I like how it later became Power Rangers Samurai, although Saban could give a reason on how Americans became Samurais.

Yeah, I don't think so, mbozzo. I mean, it would've been better if Amit Bauhmik was the executive producer of Samurai/Super Samurai instead of Jonathan Tzachor, but seeing as though I am currently rewatching Shinkenger, yeah...I can totally see why the adapted version has missed the whole point of what made the past seasons of Power Rangers so great in the beginning. The post-Zordon and half of the Disney-era seasons, I mean.

Well, I finally finished my rewatch on Shinkenger and...I actually liked it. I thought it was pretty well written as a sentai series and compared to Timeranger and Kamen Rider OOO, I would definitely say that it's among one the better-written Tokusatsu shows that Yosaku Kobayashi did. Go-Busters is probably second best, in my opinion. If there is anything that I didn't like about Shinkenger, then it has to be the V-Cinema Returns special because it was the first to start that awful trend/"tradition" of every other Sentai shows in the 2010 to have a V-Cinema returns special.
But other than that, I actually thought this was more fun to watch than Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai.

It's my favourite sentai and the one to give me nostalgia, so glad you liked it.

Liked: the music, suits, a lot of the motifs, Kotoha and Genta (two of my all-time favourite Sentai heroes), the DaiGoyou job hunting episode, the show having the first female Red Ranger
Disliked: Takeru and Mako - I've spoken at length about them before, suffice it to say they are character types I don't enjoy and it annoys me that people hold them up as examples of how Red and Pink Rangers should be the "serious type" and all others are useless idiots. Also, I generally dislike Kobayashi and a lot of her stock characters and plots; and I feel like Shinkenger is the best example of many of these (like how a lot of people see Kamen Rider 555 as the prime example of Toshiki Inoue's flaws as a writer)

Also, I generally dislike Kobayashi and a lot of her stock characters and plots; and I feel like Shinkenger is the best example of many of these (like how a lot of people see Kamen Rider 555 as the prime example of Toshiki Inoue's flaws as a writer) Actually, I didn't think that Mako's character was all that "super, duper serious all the time!" Quite frankly, she was like the less-serious type of pink ranger characters in Sentai, in my opinion. But if you really want to talk about a more super, duper, ultra-mega serious type of pink ranger character as an example, look at Mei/Ptera Ranger from Dinosaur Sentai Zyuranger, or Sakura/Bouken Pink from Boukenger. Takeru?! I didn't think he was that bad of a red ranger character. In fact, I considered him to be a far better leader-type than Hiromu from Go-Busters, Geki from Zyuranger, and Ryu Tendou from Jetman. Now I will admit that he actually doesn't smile a lot in the show, but I think that's mostly due to the acting and the way he was being directed into showing little emotions, on-screen. But that's it. Still, I thought he was a fun character to watch. Now of course, there is a internet blog posted on JEFusion about how Yosaku Kobayashi's writing is a lot similar to that of Toshiki Inoue's writing in Tokusatsu. But, honestly....I really don't think it's that big of deal, man. It's just the way it is for them as writers. Plus, Kobayashi-san is a very busy woman in real-life. Here is the link to the blog: What Toshiki Inoue and Yasuko Kobayashi Share In Common in Writing Tokusatsu
Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. We're not talking about the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters over here.
