That was the point of this show, to be humouristic. Like Akibaranger or Kampai Senshi After V. I haven't laughed so much in any other tokusatsu show like I did in this one and it was miles away better than the power rangers turbo garbage. If you take Carranger seriously you miss the whole fun. Obviously it's not the best thing you can watch but personally every time I remember it I smile. Maybe you just wasn't in the mood for something like that when you watched it, it happens. Nobody has to like anything just because. I just was surprised you said you didn't especially because you've seen so many sentai shows. I thought you would like too the fact that it was something else. I gave it an 8/10 in the review I did in my forum so I don't consider it god status show either.

I thought you would like too the fact that it was something else. I gave it an 8/10 in the review I did in my forum so I don't consider it god status show either. That's another thing. I knew all of that stuff going in. I know a lot of people like this show, and because of that, and the fact that I also don't like Turbo, I was looking forward to this show. I didn't go into this show expecting Shinkenger or Go-Busters level of drama. I knew it was a parody going in, so I knew not to judge the show on that level, and I still hated it . Even a parody show still has to have characters I care about, and it especially has to be funny. I don't like a single character in this show, whether they're ranger, villain, or side character, and I can count on one hand the number of jokes I thought were funny in the whole show. The type of humor I like is in shows like Dekaranger, Kyoryuger, and Go-Onger, because they're lighthearted, but not too over-the-top goofy, and they still have likable characters. This show is Ninninger on steroids, but with cars. Yeah, I've seen a lot of sentais, but I also don't like every one I've seen. I'm one of the few sentai fans in the world that doesn't like Megaranger or Hurricaneger, shows that I know are popular. I'm just calling it like I see it.

Finished Ex-Aid a few weeks ago (up to 45 anyway, still need to watch the movies!). Great show. Pacing felt a bit padded here and there, Emu was bland compared to the supporting cast, but it never stopped being enjoyable, with lots of likable characters full of development and some cool twists along the way.
Watching Drive now. Just finished Episode 15, and I've enjoyed about 5 episodes so far (6, 10-13). The episodic plots are really dull. The characters are fun, and there's some interesting stuff happening now and then, so hope it does improve as it hits the midway point (as people have suggested). (EDIT: 16-18 were great. The episodic plots are tying into the cast's stories more, giving you more reason to care about them. It's a shame there was about ~10 episodes of mediocrity to trudge through, but it's looking good!)
(Also, Carranger is the best. Literally my favourite series. But I can see why people wouldn't like it. It lives or dies by its comedy. If you don't like the comedy style, you won't like the show.)

After watching 2 terrible sentais in a row, I pray Ohranger doesn't make it a hat trick. Dammit, Ohranger. What did I just say? I finally got through the slog that was Ohranger. Ohranger is an exercise in what happens when every episode of a show is filler. This is one of the most boring and uninteresting sentais I've seen so far. Shows like Gaoranger, Zyuohger, and ToQger are shows I appreciate more than I actually like, but I wouldn't say they're bad, but shows like Megaranger, Carranger, and now Ohranger are a test of patience. Now, my next sentai is Kakuranger, and I don't know how to feel about that. I was excited for Ninninger, but that turned out to suck, and I was excited for Hurricaneger because I hated Ninninger, and that also turned out to suck. After watching 3 crap sentais in a row, and 2 crap ninja sentais, I don't want to make the same mistake and assume Kakuranger is gonna be good, but at the same time, if it is good, I don't want to regret not being excited for it. I'm just gonna go in with no expectations. If Kakuranger sucks, my soul might break. I'm at episode 41 of Fourze, and I should be finished with that either today or tomorrow, and then I'm on to OOO. As for my sentai ranking, Ohranger is definitely not worst than Carranger, because that will be a feat, but trying to decide between whether it's worse than Megaranger or not was tough, but I ultimately settled with the fact that at least Megaranger pretended to develop its characters, which is more than Ohranger bothered to do, and at least Megaranger had the Psycho Rangers, and also, more importantly, the Diet Crepe song, so my ranking goes: Current Sentai Ranking: 1) Gokaiger 2) Shinkenger 3) Gekiranger 4) Go-Busters 5) Magiranger 6) Dekaranger 7) Gingaman 8) Timeranger 9) Kyoryuger 10) Boukenger 11) Go-Onger 12) Goseiger 13) Abaranger 14) GoGo V 15) Zyuohger 16) Gaoranger 17) ToQger 18) Hurricaneger 19) Ninninger 20) Megaranger 21) Ohranger22) Carranger

Well, that's disheartening to hear. I'm literally about to watch the first episode right now, and I just listened to the theme song (which, by the way, I love, and is my favorite ninja sentai theme) and the visuals make it seem like it's gonna be a fairly serious sentai. Carranger was a parody, so it was more over-the-top than usual sentais, but I haven't heard anyone say Kakuranger was a parody, so if it's as silly as Carranger, that's surprising. There are lighthearted show I like, like Kyoryuger, Go-Onger, and Dekaranger, so if Kakuranger is gonna be silly, I can be okay with that, if it's done well. I guess we'll see.
Edit: Forget everything I just said. Sh Ranger, you called it. I just watched the first 5 episodes, and this show sucks.

