"Ugh... alright, alright. I'll do that," Lenny said, feeling annoyed that Paul was going to get on his case. This wasn't what he had hoped."Cool. It's a deal." Paul gently tapped the door before turning to walk away. "Oh and starting today!" He said as he walked away, heading back towards the living room. ***** Back at Genkai's home, the old martial arts master could be found laying on the ground. Her clothes were tattered and she was bleeding profusely. This new version of Joey was a terrifying combatant. His brutal and merciless style was a product of not only the Dark Quickening, but also his training by Zephyr. Couple that with Joey's penchant for pinpoint accuracy and it made him a brutal fighter that was extremely dangerous. "Definitelyn a good way to stretch my legs." Joey cracked his knuckles while walking towards Genkai. "But I've gotten just about all I can from you. Now to finish up here and move on." Suddenly, he saw blasts coming at him out of the corner of his eye, forcing him to jump away to avoid it. "So you did show. Honestly, I was hoping your leader would be with you, but this works out even better." Joey saw the two men facing him. The first was Kyudo, the Spirit Hunter Green Ranger. He was Genkai's most recent student and former enemy turned hero. The second was Brennan, a Tauran demon with an uneasy alliance with the Spirit Hunter and Team Urameshi groups. "I didn't expect to be fighting a Ranger from America. I was always told you were one of the good ones!" Kyudo spoke. "Be careful.." Genkai spoke slowly, coughing up blood. "He's different. The darkness..." "You should listen to her." Joey removed his shadow morpher from his holster. He pressed a single button, quickly morphing into the Shadow Ranger. "You'll pay for what you did to her!" Kyudo barked. "Is that right? Let's have some fun." Joey smirked underneath his helmet.

"Oh go fuck yourself!" Lenny shouted out, now fully annoyed before slamming the door hard.

"Much better." Paul muttered to himself after hearing Lenny show some signs of life, even with his colorful response. He opted to head to the kitchen where Kestra and Wayne were, taking Lenny's suggestion to heart.
"Hey guys." Paul said, getting a good whiff of Kestra's rice. "Something smells good!"

Corrie crawled out of bed and got herself ready for the day. Not having to stress about being carted back into the slammer, made her self care routine become much more involved. After dressing for the day, she made her way down into the kitchen and started pulling things out to make a good brunch spread for everyone as they came in. "It's nice to feel normal again for once." She said to herself softly as she pulled everything out.

"Hey guys." Paul said, getting a good whiff of Kestra's rice. "Something smells good!"
Kestra looked over and smiled. "Hey, Pauly," she said. She looked over and saw Corrie and she smiled. "Hey, girl. I'm making a big ass batch of fried rice. Old boyfriend taught me this one."

"Looks like guy was good for something." Paul took another sip of water. "And yeah, it does feel good to be able to relax, even with them monitoring us. Speaking of feeling good, how are you holding up, Kes? You've been more quiet than usual."

Corrie stopped and looked at everything she had pulled out and smiled at Kestra. "Hi, sorry. I was full robot and zone out mode. I shall not step on your toes." She said putting everything back and hopping up on the counter with a pop. "Oh my god, now that I have a brain, it smells amazing Kes." She said with another smile.

Kestra smiled at Corrie and shook her head. "You're good, girl," she said. She looked at Paul, sighing softly as she shut the pan off and set it to the side. "Been doing a lot of thinking, and something I was planning got a raincloud put over it thanks to this new "deal" that's going on."

Lenny remained in his room but he was able to listen the conversation from his door and sighed, "I hope whatever Kestra is thinking, she better not do anything to get herself killed," he muttered to himself.

