God really Sony needs to stop in my opinion. They want to keep going around and around with making side movies and missing the mark of them being set apart from mcu, and the mcu spiderman. I still think Sony making a dumb mistake with all these non spiderman films. Also hitch in this is of course it would be tied to venom and if the other in talks films universe. But we already have the character Cindy in mcu. But of course it would likely not be that actress as it won't be tied to mcu. When if they played it smart work with marvel and have the mcu brand and feige associated with it. Like with venom and the on/off black cat/silver Sable film and others. They could have easily got major set up in mcu films and have the mcu spiderman in the films. It just hurts both Sony and marvel splitting up the spiderman supporting players and villains up. But here is some articles for this upcoming project: deadline.com/2018/06/silk-marvel-comic-movie-korean-american-superhero-1202415165/www.thewrap.com/silk-spider-man-korean-american-heroine/

Wasn't there a report a few years ago that said Sony always had more control over long-form TV content and that they could produce this kind of stuff if it went over an hour?

I recall that but again when new deal was made we don't know what old details have changed. Which is why I asked. As we know from old deal marvel had merchandise rights and TV rights. But Sony retain film and distribution rights. But again what is different now. And then the other factor is this show going to be set in Sony marvel universe film series or be apart of mcu stuff. As Cindy moon was in home coming.