I've finally finished Fourze, and man, I love it. A lot of KR fans are not gonna agree with what I have to say or how I rank this one. Fourze might be my biggest guilty pleasure toku show. It's certainly not perfect, and I do have my problems, but I love the characters and the camaraderie with the Kamen Rider Club. I also love the theme of friendship in this show. Fourze is a better space-themed sentai than Kyuranger, and that's saying something. How ironic that Kamen Rider is supposed to be the show with 1 main protagonist, yet Fourze has better characters and a better sense of teamwork than the show called "Space Team 9 Ranger". Over all of the Zordon era, Dino Thunder, and especially over Megaforce, Megaranger, and Ninja Steel, Fourze is my favorite high school-based toku show. While I can't put it over Drive, (and I know what I'm about to say is gonna be blasphemous to a lot of people), I put it over Ex-Aid and Gaim. I got into SS with Gokaiger, and this show aired along with it, and if I had gotten into KR at the same time, I could have been watching this and Gokaiger together. Between that and skipping Go-Busters and Kyoryuger as they aired, I'm gonna be kicking myself for this for all eternity. Up next is OOO, which I hear people like. I'm looking forward to it. As for my ranking:
Current KR Ranking: 1) Drive 2) Fourze 3) Ex-Aid 4) Gaim 5) Wizard 6) Ghost

"These 3 things happened previously on Gokai Gaburincho's KR watchthrough: First, I finally finished OOO. Second, I find it's the best KR show I've seen so far, and I think it's brilliant. And third, I'm gonna be ranking it high." The theme of desire was handled brilliantly and thoroughly. Eiji and Ankh are now 2 of my favorite KR characters. This is one of the best duos I've seen in a toku show. This show has the best use of its gimmick (in this case, medals) I've ever seen in a KR show. I love the combos and their themes, which are some of my favorite KR insert themes. I've yet to see a KR show that I think is outright bad, but this is the first one where I have been fully enthralled from beginning to end (minus the anniversary episodes, because those were stupid). I've been hearing people call Gaim the best KR show ever, and I'm over here like, "Did you not see OOO?" I freaking love this show. This is now the one to beat. Build is brilliant so far, so it has potential, but we'll see. I'm on episode 46 of Kakuranger, and after I trudge through that, I'm doing Dairanger, and now that I'm finished with OOO, I'm gonna do W, but for my ranking, I can't give OOO anything other than the top spot.
Current KR Ranking: 1) OOO 2) Drive 3) Fourze 4) Ex-Aid 5) Gaim 6) Wizard 7) Ghost

Power Rangers Super Mega Force has shipped out and then Dino Charge will follow suite shortly having sent the M.O. last Thursday.
On to Super Charge on DVD in the spring.
Am I right to figure on Power Rangers Ninja Steel's year sets in 2019?
If so it might delay me 2 years before I can continue after Super Charge.
Delay on Super Mega Force due to Amazon sending the game rather than the DVDs so I reordered from Critic's Choice Video.

Kakuranger, now it's time for your "seibai". This show sucks. I can't believe I've watched through 4 of the worst sentais I've seen so far, and they're all in a row. That's 200 episodes of bullcrap. I can't believe that SS crapped the bed on ninja sentais 3 times. I can't believe that out of all 6 ninja shows, Ninja Storm is the best one, and quite frankly, the only good one. Sometime down the line, we're gonna get another ninja sentai, most likely in 2025 (although I won't rule out 2024 or 2026), and I now reserve the right to not look forward to it for no other reason than it being a ninja sentai. Next up is Dairanger, then Zyuranger, then I will have seen every sentai that got adapted into PR, then it's Pre-Zyu territory, but honestly, I'm not even looking forward to these shows. It's hard for me to imagine any of these shows being good now, but we'll see. As for now, my ranking. I would rank Kakuranger the best out of all 3 ninja sentais, if it wasn't for that insufferable announcer. Now I'm ranking it the worst of the ninja sentais.
Current Sentai Ranking: 1) Gokaiger 2) Shinkenger 3) Gekiranger 4) Go-Busters 5) Magiranger 6) Dekaranger 7) Gingaman 8) Timeranger 9) Kyoryuger 10) Boukenger 11) Go-Onger 12) Goseiger 13) Abaranger 14) GoGo V 15) Zyuohger 16) Gaoranger 17) ToQger 18) Hurricaneger 19) Ninninger 20) Megaranger 21) Kakuranger 22) Ohranger 23) Carranger
