I seriously doubt it was from the injury she had early in the season filming. And same with haters. All actors deal with that during their careers. And like anything in life no one is ever fully loved or fully hated. If any thing I figure the 3 logical reasons and we see this all the time in shows and films for reasons for a exit. 1 actor wanted more money or creative say in project. And producers would not give it. Or 2 personal reasons ie family problems or what not. 3 drug problems, fighting with cast and crew and it forces ones in charge to drop said person.

Or she chose to leave the series.
Two possible actresses that could portray Kate are Elizabeth Gillies or Rachel Skarsten since she portrays Alice, and both Kate & Alice/Beth were supposed to be identical twins.

Or Ruby realized the show is shite and had to get away from it

Honestly I'm sad to see her go. I thought she was a good fit and did really well. I hope the next actress does as good of a job.

Knew this would happen. The show is ratings poison, it only got renewed just to throw a bone to the twits on tumblr, this'll be the bullet that finishes it off.

Oh come on the show isn't bad. And sure ratings are not super high numbers. Hell most of the shows on cw on average only hit 1 to 3 million viewers for live airings. Only times an episode may have higher figures like 4 to 9 million are during crossovers or series premiere/series finales. Plus also a lot of the cw shows do even better in delay dvr and streaming figures. So that is also a factor in why cw renews shows. As for live numbers all they shows that get renewed are in 1 to 3 million range. It's shows that always get less are ones that are canceled.
As for ruby I thought she was a decent actress. I never seen anything she did before this role. But I thought she did well in the role. And had good chemistry with the cast and with the other arrow verse actors. So again I seriously doubt she left due to any hate on her or left cause of injuries she had. This as I brought up happens in many films and shows. From either minor stuff like said person just wants to leave, personal family issues. To problem stuff like was a pain with cast and crew, drug problems, etc... I am sure in time the reasons for her leaving will come to light. These things tend to come out.
As for the show future in am sure it will be fine. And curious to see who is cast as kate. And how she will play the role and chemistry with the cast. Though I do feel bad on one front for new actress any scenes where her arms are visible if she doesn't have tats. They going to have to do fake tats to match what ruby had.

The closest actresses would be Elizabeth Gillies, and Rachel Skarsten portraying both Kate & Alice.

I thought Ruby kicked ass and was perfect for the role! She brought the character to life!

i am sure they will find someone similar look/body type as ruby. As i am sure they dont want the kate look to change that much. For me i hate when a recasting does happen and new person looks vastly different then the original. Then like i said if new actress doesnt have tats, or the makeup folks dont put tats on in scenes where new actress is showing more skin, and we see no tats just pulls you out as that is what kate had, plus the character does have tats in the comics too i believe.
As for elizabeth gillies she wouldnt be able to do the show right now. As she currently lead actress on the cw Dynasty reboot series. Which was picked up for a 4th season back in jan like most other cw shows where. So she logically cant film 2 series at the same time.

I know some of my female friends who are lesbians enjoy the show because it's rare to have a lesbian lead actress in a TV series nowadays. Especially if she's the title character.
Ruby leaving made my day worse yesterday because I was upset about a bunch of things. Namely the fact that the mother of one of my two best friends died as a result of the virus yesterday.

If you're gonna hate on a series, don't comment in the thread! Common sense!

So you may not like it for what ever reasons that may be. Doesn't mean there is folks who like the show be it actors, or the story and what not. Again I thought show first season was solid and I enjoyed it. Was it perfect no. But it wasn't trash in my opinion.

If you're gonna hate on a series, don't comment in the thread! Common sense! What Care Bear world do you live in? Do you seriously think this thread should be one big happy go-lucky echo chamber where this s*itshow can't be held to account for the things it did wrong? Free and open society man, all opinions, good and bad, ought to be welcomed and shouldn't be censored. There is no crime in being negative about something.

Again I thought show first season was solid and I enjoyed it. Was it perfect no. But it wasn't trash in my opinion. That's fine if you and others like it, but it hasn't caught on with a vast number of people and has been deserted in droves, spin the catch-up/does well for the network it's on/whatever ratings systems all you want, but the live numbers aren't good, and if things were as OK as you say, we would'nt be seeing such a troubled production unfold before our eyes would we? Clearly something's gone wrong to warrant losing the most vital component of the show. It's seemingly come to light Ruby really hated working on the show and couldn't adjust to life n Vancouver, the pressures of being a lead actress clearly took their toll on the poor girl, I think she'll be better off putting this show behind her, there's just too much baggage/responsibility, first catering to a warped woke fanbase that will take you to task for not being 'gay enough' and secondly, uttering lines that offend any male who values their testosterone, it's an uphill climb and Ruby's chosen to roll clear off the hill.
