"Ummmmm... I'm not sure what brought about that question, D." Joey looked at Dieck with a peculiar glance. "You know Reggie has wanted to work with Grid Battleforce for years and he's one of the smartest people I know. There is no looming threat so this is granting a kid a longtime wish and staying prepared. No more, no less." Joey finished with a smile.

Dieck pursed his lips for a moment before nodding. "I'm just wondering, you know," He said. When he listened further, his eyes furrowed. "I understand Reggie's goal. He finally got what he wanted. But what about JT?"

Rose tapped her fingers against the table, scrolling through her social media profiles. She looked over as the waitress finally brought her drink, and she rolled her eyes. "About time."
The waitress set it down, watching Rose and resisting the urge to bitchslap the woman in front of her. "I'm sorry, but there were--"
"I didn't ask for an excuse," Rose said, picking it up and taking a drink. She made a face and narrowed her eyes. "This is sweet. I said unsweet, you moron. Fix it." She shoved the drink back at the waitress, making a noise. "Incompetent idiot." She shooed the waitress away, rolling her eyes. "Fool. How do you get that wrong?" She scoffed and shook her head, going back to her phone.
After a while, Rose was given her food, the waitress nearly afraid to speak. Rose checked everything over twice before waving the woman away, making her way through the meal while scrolling through her phone. She tapped her fingers on the table as she scrolled, shoving her plate back. Looking up as she felt someone come to the table, she raised an eyebrow. "I help you?"
"Yes, ma'am. I'm the manager of the restaurant. My waitress informs me that you have been nothing but rude and unkind since sitting down," the new man said.
"And?"
"I'm asking you to leave," he said. "And to never return to my establishment. You are no longer welcome here. Please gather your things and leave. You have one minute."
Rose raised an eyebrow, standing up. "Excuse me? You can't kick me out."
"I Just did. Thirty seconds. Either leave on your own feet, or be arrested for trespass. Your choice," the manager said.
Rose scoffed and shook her head, grabbing her purse and tucking her phone away. "This is bullshit. Little snowflake waitress can't handle someone that's got a bad attitude? Welcome to life, whiny. Get over yourself." She shouldered her bag and shoved past the two, walking out and getting into her car. "Bastard."

After her messages played, Nat opened her laptop. With a deep breath, she started writing her story of the week.
"Hey Nat, we all decided that we were leaving early. Gonna go grab some food. Wanna come?" Her coworker asked after sheepishly sticking his head around the corner.
"That is so nice of y'all to ask, but I just got back and really need to get this story written. But thank you." She responded with a genuine smile.

"Some of them think you're showing off..." a soft feminine voice spoke sitting next to Ghost.
"They can think what they want Valerie... But why walk around with your nose up if you can't even back it up? I'm the best Agent here and prove it time and time again." Ghost responded knowing exactly who was sitting beside him.
"And What would Agent-" she was cut off
"Don't say their name... I haven't heard from em in the last year." Ghost said abruptly referring to the Agent who first brought him into the UHA when he was a boy.
"Besides... I've grown, the only person I have yet to exceed is Mr. Brooks." Ghost took a bite of his sandwich as he opened his can of pringles.
"You really think you can measure up to someone like that? That man led one of the most prestigious teams of Rangers ever in existence. I doubt anyone would trust you to lead a team." She giggled.
"Lead a team? Pfft as if... wouldn't want anyone slowing me down. But one day I'm going to be hand selected from Mr. Brooks to take part in something. Once he sees my scores there will be no choice." Ghost popped a few chips in his mouth.
"You sure do dream big. I like that about you..." she admitted before biting her pear.
"Not a dream... but thanks. You gonna drink your-"
She tossed him an apple juice box smirking as the two continued to have lunch.

