Whow, I am surprised that nobody has even bothered to re-upload this discussion thread for this incarnation of Power Rangers. Now before we start discussing about the show itself, let's just get the elephant out of the room, shall we?!
Rick Mendina is an ex-convict. He was sent to prison for murdering his roommate with an authentic samurai katana because of an argument that they had about some woman back in 2015. But, as of last year, Mr. Mendina was released from prison. Whether it was due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic or he was released due to good behavior, or whatever. Bu with that being said, just because Mr. Mendina is an ex-convict, doesn't change how many of feel about the characters of Cole Evans (Red Wild Force Ranger) and/or Deker from Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai. Or both Wild Force and Samurai/Super Samurai as a whole. However, he is not going to be returning for any future crossover events for the show or for any future convention meetings and panel events because of his recent criminal background. Instead, Hasbro is just going go use the Red Ranger suit and a different voice actor for the character of Cole Evans. Don't let Rick Mendina's real-life issues affect how you feel about Power Rangers Wild Force and Samurai/Super Samurai as a whole. That's his problem and not our concern.
There!!! Now, we got that out of the way, let's just focus on the actual series of Power Rangers Wild Force, itself.

To commemorate the show's 20th anniversary, let us revisit the Wild Force Rangers' first morph and fight.

I decided to finish watching where I left off with Power Rangers Wild Force and yes. This is a very underappreciated season. Not as strong as Time Force, but it's still a good season overall and needs to be more appreciated now than in the past.

Why, because Cole returns looking like he could be the new kids father? 😜

Why, because Cole returns looking like he could be the new kids father? 😜 Hah! Nice! But actually I meant how Samurai and Wild Force were both Tzachor remaking the Sentai in the most preschool way imaginable and then the darker elements sneaking their way in there (Cole and Dr.Adler storyline in Wild Force and the Deker and Dayu storyline in Samurai) But yours works too!

Not quite. You see, back in 2002, Wild Force was trying to appeal to a much younger audience namely 4-7 year-olds at the time. Yes, that was the target demographic that made Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (season one) into a worldwide phenomenon back in the 90's. Mostly the acting, the whole "preaching towards saving the environment" tone and the Kite/Animus arc which feels like an idea for 4-7 year olds on paper. But story-wise...it actually felt like it was trying to aim for a more older audience when you think about several moments such as Cole's connection with the Master Org, Toxica and Jindrax's redemption arcs, the Zen-Aku arc and of course the final two episodes before the last 10 minutes of the finale. It's just that the writers couldn't make a decision if they want it to be a show for kids or if this is a story for an older audience. That and most of the writers involved with the production of Wild Force at the time were all Japanese writers who didn't speak English. So, there's that. But, I have seen Hyuakujuu Sentai Gaoranger for the fifth time and spoiler alert!!! It still sucks. Aside from the Duke Org Rouki/Gao Silver arc, all the episodes before and after that arc....they all f@#$'n suck!!! Even the Gaoranger movies aren't even that good. Then there was Hurricaneger VS Gaoranger which is still boring and predictable to watch. It didn't do the Hurricaneger cast members any justice. Nor did it ever advanced their storyline. Honestly, it's no wonder why the team-up movie is non-cannon to the Hurricaneger TV storyline. Wild Force is taking what was being given to them from Gaoranger's main storyline and pretty much just fixing it in adaptation in some areas. Samurai and Super Samurai could have been a new classic for a different generation of Power Rangers fans, if only it had its' own identity about telling a story about a modern-day Samurai lord and his five retainers. Or just go with Amit Bauhmik's original pitch of having a group of international Samurai warriors from across the world and have them fight the demons from the netherworld while adapting to the traditions and customs of being a Samurai taught by their mentor, duh?! That way, we could have avoided copying and pasting everything from the Sentai, note-for-note and we could still figure how to adapt Shinkenger into a show for a western audience and it would make the official Japanese dub of Samurai and Super Samurai feel less awkward for the voice actors. But, oh well... c'est la vie!But anyways, change of subject. Regardless of what happened to Rick Mendina in real-life, does anyone else think that we'll ever get to see any of the other cast members of Wild Force making a guest appearance for the next TV series or is this just it for the actors?

Yeah, nobody cares about the Hexagon pitch anymore. Especially now that Go-Busters has been officially adapted into Power Rangers Beast Morphers as the initial series of the Hasbro era. Although, I do like the idea of the Red Samurai Ranger being friends/rivals with what Deker's original name was going to be from the Samurai pitch. Now for the mentor role....yeah, they really should have made Bulk be the actual mentor-character of Samurai and Super Samurai. Spike could have been the team's Alpha in that show. But NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! That's "too creative. No!!! We'd have to be more original and the writers would have to put in a whole lot of thought into that!!!" No, Jonathan Tzachor wants everything to be too much like the God-damn sentai, note-for-note!!! I swear to God, if I keep this up, I am gonna start calling Jonathan Tzachor, "New Michael Bay!!" And trust me, we already have a Michael Bay clone for this franchise. His name is Bruce Kalish. Remember the Kalishplosions?!?! *sigh!* Still, we could have gotten something if they went with a different route for Samurai and Super Samurai, or if the production had at least an entire freaking year to prepare the show instead of rushing things for six months at the last minute because of reasons or whatever. So, here's to the new showrunner and executive producer of Power Rangers after season two of Dino Fury ends. I mean, the worst case scenario would be if the next series after Dino Fury suddenly went all super-woke and well, you know the old saying... "you go woke, you go broke." Ask the series creator of the CW's Batwoman, IDW Comics for cancelling the Transformers and G.I. Joe comic books, months ago.

Do you know which episode has the Bison Slash technique used by the Black Ranger with the Black Bison Axe and the Tiger Thrust technique used by the White Ranger with the White Tiger Baton?

No. Because if I did remember that episode, I probably have mentioned it only happening in the Sentai series, Gaoranger. But not in Wild Force, unless it's American footages.
