JT barely made it out of the strategy room when Dieck approached her. She was in the process of pulling out her phone when he asked about the situation.
"Sorry but no, I can't." JT was uncharacteristically short with the younger Ducard and rushed down the hall towards Reggie's lab.
"Mom?" JT dialed up her mom who was currently at home.
"Baby, what's wrong? Did something happen?"
"We were attacked during the meeting with the OGs and they stole a device Dad had the science people working on!"
"What!? An attack on Grid Battleforce? Are you okay? Is your father okay?"
"Mom, we're fine. Dad and the others are trying to plan out what to do next. Oh and Mom..."
"Yes, Sweetie?"
"It was Trios. He calls himself Helios and threatened something big. He sounded so evil compared to when we were kids."
"Don't worry. Your dad and the others will figure it out." Jules said, trying to calm her daughter down. "In the meantime, you stay safe. I love you."
"I love you too." JT ended the call with her mom before continuing on to Reggie's lab to fill him in on what's going on.

Before Dieck could even get a chance to stop her, JT already left. He dropped his hand, snapping his fingers out of frustration as he blew a sigh. He saw what happened; there's no denying. He thought of asking Joey, but he figured he's going to answer the same thing as JT's. How was he going to explain on what he just saw in the strategy room if he's going to get debunked again, leaving him in the dark. He had to get to the bottom of this. One way or another.
Dieck hurried to the opposite direction, deciding to head towards the main exit at the very least. Unfortunately due to the adrenaline, his lungs couldn't cooperate, forcing him to cover his mouth as he coughed loudly. He pressed his other hand to the wall, trying to keep himself steady while he soldiered on. And then, he stumbled backwards, slammed into the wall next to the laboratory door and sank to the ground, releasing his hand from his mouth. Never in his life did he felt too exhausted from the adrenaline. Maybe he shouldn’t use the treadmill earlier. Then again, it would be the same thing, he thought. Pulling out his phone, Dieck decided to inform one person about the situation. He’s the only one who believed in him after all.
<Papa, I'm still at Grid Battleforce. Something bad happened here!> Dieck typed in a simple, concise way.
<What?! How bad is it?>
Dieck sighed before typing again, explaining as best as he could. <As far as I know, a dark being destroyed the roof here. I went to check the commotion> <JT, Joey, and the UHA members were hurt but okay> <Dunno why the person attacked here. Maybe its something important>
<Are you hurt?>
Dieck bit his lip, knowing it was coming. <I ran a lot. But I’m not injured. I’m resting right now with my backpack w/ me>
<At least you’re at a safe location> <Do you know who the person is?>
Dieck didn’t know what to respond since it was all a blur to him. For what it felt like for minutes, he typed and retyped, not sure what else he could inform. <I don’t know. I'm sorry Papa>
The younger Ducard leaned his head against the wall, taking a few deep breaths to clear his mind. He found it hard to believe he had to witness something he’s not used to. Sure there were low level villains his dad encountered many times, but he didn’t expected to be that major. As he stared at the blank phone screen, the notification popped out.
<don’t worry. We’ll get to the bottom of it. Stay right where you are>
Dieck melted, wiping the tears away using the ends of his sleeve shirt. At times like this, he was grateful to have a dad like him who could ease his fears. <thank you for believing me, Papa. Love you> He typed back.
After a few seconds, the response popped out. <Love you too, syn>