Dieck pursed his lips for a moment before nodding. "I'm just wondering, you know," He said. When he listened further, his eyes furrowed. "I understand Reggie's goal. He finally got what he wanted. But what about JT?"
"Well JT wanted a car, so we got her a car." Joey laughed. "As for that other thing she wanted, that's not in the cards right now."
***
A few hours passed and Joey was back at Grid Battleforce in anticipation of a meeting he was set to have with the other leaders of the UHA. He walked through the halls, greeting anyone in ear shot while passing. He took a walk by Reggie's new lab and heard a wild mix of noises, signifying that his nephew was hard at work. Soon after passing, the lab door opened with JT walking out.
"Hey Dad!"
Joey turned around upon hearing his daughter call out to him. "What's up, Baby girl?"
"Are you having the meeting today?" She asked and Joey nodded.
"Yeah, I'm on the way to the roof to greet our 'guests' now."
"Sweet, I'll come with!"
"Be my guest." Joey rested his hand on his daughter's shoulder. Soon the father/daughter pair took the elevator to the top deck, exiting to the roof and the landing pad. Moments later, the Astro Megaship descended upon Grid Battleforce, landing safely on the pad. When the doors opened, an older Andros and Zhane emerged, the Kerovan Ranger duo who were two of Zordon's elite and eventually aligned with the UHA.
"You know, the teleportation system is functional." Joey said to the two exiting the ship.
"True but we weren't far, so we might as well take the scenic route." Zhane smiled before hugs were exchanged between the pairs.
"Are we the first ones here?" Andros asked.
"Yeah, looks like it." Joey noticed the sound of more engines, prompting him to look up. What he saw was the legendary Pyramidas and a sleek, silver ship built for one. When both ships landed, their respective pilots exited their crafts with King Trey of Triforia, the legendary Gold Ranger exiting Pyramidas and the Phantom Ranger exiting his small craft.
"Trey! Phantom!" JT rushed to both men, hugging them in short order. Joey on the other hand, took a slight bow in jest.
"A pleasure to see you, your grace." Joey smirked.
"You do know that I hate when you do that, right?" Trey smiled as the two shook hands properly followed by a fist bump to the Phantom.
"I believe that is everyone." The Phantom Ranger spoke and Joey nodded. Together, the five legendary Rangers along with JT went inside with the Rangers all set to have their UHA leadership meeting to discuss the safety of the universe.

After having fun at the steak house, Dieck opted to return to Grid Battleforce for work with the treadmill inside the training room. While he would've hang out with his Dad and Nick more, he decided to have his own time at the training room to keep up with his stamina. Besides there's still a few days for him to spend time with his Dad before he returned to work.
As the younger Ducard adjusted his oxygen mask and cranked up the treadmill, his mind went elsewhere. He hoped one day he could be part of something just like his father, at least to make a difference. Unfortunately, the cards wouldn't be placed until then. By the time legs began to sore and his breathing as well, he forced himself to stop. He sank down on the training room bench, basking in the few minutes of thoughtless exhaustion before he had to take his medicine again. A good lot that extra four kilometers did for him.

"I overheard that at some point this week... all the old legendary Rangers are getting together to discuss world saving stuff..." Valerie spoke in a hushed tone as Ghost raised an eyebrow.
"What reason would they have to do any of that? I mean I guess to go over regulations or something. The UHA has been leaving a lot to us Agents though... there haven't been any Ranger Level Threats in forever... and even if there were they'd get shut down immediately. At this point everybody knows any meetings between Rangers are a formal thing." Ghost yawned as he broke off a piece of cookie.
"Yeah that's right... but I also heard there are some rumblings in other galaxies... seems some aren't huge fans of the UHA either... now I don't think anything will come of it either but you know every criminal thinks their the next Lord Zedd or something and wanna take over the world and all that." Valerie shrugged.
"Yeah well till then I'm chilling just like you are."

