Now, normally. This is something that I usually don't talk about when it comes to anime. I mean, why should I care if there are this many number of characters representing a certain community in mass media when I care more about the actual story, and whether or not the characters are going to be likeable and memorable in the future, regardless of what their backgrounds are. No really, I care more about a character's actions and performances in the show and in the movie, than I do about their backgrounds and who they're in a relationship with. Still. I mean, no disrespect to any anime fans of the LGBT community. But, to me, it doesn't matter as long as the story is pretty good and if there are any reasons why I should care these moments in the movie or the TV show and what significance it has to the characters' actions, motivations and performance, regardless of what their sexual identities are.
But enough about what I think about this topic. What do you guys think about this list and topic?

I thought the list was well done, honestly. Some of the couples in the list I hadn't ever heard of.
Though I do have a question, xman. If, according to you, "it doesn't matter as long as the story is pretty good and if there are any reasons why I should care these moments in the movie or the TV show and what significance it has to the characters' actions, motivations and performance, regardless of what their sexual identities are." why bother to make a entire topic based around the list?

Cuz Xman feels like soapboxing. As such this thread is closed.
