Them having a secondary home post airing on networks website and Netflix or etc.... streaming platform. As others said be easier to promote the show and for the commercial space for merchandise sales and all that.
Now sure we all hate how nick is with the show. Vs how they handle there own produced shows and the stupid scheduling format they have Really ultimately that is all we need to change. Go back to 1 year format, and being airing pattern between Feb and Nov with a shorter mid break.
Also look at most shows and let's look at kids shows. Not many have amazing high ratings these days. Your lucky to be in the 1 to 3 mill range. Plus folks don't do live viewing all the time dvr and delayed viewing is more common these days.

AlwaysARanger85 exactly. They need TV. Netflix can be the second home. Along with collection dvds with behind the scene footage (which people still buy). Im not sure if its really Nicks fault behind the # of episodes. I think its their fault for the scheduling. I could be wrong on this. I think Nick would also want more episodes of PR especially since the ratings are pretty good for their time slot and in comparison to the other shows on the channel. They can keep the 2 year format of they have more episodes, Also dont call this crap "Super" Just keep it as it is... When Might Morphing got their new zords they didnt become "Super" they kept the regular name and just went on. Yeah, if you get 3 million for a kids show... Youre show is legit!!!....lol Spongebob aint even pulling that in anymore. Nick aint what it used to be, thats part of why they are rebooting some of their old shows to try to bring adult back to lure their kids. I heard they were rebooting "Are you Afraid of the dark?" And Charissa Explains It All... We will see......

I know of the Rocco TV movie. And the movie new show plans for rugrats. As for are you afraid i believe that is just a feature film Ala goosebumps. I did not hear of Clarissa reboot.
All I have read it's nick call in how the show is aired and how they want 40 episodes broken up. Just look at there live shows for example they all are 20 a season.
Besides the cartoons and select shows like house of Anubis from a few years back. Which had more episodes. And going from nick history of 90s and 00s shows they have had a wide range for season episode count as small as 6 to 13 episodes to more then 30 episodes.
As for Power Rangers we know show is filmed and produced all 40 episodes up front. With maybe some minor editing or new adr work being done from after filming ends and before any given episode airs. As we know filming runs sept/Oct to dec for first 20 episodes.
They then break for a few weeks for holidays And then come back Jan to may to film the back 20 episodes. So ultimately still produced and filmed as if show was just aired 1 year old format.
This is something I hated since the nick move And still don't see why nick formats the show as their produced shows are. As they don't have creative hand in show. All they have is control on how show is aired.
So this is why I don't see why they decided to take one series and spilt it into 2 20 episode seasons. When if we had stuck to the Disney 32 to 38 ep count. And format flow. We could have done 1 season to 1 year. Plus if I was a programer. I would love to have a show that could be airing all year and if we was to do 32 to 38.
We got 52 weeks in a year. That still gives you plenty of time mid break and post season to play around what is off period. Vs nick breaking all there shows for 5 months or more and in endless reruns.
So if we are to stay with nick. And we are for next 3 years. I would love if hasbro has more pull. And can either move us back to 1 year format. Or at least make mid break shorter I be real happy. Here hoping.

I have no clue where this silly idea that Power Rangers needs tv because toy sales is coming from?
Power Rangers itself IS the toy commercial. Kids aren’t going to be more inclined to buy the toys because it was on tv. They’ll buy the toys because they like the show
