Power Rangers: Nitro Blaze (Game)

"I knew that you ain't shit. Even I didn't say it out loud, but I knew.. you ain’t no hero, Brooks. You're just as a piece of shit as everyone working for this psycho asshole!" Lenny shot out , his Brooklyn accent showing before looking at Amy and but he didn't give her an "I told you so" look. Not even close. He felt bad for her, even if he hates her with a passion.

"You didn't know shit, dumbass. You're still just bitter that my team and I busted up your little drug game. It was fun seeing you get locked up though." Joey shot back, having fun taunting the Blue Ranger.

"See that's where you're wrong, bootleg Firestar." Joey quipped. "I sacrificed my life to save my team. I would have never joined DRAGO for any other reason, but they are the ones that got sloppy. My love, my brother, and whatever suit approved this thought it would be a good idea to put together a rag tag team to confront the strongest man with the most powerful organization in the universe to try and keep the government's hands clean. So if anything, be mad at them, not me and not Lord Drago." Joey pointed at Brooklyn and Amy.

Brooklyn was eerily silent and Amy was still frozen in place over this betrayal.

"Shut up, bastard," Jaguar hissed at Joey, anger showing in his voice. "Lenny may have been busted but you... I saw you as a friend. A teammate. A leader. Now, all bets are off."

"You do realize you'd be dead right now if I didn't do what I did, right? You sound very ungrateful right now." Joey shook his head, looking at Jaguar as if he were an idiot.

"Clearly, they don't get it. It may be time for a little tough love." Zephyr suggested.

"I suppose you're right." Joey pulled out his morpher. "SPD Em...wait. let's try something else." Joey tossed his morpher with it landing just in front of Amy. He pulled out a black and gold morpher, much to Amy's chagrin.

"It was you. You stole that morpher from Storm." Amy sobbed with the list of mounting betrayals.

"It had to be done. Now if y'all don't mind... SPD Emergency!" Joey underwent a new transformation. This time, instead of a proud red, the famous marksman was embracing the darkness.

"Shadow Ranger! Defender of DRAGO!"

"No...." Amy brushed Corrie away with very little conviction behind her shove. "Something here isn't right. He wouldn't betray us, betray me like this...."

"Oh enough!" Zephyr threw up his hands, tired of all of the yapping. "Joey, do your duty."

"With pleasure." Joey drew his Shadow Saber, pointing it at the remaining Rangers before looking square at Amy.

"Fuck! No time! Rangers, take him down!" Paul flipped open his key, calling for the heroes to attack, but they wouldn't be fast enough.

Joey got into an attacking stance, one very similar to Valentine's. The Shadow Ranger swung his sword and in an instant, time stood still. Instead of that dark steel cutting through spandex, it was used to pierce the neck of Zephyr himself. With Zephyr behind him at an angle, Joey performed a no look thrust, driving the Shadow Saber into the neck of Zephyr, catching him off guard. Zephyr held his neck. His eyes were widened in shock over this betrayal with his blood showering the highway.

"This..cannot be! You f..fool!" Zephyr muttered over labored breath, struggling to speak.

"For all of the countless people you've killed..." Joey paused, looking at Ken's lifeless corpse. "Your last mistake was coming after my friends."

"You dirty mother fucker!" Zephyr coughed up more blood. "You could have had it all! Have you learned nothing?!"

"I've already got it all." Joey was speaking to Zephyr, even though he was looking at his friends. "But there is one thing you taught me that I will never forget..."

"And what is that!?"

"There can only be one..." Joey used his saber to execute a 360 slash, taking Zephyr's head off. As Lord Drago's head hit the ground, Joey slowly sheathed his saber. The sound of Zephyr's head hitting the ground was like a grand symphony signaling the end of the ancient evil's tyranny.

Amy was overcome with emotion on this emotional roller coaster, managing to shoot a nasty glare over at Lenny who now had to live with knowing that he was wrong about her boyfriend and leader of SPD.

Brooklyn and Paul both breathed sighs of relief for entirely different reasons.

Corrie shook her head and stood, stepping back over to Kestra and her team. "I still don't trust it." She said looking at the shadow ranger. "Not even for a second."

"You guys may wanna take cover." Joey looked up to the sky that was still dark, knowing what was coming. Suddenly, the familiar rumblings could be heard. The essence of Zephyr triggered the largest known Quickening in history, surpassing ones of Kurgan, Jacob Kell, and Connor MacLeod.

The power of the Quickening is the equivalent to a major electrical storm hitting -- windows explode, lights short circuit, it is almost as if the victorious Immortal is in the center of a lightning storm. In this case, all of that energy was finding its way into the Shadow Ranger. Once the quickening was over, Joey dropped to one knee, demorphing and breathing heavily.

"Joey!" Brooklyn and Amy ran to Joey, helping him to his feet.

"Babe? You okay? How do you feel?" Amy asked.

Joey shrugged off his long time comrades and his aura felt different. His eyes briefly glowed red. "The best I've ever felt!"

"Huh? Joey, what's wrong?" Brooklyn asked.

"Nothing, except you're calling me by the wrong name." Joey rolled his shoulder a bit. Suddenly, an army of Raizers appeared, surrounding the two teams of Rangers. "Call me....Lord Drago." He said with a sinister smile.

Before the shock could really set in, the Rangers all vanished, leaving Joey AKA the new Lord Drago alone with his army.

"Interesting...."

The Rangers re-appeared in a location familiar to Team Nitro Blaze, but completely new to SPD.

"It seems as though the shit has escalated quite quickly." Methos sat down, looking at the Rangers as he brought them all aboard his magical train, already anticipating different reactions from SPD who wouldn't know who he is.