The five leaders of the UHA arrived in Grid Battleforce's strategy room, all gathering around a large, round table. The five men took a seat. JT, having been satisfied with the walk, proceeded to exit the room. "Hold on, Baby girl!" Joey called out to his daughter. "Where are you going?" "Find something to do. I know you have your meeting." "I figure today we can make an exception. What do you guys think?" The earth commander looked to his comrades, all of whom nodded in approval. "Seriously?! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She ran to Joey and hugged him before hearing another clear their throat. "No hugs for me? I said yes too!" Zhane held up his hands in jest, picking at the young girl. JT did in fact go over to hug the rest of the Rangers as she was ecstatic to be able to listen in on one of these without having to hide in the vents or 'borrow' a listening device. "Okay, if we're good. let's get started." Joey said, shifting to business. "I'm unsure of the expectations you set for your people who work at this base, Joey. They always assume that a bunch of us are gathering when it's only five of us. Plus we've been gathering once a quarter for nearly twenty years to discuss various topics regarding the safety of the universe. The only thing that changes is that the locale is rotated every quarter so today it's Earth. I believe Triforia is next, then Eltar and KO-35 and we start again." Andros said, kicking off the meeting with more of a matter of fact reminder. "I do enjoy their chatter." The Phantom Ranger spoke up. "I makes me comfortable knowing that they're engaged." "Sometimes a little too engaged." Andros added. "We've had attacks here and there but nothing to the level of Zeo since Joey's team dealt with him twenty years ago. I feel like a lot of the people in this building are believing that they'll eventually get the chance to wear a morpher but that's not realistic." Andros spoke, serving as more of the realist of the group. "I get it and don't worry, I haven't promised any of those kids anything but I'm an optimist and at the end of the day, Grid Battleforce isn't some shadow organization. We're here to cooperate with each other and those kids are willingly putting themselves out there to help with our cause, knowing that this isn't some payday or path to spandex glory so I commend them for that." Joey responded, usually serving as the optimist of the group for most meetings. "Both of your points are valid. However it's important to note that these gatherings have been used to be proactive and assess potential threats before they become a massive problem." Trey added. "Are there any new issues to bring to the table?" Trey asked the group of five. "I have not discovered any new concerns of note since our last meeting." The Phantom responded. "Nothing on our end." Zhane answered, speaking for himself and Andros. "Things have been pretty quiet." "I have nothing new to report either. Things are progressing well." Trey added with a smile. "Safety wise, we're clean on Earth.. at least as clean as Earth can be. But I do have something to bring to the table." Joey dug a hand held device out of his pocket and showed it off to the group. "We've made new strides with the Transportal Device. Originally, we could only go to the same point in another universe and it has evolved over the years to where we no longer had to worry about memories being automatically wiped on re-entry. Thanks to additional collab work by the Eltarians and Karshians, we are now able to incorporate time travel in this device. So instead of going to another universe on this day, we can go that same universe in the past or the future." "Joey, this looks amazing!" Trey spoke while looking at the device. "Have you tested it yet?" "We did. I slid back to LA about twenty years ago. I could tell that the world was different because you had a guy swinging around looking like an elephant and one guy flying like an eagle with no visible wings. We got back before they could see us so no harm done." Joey revealed four more Transportal Devices, passing them around to the other UHA leaders. "And there's one for each of you. We should only be using these in emergency situations. We can't risk something nasty coming through those portals and giving us all hell." Andros nodded in approval. "Agreed. It's been peaceful for a long time and I'd like to keep it that way."

Rose slammed the door to her car as she got out at the salon, making her way inside. She walked up to the counter, her purse resting against it.
"Ah, Rose," one of the women said with a smile. "Come on back. We're already set up."
"Good. At least someone doesn't bullshit me," Rose said, walking over and setting her purse under the counter. "I'm not in a good mood, Maryse, so don't fuck this up."
"Of course not, hon," Maryse said, taking the bobby pins and hair tie out of her client's hair. "What is it today?"
"Cut. Two inches off the bottom. I'll come in next week for the color," Rose said, drumming her fingers on her leg lightly.

Finishing her final paragraph, Nat stood and gave a stretch. Maybe I can still catch them at the restaurant. She thought to herself shutting her laptop down and grabbing her bag. She quickly headed to the exit and opted for the stairs instead of the elevator. It was only three floors so it wouldn't take that long. Once on the street, she headed for the place her co-workers had met up at.

After a few minutes of relaxation and taking his inhaler again, Dieck took his things and left the training room. Once he's at the room beside his father's in case of late shifts, he entered in to change. When it came to a room like that, he had to share it with his brothers in case one of them stayed over for the night. It wasn't bad much. At least, it gave them space and bonding time.
Dieck stepped out from the room with fresh clothes on. He swung his backpack on his shoulder before he took off, deciding to take a stroll through the hall.

"Well I gotta get going Ghost got a recon assignment nothing exciting. Try not to piss off more people around here." Valerie giggled as Ghost waved her off.
He yawned as he got up as well and decided to return to his quarters as there weren't any assignments handed to him for the day.
Ghost sighed as he reached his room. Soon as he entered he turned on the TV and plopped down on his cot watching re-runs of SpongeBob his head rested against the wall. He began to wonder what more life had to offer than what he was experiencing. That's when a knock on his door was heard. He grumbled as he opened the door and there stood Steven from earlier.
"You think you're top shit huh?" Steven scowled as Ghost rolled his eyes.
"Can I help you Steven? You seem to be lost."

