Presumbly, the bit where Helga confesses to Arnold, the howl of anguish, and then throwing the locket into the sea all happen chronologically after the other. Arnold probably rejects Helga here, but there is hope later on with the trailer when we hear Arnold say "I didn't want to hurt you", maybe indicating he didn't want to tell Helga how he truly felt.
Though Gerald's really surprised Helga's helping Arnold? When she helped them in the last movie?

INCREDIBLY Hyped for this. It's gonna be awesome. That trailer made me excited without spoiling the whole thing like some trailers tend to do.

The first trailer was specially edited by Craig Bartlett himself according to a podcast interview, though good on Nick for not spoiling too much with their own tv trailer. There's still one other trailer to go.

So did any one check out the movie last night. I thought it was pretty solid. Was great to have regular voice guys back. And I thought it was nice development with the characters. Love Arnold and Helga stuff. Plus finally finding out about his parents.

This movie was exactly what I wanted it to be and even better. But wow, it got real dark at times. Several characters died on screen, and we saw someone get shot in the middle of his forehead with an arrow. Brutal.
Overall, it was a really good movie. It answered so many questions, and even gave confirmation to little things. (Like Mr. Simmons having a boyfriend/husband and an in-show confirmation of Arnold's last name) Parts may have felt a little rushed, like Helga's first confession felt like it was on fast forward. But the movie was still good.
So many strings the original series left hanging were resolved. Of course, Arnold's parents are found, Arnold and Helga are finally a thing, Phoebe and Gerald are finally a thing... But I wish we would've gotten a little more with Arnold's parents, though. We get one hug and a tiny bit at the end, but they didn't actually say much or anything. I don't know what I would've added,
but it just felt like a little something was missing. It didn't hurt the film for me any, though.
I, along with many others, I'm sure, saw it coming that Eduardo was evil. (Okay, so I thought that was actually Eduardo and he was still evil, but I was close!) But the reveal was still pretty cool.
I'm glad the characters didn't feel changed either. They all seemed like the exact same characters they were in the original. (Like Helga's parents being assholes) I was kinda worried they wouldn't feel the same, but this felt like an episode of the show, just extended... except some of the supernatural elements, but even that didn't feel forced in.
And they left the show open to continue, but didn't leave any cliffhangers for if it doesn't. If we get another season? Great! They clearly still know how to write the show and make the characters funny. I'd happily watch another season. But this movie was also a really satisfying ending to the series as a whole if the new season doesn't happen. And I'd rather them go out on a high note than have a new season that didn't feel the same. But that troll at the end was just cruel. I was about to get real mad.

From what I've seen, the movie manages that rare trick of providing resolution, but without any closure, unless you count Word of God in interviews outlining the future that the franchise could now make reality
I've only seen the bits with Arnold and Helga admitting their feelings and kissing, but boy was that a sight. I feel a big void from my childhood has been filled...I know Barlett has said time and again Arnold and Helga grow old together, but I really want to see how the early years of their romance play out and how Arnold gets Helga to open up more to him, as the ending sees Helga still acting much like herself and teasing Arnold, even if she's got this dreamy look on her face and Arnold is enjoying the attitude

Just finished it. It was pretty good & good enough resolution to the series for the most part. Did leave enough of an opening for a continuation though & I'd be for it if handled well. Still good ending regardless.

Craig confirms that he's outlined a pitch for season six and that he, the crew and the cast are up for it, but Nickelodeon haven't made a decision just yet and the fate of the show remains with them. www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/8935z1/this_is_craig_bartlett_animation_creator_of_ready/dwotogb/Other details from yesterday's AMA -Craig is undecided on how many people know Arnold and Helga are a couple (outside of Gerald and Phobe), and is thinking of having the two go about things in secret, whatever leads to the best comedic outcome will be used -Suzie and Oscar are seperated --Helga will be apprehensive of displaying public affection with Arnold, and wants the relationship to proceed on her terms -If there is a sixth season, it will focus mostly on Arnold and his parents as they readjust to life in the world and adapt to life in the boarding house. At one point Miles and Stella attempt to take it over and come up with ideas to renovate it, which puts them at odds with Phil and Gertle -Craig hopes to have a special edition blu-ray of the Jungle Movie with more of what was cut -It's possible Stinky and Lila will start dating

-Suzie and Oscar are seperated Well consider me proud of Suzie. Look I like Oscar found him a genuine funny character but let's be blunt he's a piece of shit. Guy doesn't learn squat & for the most part his selfish behavior pretty much clouds whatever good aspect of his relationship with her.
