I don't think that's why. It's probably cause it would give the other companies a chance to make Power Rangers toys. Since Bandai was the master license for Power Rangers.

Like others have said there was already a thread made hours ago that got moved to merchandise subforum. Also nick has no say in merchandise for the show. All they are is the us home for first viewing and controls how a season is scheduled. So they had no say in bandai.
As for Saban and bandai ending there deal. Their is likely many reasons. And really isn't first time a ip brand moved from one merchandise partner for another.
