"That's the part I think that's missing." Paul said to A5. "I'm sure we'd love to see him brought along slowly, but we don't have the luxury of a slow burn. And going by experience, it'll be sooner rather than later where he'll be in the hot seat and he'll have to speed up that clock." He finished, now addressing everyone.

Little did the Rangers know, that opportunity to toughen up for Wayne was going to come much sooner than even they anticipated.
In Amy's lab, she put the finishing touches on what she was working on. "Finally!" She marched down to Brooklyn's office with tablet in hand and Murph at her side. When she opened the door to his office, he lifted his head.
"Tell me you have good news."
"Yeah, I got their tracking back up and running."
"Good. Where are they?"
"New Orleans..." Amy said with a dry expression. "Of course Paul picks now to be homesick."
"Nah. That's a city that's very criminal friendly and they're more keen to watch out for their own. It would explain why we haven't heard any reports." Brooklyn said.
"Either way, we got em! And there's more." Amy tracked their location, finding that they were at the superdome. She accessed their camera feeds and found the Rangers inside with a robotic ally. "So Wayne's been busy...." Wasting no time, she came up with an idea. "Given his likely resources, this should be simple."
"I'm going to give the FBI a call. They have a station out there. They can mobilize a team and I can be out there if you have that thing ready."
"Send the feds, but that other thing isn't ready yet. We might not need it." Amy successfully hacked the Adapt0r for SPD usage. "Wayne's new toy is ours. We'll see what that thing can do and slow them down for the feds to get there."
"Okay." Brooklyn went with Amy's plan and took a seat, calling the feds in the process.
"Let's see how they like it when their dollar store robo buddy attacks them." Amy snickered, feeling this was payback for her tech being messed with first.
