The Autons? What Rose faced in her first appearance? Autons weren't in the episode, though they were mentioned in the episode as a possible suspect in the mystery by The Doctor. Turned out to be an entirely different alien species that was trying to save their own skin by unleashing a virus on Earth. It was stopped in time. Not a bad story this week, had more tedious greenhouse preaching from Jodie, and there was some ill-timing with the episode coming out the week the coronovirus broke out globally, but the story held together well, both sets of companions (series regulars and the ones for the episode) all got screen time and something to do, also liked The Doctor admitting to Graham she's a romantic (that's only 'cause I 'ship the two of 'em though) Unfortunatly, or rather all too expectedly, nobody really bothered to tune in...the live overnights were yet another s*itshow at 3.97, the lowest ratings yet for Jodie's era. Here's an overview of the ratings so far.

How dvr and later aired numbers for BBC for show. As like for us shows. Some may have weak live numbers. But delayed viewing and legal streaming from official sites usually have higher influx. As most networks don't just take live numbers any more as how to judge show Performance.

It's doing worse than Capaldi ever did, and even the consolidated numbers are in the s*itter as well.

ok but like i said are delay viewing and legal streaming numbers factor in. As like i said live numbers these days are not the only factor networks/producers look at nowadays.

The consolidated figures ARE the records for 'delayed viewing' and 'legal streaming'. That's what we're pointing out to you. They're not up to snuff. Jodie's run is a failure.

ok thanks i just dont know what bbc numbers are compared to bbc a and other us networks. Really what counts is are bbc happy with what they are getting live and delay. If not maybe they should try moving timeslot and day again. Maybe a different day or time could change things.

If not maybe they should try moving timeslot and day again. Maybe a different day or time could change things. When the classic series ended, it was airing on Wednesday evenings in prime time against the biggest soap opera the UK had ever seen at that point. I doubt the BBC want to pick a fight with Corrie again. I don't even think the BBC will be able to afford it by the time they sort this out either...the 'tories are breathing down their necks with this licence fee malarky. Rumours are seeping through that the show is being brought to a proper end with the 60th anniversary, then shopped to a different production company, and hardline rebooted.

I would hate to see it end and or reboot. Personally don't see the need to reboot it myself. When technically show gets a refresh when ever new producer and doctor come in.

If it gets a reboot most likely it would be a continuation like the TV movie pilot, and the 2005 revival with a new incarnation of the Doctor.

i thought the season was going to be 10/11 episodes like last few seasons been. Odd its only 8. Are you counting multi-parters as one episode? Because we still get ten, and there's a special with Daleks still to come. If you are counting that, you're not wrong, although the special would make it 9.