While the Rangers were just getting going for the day, the battle raged on with Kyudo and Brennan vs Joey. The suits of the Spirit Hunters were worn and tattered with blood seeping out of several areas. The Shadow Ranger was breathing somewhat heavily, but he was getting more and more comfortable with Zephyr's powers.
"Yup! Definitely having fun. How bout y'all?" Joey asked. When he got no answer, he shook his head. "Tough crowd! I was hoping you'd be more entertaining. Where's Kai? Maybe he'll be less stuck up!"
"The only thing getting STUCK is my blade in your chest!" The Green Ranger went on the attack, slashing at Joey at high speeds with the Shadow Ranger choosing to engage. The clash of their blades caused green and black sparks to fly respectively.
"Come on now, I know you can do better than WHOA!" Joey just missed getting his head sliced by an incoming Brennan who used his Defender Blade to take a swipe, nearly taking Joey's head. Once Defender Black missed the head shot, he fought in tandem with Kyudo, engaging in a rapid fire 2 on 1 sword battle.
Kyudo and Brennan got some room and came in from both sides, aiming to take him out with charging sword attacks.
"Fine then! Shadow Saber!" Joey shouted as all three swords hit their mark. Brennan's blade was embedded in Joey's shoulder. Kyudo's blade was lodged in Joey's hand and Joey's saber was in Kyudo's chest. Even with the dark quickening Joey's accuracy was still second to none and he hit his mark, piercing his heart.
The Green Ranger dropped his sword as he coughed up blood, collapsing to the ground. Joey delivered a thrust kick to Brennan's chest, sending him flying into a tree. Thr Shadow Ranger removed the swords from his shoulder and hand. "Not bad." Joey pulled his sword out of Kyudo's chest and stood over the Green Ranger.
"GG's Greeny." Joey took Kyudo's sword and drove it into Kyudo's chest again at an angle, not only finishing the kill, but using the Spirit Saber to pin Kyudo to the ground. After many years of bravery and dedication to protecting this planet, the sun has set on the green Spirit Hunter for the second, and final time. Once Kyudo was handled, Joey turned around setting his sights on Brennan.
"Your turn..."

"You had some big plans brewing?" Corrie asked with a smirk and a wink.
"Not like that, you motherfuckers," Kestra said, folding her arms. She sighed and looked away, hands clenching. "That day we were on the train....Wayne and I were talking. I told him the first chance I had, I was gonna make a run for it and....he asked if he could come...and I can't tell that kid no." She looked at Paul and Corrie, and her heart sank. "But now with them watching our every move....the moment I try, I know I'm dead, and I can't do taht to him."

Corrie listened to Kestra and sighed softly and gave a small shake of her head. "I can almost guarantee we have all had those thoughts." She said with a soft smile in the yellow rangers direction. "Do you still want to leave?" She asked almost shyly.

"But you had no problem doing that to us??" Paul asked, already getting some bad vibes, reminiscent of how he felt when Lenny ran on them.

After a valiant effort, Brennan was down to one knee, forced to demorph after the punishment he sustained from the Shadow Ranger. Joey walked up to Brennan, sheathing his saber. "I could always use a demon in my ranks. Good swordsmen are very hard to find."
Brennan scowled. His face was bloody and his mouth was gushing crimson. He looked up at Joey and shook his head. "I'll see you in hell."
"You'll be waiting a while." Joey stuck his hand into Brennan's mouth, causing the Tauran to gag. Joey slowly pulled upward, causing Brennan to scream out, drowning out the sound of bones and flesh separating, resulting in Joey ripping most of Brennan's head off, killing the Tauran warlord in a gruesome fashion. Joey tossed the head to the ground and demorphed, revealing a smile on his face. He picked up the Defender Blade and admired it.
"I do need a new swordsman..." Joey said, matter of factly. "Guess I'll get on that." The new Lord Drago disappeared.
After Joey left, the souls of Kyudo, Genkai, and Brennan all emerged from their bodies.
"Fuck." Genkai spat. "This isn't good."
"Oh no." Botan the grim reaper arrived to handle the new souls and her mouth gaped open, seeing her friends all dead. "What happened here?"
"There is a new Lord Drago and he is looking to become more in tune with his new power." Kyudo said.
"And he took my sword." Brennan grumbled.
"There is no time to waste!" Botan exclaimed. "We have to bring you to Koenma and warn him.
"And warn Kai." Genkai added. "When Kai finds out, he's going to want Joey's head and if he's not careful, he'll end up like us."
