So, what did everybody think?
I've made no secret of the fact I have found the films in Phase 3 to be underwhelming and sometimes annoying, but I really felt this film was a return to form for Marvel. Handily the best Thor film and the best 'Threequel' we've had yet.
Cate Blanchett knocked it out of the park as Hela, as did Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster. The fight scenes were all hardcore awesome, particularly the big bridge battle. I'm glad they really emphasized the 'Thunder' part of Thor's title.
Hulk and Valkyrie were great choices for Thor's teammates, and even Loki was written in a way that wasn't irritating for once.
And I don't feel this film was nearly as comedic as all the reviews played it up as. There were jokes, sure, but most of the plot was focused on two different murderous, slave owning megalomaniacs trying to kill everybody. In fact compared to the Guardians films or Age of Ultron I'd say this film was significantly less funny.
I think they should have swapped the post credit scenes though. The ending one was stupid and useless, while the middle one was the real cliffhanger.
My one question though, where was Sif?

I saw it Thursday night for us opening night.ni agree was best Thor film. Really thought every did well acting wise and character developments where good. It was a fun story. Had heart and some good hunor. And the set up for upcoming stuff was good. Loved the cameos from damon, neil, and one of the Hemsworth brothers and of course Stan Lee one.
The deal with sif was since the film mostly shot in Australia. Her actress wasn't free during filming window. Due to her current NBC series that was filming at the time. Which sucks. The ms guys have said sif will return at some point I would figure maybe infinity war or avengers 4. And they can easily throw out a line she was off as hard during the Thor film events. Like how Thor opened and thir wasn't home for over two years.

Finally got to see this movie after two weeks. While I like Dark World a little more, this was definitely the strongest of the Thor films. Yes it was extremely silly and the first 20 minutes were abysmal but I like how a huge game changer this was with Asgard getting destroyed and the Brothers finally working together. We need more lady main villains in this film cuz Hela was enjoyable.
