Only if Power Rangers can treat there core audience better instead of idiots and how many times are we going to be beat the dumb "My Dad is Missing" storyline to the ground..

Or for that matter, terry916. What is it with the Neo-Saban era and its' obsession with writing in missing fathers and dead-beat dad characters in almost every season?! Samurai and Super Samurai...daddy issues that were never explored or worked out in Jayden's character. Megaforce and Super Megaforce...Troy's dad leaving for the military and his son is told to live with his uncle in Harwood County in the original draft. Dino Charge and Dino Super Charge with the whole missing dad arc until Jimmy boy (James) came back as the aqua ranger, only to leave his son again, sheesh! "Dead-beat dad, much?!" And now you have Ninja Steel with Dane Romero being missing in action, for now. But I don't know what they are gonna have plans for his character later on in Super Ninja Steel. But whoo-hoo, somehow, they are gonna make him into another stereotypical dead-beat dad character, just like James Navarro's character in Dino Super Charge.
I mean, even Time Force didn't go too far with the whole daddy issues arc for Wes' character and his relationship with his father. Cole's missing parents in Wild Force were treated as an afterthought. Cam and his father, Sensei Watanabe in Ninja Storm...not so much it's just that Sensei Watanabe was turned into bad CGI talking guinea pig. No daddy issues in Dino Thunder, but trust issues for Trent and the Dino Thunder rangers. SPD....zero daddy issues, but Sky has to deal living up to Tate Family lagecy of being the next SPD red range. Mystic Force, well Nick has own personal issues, so daddy issues are like a red-herring to him.
Mack, on the other hand...he just sufferring from identity crisis since his father told him that he's not quite human. Jungle Fury. RJ and Master Finn well, Master Finn was expecting his son to live up to his expectations, but RJ was a free-spirited person. But at the end, he learned to accept that his son could be a good mentor to the Jungle Fury rangers in his own way. Which brings up to Scott and Col. Mason Truman in RPM and well, they're both sufferring from losses because of the robot apocalypse and the fact that Marcus and the Eagle Squad were killed in battle. So, it's more of getting a father's recognition, than daddy issues to me.
So yeah, I think the Neo Saban-era is pretty much overdoing it with the whole repetitive "missing dad/dead-beat dads" subplots. Mighty Morphin to Lightspeed Rescue, not so much since well Kimberly is sufferring from dealing with her parents getting a divorce and the fact that her mom is moving to Paris, France with her new husband. Justin has to deal with his father looking for a new job after his mother died. Andros has the whole missing sister story-arc to deal with and Leo is basically suffering from losing his brother for a short time because he thought that it was his fault that Mike fell into the crevice and then there was Kendrix's death scene, but that's it. Lightspeed Rescue, well it was in reverse since Captain Mitchell was grieving over losing Ryan to Diabolico until he came back as the Titanium Ranger, years later.

Hopefully this is the last season to have "My Father has been missing" storyline since i feel like someone within Saban Brands..etc has a daddy is missing fetish since i didn't realize how many time it has been use and yet Neo Saban Era still fail to make us care about it.

It's not entirely "Daddy's missing!" sometimes it's "Daddy doesn't love me anymore" I just wish they ditched missing family/family drama and gave us something new.
I'm afraid Lucky's counterpart is gonna be looking for his missing papa soon too.

I find it funny people think quality has something to do with the ratings like Mighty Morpin Power Rangers didn’t murder Batman TAS and X-Men in the ratings or something.
Or the fact that the very dumbed down Samurai did reasonably well until the big hiatus and even then did okay.
I know fans didn’t care much for Dino Supercharge but most would agree it was at least better than Samurai despite Samurai doing better than both seasons of Dino Charge.

I too hate the kiddy tone they want to go. Why can't it be like how it was in past geared for a little older but still mass appeal for little kids.

And I thought Steven Spielberg was the only filmmaker who is known for directing characters with daddy issues in his movies.

"Aww, cheer up, son. If you have an issue, here's a tissue!" Okay, I think that's enough references from Austin Powers in Goldmember, for one day. But, yeah. The missing family/deadbeat parent drama needs to stop. It's getting to redundant, cliche, unoriginal and kind of boring, nowadays.

"Here's a tissue, but here goes daddy!"
Seriously, is family drama the only interesting thing they can come up with?

It probably wouldn't be a problem if Power Rangers wasn't so hit or miss with family dramas But thankfully Ninja Red didn't take his anger out on Poor Water Bottles that did nothing wrong

I have no idea. But I hope that if they do come up with something new and original for the next Power Rangers series, it better not be another head-bashing message about fathers not caring about their children, which isn't true. There are certain people out there who think it's easy to give up being a parent by walking away, but in reality..,they are afraid to take responsibility for themselves and for others by actually being a part of their children's lives and helping them become better people in the future.
Instead, focus on something else that would be an interesting story for Power Rangers.

Power Rangers are low for several reasons. Time slot not being one of them. Main reason is kids dont watch tv too much anymore. When PR first came out they had a high age demographic. A lot of teens were actually watching PR. When they made In Space its sole purpose was to cater to the older fans who were projected to grow out of Power Ranger but in the same breath entertain the youth. The disney move was a reason why the ratings dropped because they did little to nothing with it. (Couldnt get a disney movie... Really?) I mean just think about it. Most of us on this board are grown... lol This halloween lets count how many Power Ranger costumes we see... I really think the movie was secretly designed to send PR in a different direction if it was a huge success. Kids are going to watch what they like regardless. I know kids that watch The Walking Dead. (I work at a middle school and elementary) They dont seem to watch PR. But hopefully this PR Live will build a spark back in kids interest.
