Time Force Delta Squad: Trapped (S2 Game)

The Rangers boarded teh Waverunner again, the ship taking off back toward Silver Guardian headquarters. Armed with new information and a long talk coming the next day, the six Rangers settled for a hopefully quiet night.

(OOC: We're all in the Waverunner for now. Just the six Rangers right now.)

The next morning, like Tanjiro asked, the six Rangers were gathered in the mess hall of the Waverunner. Wes offered to take Rolo for the day and show him some new stuff around Silver Guardians Headquarters, keeping the young boy away from the discussion that needed to be had. Tanjiro sat down and wrapped his hands around a cup of coffee, leaning back in his seat and looking at the others.

"M'yrnn. Tell us again what you saw in Crimson Bolt's mind," the Red Ranger said, looking at the Silver Ranger.

M'yrnn nodded, standing by the counter. "When I had him pinned so that Sojiro and Cody's attacks could land, I saw into Bolt's mind. K'hysh, somehow, has managed to fight her way out of whatever programming was keeping her as Queen Arianas. It's gotten her locked up in the brig. The real mastermind behind the Epislon Battalion is Warlord Stolkan," he said. "Bolt also had a glimpse of a plan in his head. Stolkan wants to open the gates on the ship's prisoners and let them flood the city."

"That many prisoners, we'd be overrun," Tanjiro said. "That's a secondary problem. The question is how do we go about getting to K'hysh to get her out of there. We can't risk all six of us going in because that'll leave the city defenseless except the Silver Guardians." He looked to Cody, Alluka, and Sojiro. "I know Kari's stance already, going in guns blazing to get her girlfriend back. But I need to know what page you three are standing on so that we can have everything out all at once. What are your thoughts and feelings about this?"

Alluka sips her tea, taking a moment to think. While she's currently reeling from yesterday, today's discussion can at least help sort her head. One topic at a time, she thinks. When Tanjiro asks about her stance, the Umekian reaffirms her decision.

"In order to stop Stolkan, we will rescue K'hysh first." Alluka begins. "So far she is fighting off Arianas's control. The bad thing is Stolkan's subordinates are stepping up to prevent us from doing so. We must pass them."

Cody takes a moment to smell the tea Alluka makes for him. Like Alluka, he's doing his best to process the events these past several days. With his nephew safe under Wes's care, his main focus shifts to his friends. Once he takes a sip, he addresses his thoughts for the matter.

"The first thing I think of is splitting up. Three can rescue K'hysh while the other half remain in the city. As Tan said, if we all go, the city will be in danger." Cody explains. "I don't have a problem going. K'hysh and I owe a chat after we bring her back here."

"So Stolkan is the real culprit of all of this? Man, if that's not a shocker, I don't know what is," Sojiro said, folding his arms

Tanjiro nodded, looking at Sojiro. "Yes, but what do you think about K'hysh?" he asked. He looked at Kari, shaking his head. "No. You need to be there. That way, if she's being tortured, she won't think we're illusions or whatever. She would need you there, Kari."

M'yrnn nodded, putting his hand on Cody's shoulder. "Cody, Kari, and I can go. Tanjiro, Alluka, and Sojiro can stay in the city, defending it if something happens."

Kari took a deep breath after taking in what Tan was saying. He was right, if she thought they were illusions, she wouldn't fight like they need her too. She would probably just shut down even more. Looking at Tan she gave him a slight nod. "Okay then." She said before looking to Alluka with a soft smile. "I can be ready. With Cody and M'yrnn at my side, we can do anything." She said trusting her team completely.

"Yeah. I don't mind patrolling the city, I need a good stress relief," Sojiro said, cracking his knuckles.

"I want to say "Let's go right now", but we don't have any idea where the ship is," Tanjiro said. "We need to find that location first and then we'll go."

"I've already started searching," Circuit said. "It'll take me some time, but I'll find their ship."

"Until then, we wait." Alluka smiles sadly, knowing the usual method of waiting for the enemy to make their move.

Cody doesn't disagree on this. Even though they have the plan in ready, they have to do the waiting game. He moves his head to look at Tanjiro. "Hey, Tan. Is there anything else you want to address in the meantime?"


Sojiro folded his arms. He wasn't down with the idea of waiting, but with the ship not present, he couldn't protest.
