For those of you that had pre-ordered Jetman through Shout's website, they had sent me an email earlier in the day that due to a 'An industry-wide upheaval in the disc manufacturing process, due to the majority of production being consolidated at a single plant.' over the course of the entire summer. So, which means, it'll be shipped out and delivered on or around its street date.

DAMN YOU SHOUT AND TOEI! It's not Shout's fault that they can't get the rights to the movies at this time. The movies are a completely separate rights then from the actual shows. So long as we continue to buy the shows, we have finally see some Sentai movies if Toei ever decides to allow Shout or another company to get the rights to the movies. In all honesty, the only ones that are going to buy the Sentai DVDs are the older fans and they had either downloaded the movies from the fansites(to which those sites do keep the movies available when the seasons get license for US release).

That really isn't a good reason to not buying the Sentai DVDs, just because Shout isn't able to obtain the movie rights doesn't mean they should stop producing Sentai DVDs. The only people that would be buying them is the older fans who has been waiting for these DVDs rather then downloading them and knows that the movies are a separate rights and that Shout isn't at fault as Toei is the one that is not giving them the rights to it at this time. In all honesty, if we continue to support these Sentai releases, we may one day see the movies get a US release.
Perhaps Toei is just waiting to see if Shout is going to ask and acquire the rights to all Sentai seasons first before allowing them to get the movie rights.

Ya not getting the sets just cause of no movies doesn't help things out. As we are a niche market as is. And anything coming out on stream or home video is all about rights. Look at it for mystic knights or masked rider not getting releases. Same reasons why no movies. Same goes for Saban and now hasbro. Buying series rights and buying series movie footage is two separate things.

Perhaps Toei is just waiting to see if Shout is going to ask and acquire the rights to all Sentai seasons first before allowing them to get the movie rights. As if Toei would ever have the patience to wait for Shout! Factory to ask them for their blessings and acquire the the licensing rights to most of the sentai movies. Yeah, it's likely that they're never gonna give them the licensing rights to the movies. So yeah. Only way for that to happen would be if there is some kind of divine intervention telling the heads at Toei to just lend Shout! Factory the licensing rights. Next thing you'll know that someone else might want ask Toei to acquire the the licensing rights to the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the Kamen Rider series putside of Japan, or how about asking for the licensing rights to the rest of the Metal Hero series.

the movies aren't my biggest concern it the lack of vs specials that continues to piss me off they put on each box before there were power rangers there was super sentai yet they continue to refuse to add the adaptions of the crossovers meaning each season is incomplete to those of us renting them to compare sentai to the ranger season and as I said before when they reach goisger and gokaiger the 199 hero battle which is thye finale of one and pilot of the other not having it would just be idiotic.

Those VS specials you are complaining about with Shout not including them, those count as movies. And, if you think they don't count as movies, then just know that like movies, they have a separate licensing then from the show itself. So, if you want to complain about something, don't put the blame on Shout as it is more Toei then anything else.

Ya it's all about what shout has rights to license from toei. It's toei that likely didn't want to lease the movies and vs stuff.

Questions...what are the quality of the subtitles like for almost all the sentai shows that are released by Shout! Factory? Which sentai set had the worst qualities of the subtitles and translations of the Japanese script and which ones had the best qualities?

I honestly didn’t mind he subtitles.
I think there were a couple of moments where the lines didn’t make sense...

So long as you are not looking for TV-Nihon type subtitles as in flashy and colorful type subtitles among a few other things, they are pretty solid with a few moments here and there in a few of them where there is some errors within them but otherwise, they are done well in my opinion.

I think I figured out why I perfer not to buy any Sentai DVD boxsets where the movies are being treated as canon to the main TV storylines. You ever watched the movie, "Slience of the Lambs" where Hannibal Lecter is bashing some guy in the head with a 2x4 again, and again, and again? Well, that's pretty much Toei trying to tell us that the sentai summer movies are canon. They are literally bashing us all in the head with leadpipes telling us that these summer movies are a part of the main TV shows' continuity. And that is why I perfer to buy certain sentai shows like Hurricaneger, or GoGo-V, or Gekiranger, or Dekaranger where the films aren't canon and everything is self-contained in their own separate universes.