Another hour passed since the introduction of Helios to the UHA by way of a bold break in to Grid Battleforce. The portion of the roof that was blown in was temporarily covered as they awaiting proper repairs. Others in the building heard that something happened but because nobody knew the entire story, everyone waited with baited breath as they were unsure of what would happen next seeing as though a brazen attack of this nature was extremely uncommon. The five leaders of the UHA were eating, discussing how to handle Trios who now goes by the villainous Helios. "Joey, we have to go after him." Zhane spoke in between bites. "Now that he has a transportal device, there's no telling what damage he can do or who he can use to help him do it." "His biggest beef seems to be with us for some reason so he'll definitely be back." Joey answered. "Trey, do you know why Trios would do something like this?" "I know that his relationship with the family was strained when he was a teenager but I give you all my word that I will find out what I can that may help us." Trey responded, visibly somber with seeing his nephew turn to the side of evil. "In the meantime, we need to do something about him now. We need to see who is available and mobilize a team to be ready when he does emerge." Andros spoke up a bit more forcefully. He felt for Trey, being someone who has had to deal with family turned to the dark side but also knew that the results could be disastrous if Helios was left unchecked. "I've got an idea. It's risky but no guts, no glory." Joey pressed a button in front of him, causing the panel in front of him to open, revealing a small keyboard. After a few keystrokes, several digital files hovered in the air. Joey pointed at one filed in particular labeled "Remix" with the Lightning Sting logo, and it opened up to reveal additional folders. "Joey, while I am sure that you are in excellent condition for a man in his 50s, the risk is too high for you to go into the field full time." The Phantom Ranger said as soon as he saw the Lightning Sting logo appear in front of them. "Thanks for calling me old but I'm not coming out of retirement." Joey laughed. "We had a feeling that this day would come and unfortunately it had to be today. "Still, most of the Rangers on the planet are either slightly younger or slightly order than me. We need to get younger and start building towards the future while we have the chance." "I agree that new blood is needed but are we sure this is the right time?" Andros asked. "We don't even know what other resources he has at his disposal." "We've got resources of our own and I always bet on us." Joey opened five more folders, featuring data on five young people. "So I've had my eye on a few prospects with putting this team together and this group isn't conventional but it could work if things fall right." Joey began speaking on each potential recruit. "Natalie Dawson. She's currently working as a reporter at the Synchro Gazette. She's very smart and driven but has a tendency to not think before she acts sometimes. Her reporter mind could work well for us." "Rose Isley. She's a definite wild card. No data I've collected ever called her a nice girl but being nice doesn't always equate to saving the world, just look at Storm." Joey smirked. "She's had some training but her specialty is bitching until she gets her way. Yes, that sounds horrible but if we can fish out that tenacity, she can be an asset for us." "Now here's where it gets fun... Dieck Ducard. He's a different type of kid but I love his eternal optimism. He's had training and is familiar with the Ranger lifestyle given who his dad is. His biggest draw back is his health which will be heavily monitored. Plus this will make much more sense in a second." "Terrell Evans, otherwise known as Ghost. He's a low tier criminal who ended up lifting a wallet off of Ronin, or Kamen Rider Wing Knight, formerly the Galaxy Storm Gold Ranger. Terrell's arrogance could have gotten him killed because few people survive after stealing from a former member of the Universal Thieves' Guild and one of the best thieves in the universe but Ronin saw something in him and brought him to Grid Battleforce where we've been training him in combat and using him in missions that involve data retrieval. He's a little prickly but that type of skill will be invaluable." "Finally, JT Brooks. Training from an early age in combat and tactics by some of the best in the Ranger community. She understands the Ranger culture and knows what it takes to win. Plus, she's my greatest achievement." Joey finished, laying out his potential Ranger lineup. "Are you sure? You're really rolling the dice on this group. Two of your choices haven't had a bit of field training, one is a health risk, one is a former thief turned jerk, and one is your daughter. With those personalities, are they going to be able to mesh?" Andros questioned he decisions, looking at the potential fireworks." "I'm not expecting it to be a smooth transition but last I checked, not all teams were a perfect fit. Hell yours and mine are two examples and we have won some of the most notable battles in Ranger history. Plus, baby girl has history with Trios. She may be able to leverage that. All they need is a chance." "I think it could be fun. It'll be great seeing how the new kids handle a threat like this." Zhane smiled, seemingly on board. "While I echo Andros' sentiments, I do understand the logic, especially with Joey's daughter. If this can get my nephew back without losing his life, I am willing to try." "I am also willing to support this venture." The Phantom nodded in agreement before looking over to Andros. "Okay." Andros sighed after having a moment to process it. "I'm still not sure with how this group will mesh but I am sure of you. Let's do this." "Great! Let's get to work." Joey stood up with a smile on his face, eager to get the ball rolling on putting this team together.

Steven was ready to put hands on Ghost when there was a bunch of commotion going on and a loud boom heard. Ghost watched as higher ups scurried around seemingly all headed towards a specific area as they told the younger soldiers to stay in their quarters.
Ghost raised an eyebrow as Steven was still in his way and he quickly flipped him over with a Judo throw laying him out. Ghost hurried off looking around as he looked for a sneak way past the Officials. He knew the information he was looking for was outside of the current building they were in. At the same time In the middle of the chaos two students began fighting giving Ghost the ultimate opportunity to sneak by as he hung close to the walls making his way out to find out more info.

