Thanks z for recaps. Some interesting stuff. What is true what is just rumors who knows. One way or another what ever coming in 2023 ie 30th season and movie or just 30th season we will likely know what is what come spring/summer when trade marks come out, and pre production/casting gets under way.

Recap of latest TokuChris livestream (source: Rangerboard)
03:55 - Re: Sentai adaptations: He heard that eOne looked at how Power Rangers was produced with Sentai footage and wondered "How is this still on the air?" They came up with a new direction for producing the show.
04:49 - Chris thinks the new versions (Kid's show and adult show) will come in 2023.
42:55 - Will the new show be in the continuity of the old show? Generally, Hasbro reboots their other kids' shows after 3 years, as kids will only follow a brand for 3 years. 44:36 Regarding the new adult show being set in the current continuity, TokuChris doesn’t know for sure. He has heard some stuff but can't give specifics, because if the info is true, it will be traced back. But he has heard it will cater more to fans who grew up with the show. He guesses the continuity will line up with mighty morphin.
45:51 - He assumes the new stuff will be announced on Aug28.
Lightning Collection: 48:03 - Toy companies have algorithms to determine what will sell. 48:04 - Chris thinks they are using the ratings of the later Disney seasons to decide which Lightning Collection toys to release. 48:57 - Jason Bischoff was a huge SPD fan and so made a push for that.
Animated season: 49:18 - TokuChris doesn’t know what’s happening with the Animated season. Boulder Media was involved at the start and then the project merged with eOne.
Toei coping without PR 51:30 - Chris has been told that as long as Kamen Rider continues to be profitable, Super Sentai will always be around. So the show won’t die without PR. Toei have found ways to make Sentai cheaper.
PR in general 55:43 - A lot of creatives have mentioned that there are some questions about how this brand is being managed. Too many hands in the cookie jar. People not knowing where to go.
56:51 - Eke Dekel was the president of Saban brands until he and Haim got into a fight. Dekle was the reason the brand took off so quickly with so much power after the buyback. PowerForce was his idea. A marketing person took over it and that person did not get on well with Chris. Over time, PowerForce started giving all the exclusives to one specific member first, which meant that member got all the traffic from posting first. A lot of Saban Brands people were mad when Chris announced the Hasbro buyout before the official announcement.
1:03:17 Jason and Melissa deeply cared about the brand and had a direction/vision for it. Their departure scared Chris just like when Greg and Brehan (SP?) departed from Bandai, as when they left Bandai, the new people didn’t care as much.
1:06:05 - When Hasbro first set up the team for the PR brand they picked people from their other brands. Chris felt that team wasn’t that good as at the first booth (for BM), they were more interested in gossiping with each other than pushing the brand. The brand was just a job for them. However, Chris feels the new current team care about the brand, but we won’t see their fruits until next year. Paul is the last holdover from Saban Brands that is active in the brand (There are other SB people but they aren’t as active).

Hopefully everything will turn out good and there is something for all fans to enjoy from the kid demo to adult fans. I for one would hate to see a continue reboot every few years myself. As promised works great with the large continuity in my book. Now does this season have to bring up past stuff a lot no. Only when it needs too. So hopefully we will know what is hasbro plans for franchise after dine fury airs.

Looks like Entwhistle is still on board, or at least is addressing fan concerns about the future

So, wait... I can live with anything that was mentioned here, but what I can't believe is that JDF saved the franchise twice with SMF and Ninja Steel. We'll need more information on that by the veteran Ranger cast members who appeared in both. I remember seeing JDF's Vlog (or whatever it was) where JDF says to have the SMF Rangers skip calling out the names of most of the Ranger teams and just shout out the teams' names that were mentioned/tributed or used in that season. The SMF Rangers even have a dozen Veteran Rangers coming their way and we only get Noah calling out Tommy. Now how does that end up as actually saving the franchise when you end up ingoring Ranger teams and characters in an season of a show that was supposed to celebrate its 20th anniversary, but still has those teams and characters show up?
DiD was one big mess of the episode, but at least we got to see Veteran Rangers involved in a quick conversation, so that's a plus. Too bad we didn't get the scene with helmetless Rangers in suits.
The more I go trough the latest imformation, the more I think that Hasbro should just end the Sentai adaptations with the end of Dino Fury and just completely re-invent the franchise. The show, as is, is at the point of no return. At least that I think. End the 1993 multi.-verse on a big note and focus on something new while it's still possible.

Throwing everything for the window, just because Megaforce EP was lazy, or DiD was a mess of an episode, it's not a valid argument. This is the common mentality of actual writers or producers trying to reinvent franchises like Star Trek or Star Wars: they change characters, settings or mythology if they don't fit their stories, or particular narrative. THAT'S A NO. It shows more lazyness than Johnathan Tzachor with Megaforce. it show this creators don't want to do their homework, and involve in the mythology of the show. What different gonna be Power Rangers in the current landscape, where Marvel or DC made stories about superheroes, great stories in the case of Marvel, before? Just because they have giant robots? I don't want a souless cashgrab like Star Wars right now, or a cynical vomitive show like Star Trek Discovery, with politics more flawed than the dialogue in a episode of Picard. I don't delude myself: I know Power Rangers is for sell toys, but at least in the past they put heart in there. Finishing the multiverse, because "f"·$ it, we don't know what to do anymore" is stupid. I finished watching SSSS.Dynazenon, the sequel of SSSS.Gridman, and boh shows are great. Sure, they are anime, but, the love of the director for a cheesy tokusatsu show like Gridman (or adapted as Superhuman Samurai SyberSquad) is marvelous. They put references to different series of Ultraman, Transformers, and mecha anime, and also have great stories. I dunno why there is people who like Power Rangers and put some heart on it.

The split would just be Hasbro using their own costumes, props, and footage. Toei still co-owns the Power Rangers IP. I don’t know why people are refusing to get this.
