Tommy/Green Ranger is set to return this fall in Super Ninja Steel. Cool. I have often wondered if Dragonzord will ever return? Not the so-called dragon based zords from other seasons, but the REAL Dragonzord! If he Sentai hasn't brought back Dragon Caesar yet, will they? They have brought back other zords and entire Megazords before, so why not Dragonzord?

Toei probably re-made some of the Megazord suits featured in the Gokaiger vs. Go-Busters crossover. I'm not sure about the individual Zords who have shown up in the final fight against Enter, but the Red Dragon Thunderzord (not sure how to spell its Sentai name) kick looked CGI.
If they do bring them back (Toei or Hasbro), they would need to re-make the suit in order to retain Dragonzord's original look from MMPR/Zyuranger and film original footage for it. Now I don't know about Hasbro making a Zord suit just for 1-time use, but I can definitely see Toei making it in case of a fight like the one from the Gokaiger/Go-Busters crossover movie. However, there is always the case of Toei sending to suit to Hasbro after they're done using it, which could result in some original footage for Tommy's most popular Zord.
But I do doubt that even Toei would consider bringing Dragon Cesar back unless there is some kind of a Gokaiger-level Sentai anniversary special/episode/movie/season where the Gokaigers are involved at least in some way. Plus Burai died in Zyuranger and Burai's actor also passed away. So the chances for seeing Dragonzord back in action are slim. Probably next to none unless Hasbro pays for it. It's up to those two really.

If Hasbro and/or Toei does decide to bring back the original Dragonzord (Dragon Caesar), they are gonna have to redesign the suit and re-animate it with CGI.

Well, if PR does ever get a Megazord version of the Legendary Battle, bringing some of the Megazords won't be a problem, since Toei already made some of the suits at least and used them in the 199 Hero movie and in the Gokaiger/Go-Busters crossover. If they are still in a good shape and usable, it shouldn't be a problem for Toei to just land them to Hasbro. But I think the the suit for any 6th (and above) Ranger's Zord would have to be re-made from scratch (except for maybe the few latest ones). Dragon Caesar's suit is one of them.

Burai's actor also passed away. . Shiro Izumi [Burai] is retired from acting, not dead. I’m not sure where you even got the idea that he passed away.

Um you know all those zords are different series and different names. Now sure some may share the general term dragonzord. But they are totally different. And real things too.

The Red Dragon Thunderzord was the best Dragonzord anyways

Those look real to me, I remember them from the many seasons I've grown up with. Sure that may be the first Dragonzord, but the others (even if some are just called "Dragon Zord") are also real. Its like Tiger Zords or Wolf Zords. That's the original Dragonzord but the others aren't fake.

And really if your getting all huffy on those other series zords that shared names. Blame that on writers and the other creative folks being lazy on naming things.

It's pretty funny that the one "real" dragonzord looks less like a dragon than all of the "fake" dragonzords. Also, clearly none of them are fake dragon zords. It's like saying "My favorite ranger is Ziggy, so ALL the other Green Rangers are FAKE!"

Well, before we had the term dinosaur, what were they called? Dragons. Every culture and society in the world has tales of the great dragon hunt or pictures of dragons doing work for them. Yes, dinosaurs were called dragons first. So really, the first Dragonzord more closely represents dragons than the others. The others are based off mythical dragons. The first Dragonzord is based off Godzilla/Mechagodzilla which oddly enough seems to be based off the Leviathan described in Job 41 from the Bible. ( www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job+41&version=NIV for reference) Anyway, the point of my thread is I wonder if we will ever see Dragonzord return, if we do, it will likely be with CGI and not a costume. Unless they recreate it from scratch...

But that meaning of Dragon is less commonly used/possibly not even used anymore

I read somewhere about it on the internet, it was a wrong information. It was a few years ago, so I no longer have the URL or a link to that site. But I'm glad that the actor is still alive.