After meeting with her team, Nat decided to head back to the office. She was usually the last one in. Mostly because she likes to edit herself and some other articles before sending them into their editor and chief. Her phone rang, looking to the screen it was her parents again. Sending them to voicemail she was back on the elevator in no time and rising to the office.

"You lost, Ghost?"
With the leaders of the UHA hard at work sorting out the details of their new venture, orders were handed out for everyone to stay in place. Of course with any group of people, there is always at least one to likely push the boundary just a bit. In this case, the star pupil wasn't quite clever enough as he was spotted by Memphis Clark, head of combat training and Joey's right hand man.

Upon arriving home, Rose shut the door and made her way to her room to put her purchases from the day away, ignoring her mother yelling at her from down the stairs. Shutting her door and locking it, the young woman sighed as she turned on the stereo, cranking up the music and drowning out her mother's hollering with some heavy metal. Banging her head to the music, Rose ripped tags off of clothes and hung or folded them and put them where they needed to go.
"Exit light! Enter night! Take my hand....we're off to Never-Never-land!" Rose sang out, shutting her dresser and closet. Hopping onto her bed as the guitar solo played, she grabbed her phone and bobbed her head. "Fuck yeah!"

Ghost cleared his throat as his posture straightened a bit. He was surprised he'd gotten this far. "Uh... well... Everyone is making noise about that little rumble felt earlier... You wouldn't happen to have inside info about that?"
Ghost had much respect for Memphis, his combat IQ was on a whole other level and Ghost could attest after being dropped on his ass more times than he'd care to admit by the man.

Dieck woke up about an hour later. He recognized the familiar glow- in- the-dark space stickers on the ceiling, and realized he’s back in his room. He touched his face, understanding he had an oxygen mask placed on his mouth to help him breathe. He slowly turned his head around and saw his father reading, or he pretended to be since he had worry marks on his face.
"Papa," Dieck croaked, his voice hoarse from disuse. Daniel glanced up in surprise and made his way to his bedside.
"Oi. You had me worried, Syn.” Daniel said, running his son's hair gently as if his worries being lifted the moment he heard his son’s voice. Then he told him of what happened after his last text.
Daniel arrived at Grid Battleforce after dropping off Nick at his friend’s place. He searched for Dieck’s location through GPS until he finally found him, passed out while holding on to his phone next to the lab door where other scientists were using. Daniel brought him back to room where he recuperated while he had to inform the others about it.
"But you know, you made it that far to tell me what happen," Daniel said with pensive eyebrows, "I try texting Joey but he hasn’t respond yet. Since the short invasion happened on the top floor, we have to stay inside the rooms until further notice."
"Dang," Dieck realized, finally sitting up after taking off the oxygen mask. After what he saw back there, it’s no surprised it had taken this long for an invasion to happen here. "To think that dark being went after the UHA leaders and JT for something important. I didn't get a chance to know his name."
"I see," The Dynasty Drive Silver Ranger whispered thoughtfully, already cleaning up the equipment and turned off the ventilator machine before moving them to the side. He sat by his son's bedside again and took out his phone to start typing.
"Are you going to try and text Uncle Boss again?" Dieck asked, and Daniel confirmed with a nod. "Aye. In the meantime, we wait. Hopefully, he will respond this time."

"Maybe." Memphis leaned against the nearest wall and folded his arms. "Here's what I know... you'll find out when it's time. Until then, relax."
The Dynasty Drive Gold Ranger gave nothing at the surface but as he expected of one of his favorites outside of his niece, he didn't anticipate it being long before Ghost picked up the tiny crumb left for him.

Ghost hesitated as there was something in the tone of Memphis' voice as well as his exact words.
"I'll find out? Are you saying... I'm getting in on a mission? Is it with you?! Is Master Ronin back? That's it isn't it? Or maybe..." Ghost stammered excitedly before regaining his composure thinking about it more.
"No... you're being too tight lipped for it to be those things... ugh come on man!" Ghost didn't envy anyone who tried to interrogate Memphis. "Do I have to go back to my quarters? It's boring and everyone is losing their minds in there..."

