Okay, here we go.
Full disclosure, I loved this film. Such strong character work, great references to comic lore, awesome action scenes. It was great.
The villain was a little weak, sure. But he served his purpose in uniting the various metahumans together for a single cause, so I wasn't that put off by it. And Superman's rebirth could have been handled with a little more dramatic gravitas, but still it was overall done well.
Also, the music was AMAZING. Especially when the iconic Batman theme came in, I got chills.
I'm just so disgusted how the critics tanked this film. -_- I hope this doesn't put WB off of developing this universe further or potential sequel plans.

I enjoyed the film more then b v s. I too thought we got some good development and story beats. I liked flash and cyborg in the film good humor moments. Had some flaws sure and wasn't as strong as wonder woman. But better then b v s and suicide squad.

I thought the movie was shambolicly edited, and Superman was basically a glorified cameo that everybody is overhyping just because he does a few badass things and because he's now the Supes everyone recognizes, but it all felt too rushed. The characters are generally all good though, especially my fave Aquaman. Despite it's problems, it's still better than BVS. I think Man of Steel is still the best of the three Snyder movies, if only by default. I've yet to see a DCEU movie with a decent third act (not even Wonder Woman had that)

That is the problem with dceu it seem like there is to many hands in the cookie jar calling the shouts and what not. I the editing issues and what ever changes came from the reshoots.

I actually liked this movie. I mean, yeah, it has flaws. But hey....at least it was a fun experience I ever had. The onky gripe I had is that Stephenwolf should have been practical effects and make-up instead of all CGI. But other that, I actually had fun watching this movie, and yes...it's definitely better than Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad all-together.

Indo hope once we see human gl in dceu they be Practical suits and not be stupid all cg like the gl film did years ago. I do hate when some of these films just do full on cg when it would be better and cheaper to do Practical and then touch up with cg later.

Yeah I agree it was a bit rushed. I think the studio deciding to condense it to two hours had the opposite effect of what they intended. So once again, here's looking forward to the Director's Cut.  |

I blame the film critics entirely. It was getting good fan reviews and tracking higher until the review embargo was lifted. Although I guess you could also blame people for being sheep and the letting the critics decide what they do or don't see.

I never let the critics Juda film for me. I will see it if I like previews or it peaks my interrst. Vs other films if I know from reports and then previews it's trash I don't bother with it. Got back from it. I enjoyed it. It's flawed & has pacing issues but overall It's probably the 2nd best film of this universe. You can definitely feel the course correction here & hopefully future films will start taking the lighter tone from here on. The Post credit scene got me interested & if they follow through it might one up Marvel since they blew the chance with a similar idea (ok not really)