An hour passed and because there were no actual looming threats to discuss, the five leaders spent the next hour speaking on personal matters ranging from family to other interesting bits taking place on their respective planets. "Guys, it's getting late and I'm hungry as hell what say we find some dinner and you guys can head back tomorrow?" Joey suggested to the group. The other men were in agreement as sustenance was needed before they take any kind of trip. As they were ordering food, things were about to change drastically for the UHA and for the rest of the universe. A hole was blown in the roof of the Grid Battleforce building and an unknown man came through landing on top of the table, looking around at all of those in attendance. "Just as I thought, the five of you out of touch, has beens, sitting around like you're Zordon's gift to the universe!" "I don't know what possessed you to burst into here dude, but it's going to be a painful mistake!" Joey got into a fighting stance as did the other men. JT looked at the warrior, trying to figure out why he seemed familiar. "Is that your solution to everything? Just punch until its better!? You all have been sitting so high and mighty over the past twenty years that you have no idea what's coming!" "That is tough talk coming from a nameless beast!" Trey responded to the man who seemed taken aback by the insult. "Beast?" The man chuckled. "What I am is more than just a beast! I'm this universe's key to salvation and true balance but it's all right. I'm already used to you not understanding who I am.... uncle!" "Uncle!? Trios!? Is that you?" JT asked the man who scowled underneath his helmet. "I am NOT Trios!? That weakling is gone. For now and forever, it is Helios!" The dark warrior proclaimed. He looked down towards JT and shooed her away. "Nephew. I do not know what has polluted your mind but get down and we can speak on this together." Trey held his hands out, pleading for his family to cooperate. Helios walked over to the portion of the table where Trey was standing in front of. For a moment, he looked as if, he would grab Trey's hand but instead, Helios summoned a unique sword with a bit of a z pattern with the blade and swung for Trey's head. Thankfully, Andros blocked it using his Spiral Saber. "Trios, stop!" Andros cried out. "My name.... is HELIOS!" Helios unleashed a wave of energy from his body, knocking all of the Ranger leaders back along with JT. He jumped off of the table, landing right over Zhane. He took Zhane's Transportal Device and pointed his blade at all five men. "You all are lucky I have what I came for. Say whatever prayers you must because next we meet, you will all suffer for what you did to me and I promise to burn this planet to the ground!" Helios vanished in a streak of black and gold light. Joey got to his feet and rushed over to JT, checking on his daughter. "Baby girl, are you okay?" "Yeah I'm fine." JT rubbed the back of her head. "What was that all about and why is Trios changing his name like that?" "I don't know, but we're going to find out." Joey said. He was about to put the call out to the personnel in Grid Battleforce before being stopped. "Joey, wait." The Phantom Ranger spoke up. "While I agree with being transparent with your people, might I suggest we gather information first so that we know what we're dealing with." "The Phantom's right." Andros nodded in agreement. "Clearly he was here to make a statement and steal some tech. "We need more data before we engage this guy." "You're right." Joey said down in his chair, relenting after finally taking a breath. "Seems like we'll still need that dinner because we may be here for a while." "A mission? Yes! What can I do, Dad?!" JT asked, awaiting an answer with baited breath. "You can let your mom know what's going on." Joey saw JT's disappointment and kissed her forehead. "Don't worry, you'll get your chance. Just be patience." JT smiled softly and left the room, leaving the five Rangers to begin working on how to combat this friend turned new foe.

Dieck spent the next hour eating at the cafeteria before resuming his walk again. When suddenly, he heard a strong shake from the roof. Wondering what's going on, he changed his direction and ran to where the source was located. Since there's a lot of workers running away, he had to slither his way through without getting caught under the traffic. Just as he escaped, he heard another crash from a distance, which was not far from him. Using the wall to keep him steady, the younger Ducard tread carefully until he finally stopped at the room. He took a peek inside and his face drained at the sight of Joey, JT, Trey, Andros, and Zhane on the ground, injured. He also spot a new dark being walking over to them, which scared him.
So Dieck quickly moved away, not wanting to get caught if the dark being spot him. He took a slow, deep breaths, trying to compose himself. He didn't hear everything else since he's too occupied with his breathing exercises. Eventually he opened his eyes again. He took a leap of faith and peek again when he saw the UHA leaders, Joey, and JT getting up while the dark being was no longer here.
Dieck didn't know what's going on but he wanted to find out now. So he saw JT exiting, he moved away so he could adjust his backpack again before he quickly caught up to her. "JT, I just hear the crash from the roof! Can you tell me what's going on?"
