They say time flies but as of the date of this posting, today marks five years since the release of the 2017 Power Rangers reboot. What are your guys' thoughts on the cast and their performance of the movie? How did the ranger suits and Megazord designs turned out for you as a viewer watching this for the first time?

Why do people pretend this movie is good online?

I thought it was a good and underrated movie. Great story, decent character development and I liked how they handle world building while building up to the Ranger transformations.

Why do people pretend this movie is good online? Because in this day and age, normies are stupid. They only liked the movie because of representation. They go on and on about Billy being autistic like that's his entire character trait and it's kinda annoying. I also get it that if this movie did gangbusters, it would have done for power rangers what Michael Bey did for Transformers, but considering how bad the Transformers have gotten after the first movie, it is really worth. You can like the movie, but it makes me sick that people are making excuses for it. Simple question, if the movie was good, why did it bomb in every important aspect? Power Rangers 2017 is NOT an underrated gem, or a misunderstood classic, it is plain and simple, a bad movie.

Why do people pretend this movie is good online? Why do people pretend anyone remembers anything that happens in this movie other than the characters saying Krispy Kreme every 5 seconds in the last half hour?

The movie is good. But the actual landscape of superheroes movies and heavy competition buried this movie into oblivion. Plus Lionsgate barely did marketing campaign for this. This movie competed with Life (with Ryan Reynolds) and the atrocity of the live action of the Beauty and the Beast (who actually won the box office, but it's awful). Such a shame. The characters were more interesting than some characters in Marvel or DC films....