"I'll find out? Are you saying... I'm getting in on a mission? Is it with you?! Is Master Ronin back? That's it isn't it? Or maybe..." Ghost stammered excitedly before regaining his composure thinking about it more."I'm saying to relax. You'll find out soon enough." Memphis turned to walk away but stopped one more time, not even bothering to turn and face Ghost completely. "Yes, you need to go back to your quarters but don't get comfortable." Memphis finished before walking away, leaving Ghost with those words. *** The UHA was scrambling to formulate a plan of attack. During this strategy meeting, Helios was standing on a mountain top on the outskirts of the city, taking in what he had done to friends and family alike. Moments later, the sky began to darken. He looked up only to see that it wasn't the complete sky but rather a familiar ship hovering above him. He teleported himself onto the ship and looked around, before walking over to the ship's viewing screen. When the screen turned on, it revealed his ally in this crusade against the UHA. "Facilitator...to be honest, I'm still wondering how you managed to secure the Dark Fortress. No one has been able to locate this ship for decades!" Helios exclaimed, looking around at his surroundings. The cloaked figure couldn't help but chuckle. "It's simple, Dear Boy. After Zordon's wave purified the universe, all of the humans were so busy with Astronema, no one ever thought to secure the ship. The same goes for many battles across the universe over the decades. The heroes are so focused on their primary objective, they have left many opportunities for us to rebuild our forces and now is the time to strike!" "Exactly!" Helios nodded in agreement. "But to defeat an army, one must have an army and that is where this comes in." He held up the Transportal device with The Facilitator looking on in approval. "Excellent. I take it that your mission was successful then.." "Yes. Those old goats didn't see it coming! And they will soon pay for what they did to me and my planet. Now..." Helios turned on the device, preparing to use the device for nefarious means. "It is time to get to work."

<Dieck’s awake>
That was the words he typed before pressing SEND. Breathing in and out slowly and deeply, only barely not a sigh, Daniel hoped Joey could read the message while he waited with Dieck inside his quarters. He expected one day a new invasion would come, but he didn’t expected to be here at Grid Battleforce. To top it off, his son had to witness it all to the point he risked himself. That wasn’t the first time his son had to risk his weak lungs. More optimistic than he was, Dieck tended to be reckless because he didn’t want to fall behind. The stubborn will ran deep. Funny enough to Daniel, raising him, Quinlin, Ulster, and now Nick had been a blessing even though it’s also a curse.
The Dynasty Drive Silver went to the small refrigerator to grab two containers of fruit salad, two forks, and watermelon juice. Then he brought them over to Dieck’s bed so they could eat together to pass the time.
Dieck looked up and received his container of food from his dad. "Spasibo." He acknowledged him in fluent Russian. Since he realized he needed to eat after an excruciating event of his life, he might as well have something to occupy until they're allowed to leave. Grabbing the fork, Dieck opened the lid from the container and began eating his fruit salad while drinking the watermelon juice a few minutes after.

Another hour passed and Grid Battleforce was still buzzing with the UHA leaders preparing for this new and familiar threat with others desperate to find out just what happened. Suddenly, alarms began to blaze again and Joey along with the other UHA leaders rushed to the Command Center. Commander Brooks requested to have the main screen brought up, only to find a small army of robotic soldiers terrorizing the city. "Those don't look familiar. Helios must have used the transportal device." Andros cried out. "Yeah and that means we're out of time! Joey, we need to pull the trigger now." Zhane added. "You're right. I'll make those calls now." Joey got to work on contacting who he needed to in order to put his grand plan into motion. *** After Joey's call to explain the situation, Memphis went to find one of his star pupils, eventually finding Ghost back at his quarters. "Ghost!" Memphis called out. "You're with me. Let's go." He said over the loud sirens ringing in his ear. *** Joey sent a text to Daniel after realizing that he failed to reply to a few messages. <"Sorry for not responding. Didn't notice the texts but I need Dieck in the Command Center ASAP. Thanks."> *** For the girls, it would be a little rougher to retrieve them seeing as they weren't privy to the Ranger life but the Commander had a unique workaround. Arriving at Rose's home was none other than Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, fully armored up as it made him feel slightly less perverted for what he was about to do. Almost. "Rose Isley?" Kit looked at the young woman, wanting to confirm it was her before he moved. *** Ronin tracked down Nat while she was working and took a similar approach to Kit, appearing through a nearby mirror in his full Wing Knight armor. "Nat? Natalie Dawson?"
