With conflicted hearts, the Rangers left the ship after landing in 2017. They were in Zen City, mere blocks away from the school.
"It's starting." Mateo looked up, hearing the loud battle in the distance with the familiar flashes of light Rangers give off when they morph.

Leon made his way to the bridge of the ship when he heard the commotion outside. He tightened his morpher and waited for everyone else to make their way to the source of the trouble.

Lalah followed, gazing at the suburbs of Zen City. "And we shall proceed." She said, holding on to her morpher to ease her stress. "All we have to do is search for Dragonis and go from there."

"We won't have to look far." Mateo looked up towards the buildings across the street from the high school. The group briskly walked down the street, waiting to spot Dragonis or Calen.

Samara was silent as she followed behind everyone, seeing Ledger at her side.
"You ok?" the Blue Ranger asked.
"No. This sits wrong. It is wrong. I ain't likin' this, kid," Samara said, shaking her head. "Ain't we the good guys? Ain't we supposed to be able to prevent this kinda thing?"
"I wish...but sometimes we have to do the wrong thing to make things stay right," Ledger said. "I know it sucks, but we gotta just do what we have to, even if it hurt.s'

Lalah looked around, noticing people running away from the opposite direction of their destination. 'Oy vey.' She thought grimly. She then motioned her eyes to see the close distance between here and Zen City High. "I have yet to see either one."

"They are here. People wouldn't be running if they weren't." Leon stated as he kept looking around.

After some walking and searching, the target was spotted. The immortal demon Dragonis was seen on the roof of a building across fron the school where student were being evacuated during the massive attack.
"Up there! Let's go!" Mateo shouted and the group all made their way up to the roof, seemingly surprised to see that they actually beat Calen here.
Dragonis whipped his head around when he saw more people appear on the roof. "More children!? I'm afraid you've picked the wrong place for safety!" He snarled, mistaking the Rangers for ZCH students.

"Unfortunately not." Lalah answered, keeping things neutral as possible without the need to mention their motive.

"You don't want to do that." Mateo said to Dragonis who was looking at them like fresh meat.
"Why not?!" Dragonis was set to draw his sword when the team leader opted to come clean.
"We're here to protect you. There's someone on the way to kill you!" Mateo raised his voice. Normally, divulging info about someone's future would be frowned upon but given their ability to wipe memories, it helped cut down on the potential risk. Plus, the Red Ranger thought it'd be a good chance to see the tech in action once they were done.
"Impossible! No one has the balls to try an assassinate me!" Dragonis shot back believing that no one would dare come after him given his own power along side his affiliations.

"Is that so? Perhaps I'll just kill the five of you and take my chances with this mystery person!" Dragonis spoke with heavy sarcasm. Mateo narrowed his eyes and quickly drew his Storm Morpher, opening fire that Dragonis easily avoided. "Boy, if this is some sort of trick, your aim is horrible!"
"I didn't miss, asshole." Mateo shot back.
The Red Ranger's retort prompted Dragonis to turn around, seeing the man in purple armor behind him, using his forearms to prevent major damage from Mateo's blast.
"What!? So these children weren't blowing smoke up my ass!? Who in the hell is that stupid to challenge me!?"
"My name is Calen Diorno and to save my future, your life has to end here!"
"Annnnnnnd now's our cue. Let's Ranger up!" Mateo said to the others, readying his Storm Morpher.

Lalah got her Storm Morpher prepared as soon as she saw Calen. "The timing is impeccable. I can't say I'm not surprised."
