Last night episode 6 was pretty good. Saw some nice bonding with reed and andy. Lure looks to be developing a relationship with that illusion making mutant boy. Was cool to see Polaris wanting to train the young mutant kids. And the break in to the federal building was cool.

I found this episode to be a little bit bland. Honestly the worst part of this show is the Strucker parents (Which hurts me to say, because like most people I adore Amy Acker). In a world where all these super people are trying to save themselves from extinction the two of them are such duds. Let the kids train, Caitlin. Let Andy channel his teen hormones into his power usage, Reed.
As usual, Polaris, Eclipse and Blink were the highlights. I like that Blink isn't just brushing off the fact that she was mentally violated, though I hope she returns soon. Emma Dumont is just nailing it as Lorna.
I really want them to get the ball rolling on Ahab and the Hounds plot, there's a lot of potential there.
And what's most intriguing to me is the fact the X-Men chose Thunderbird to lead them. They were planning for this all along? Why was he chosen, was he actually an X-Man for a bit? Who chose him, Cyclops? Storm? Will this connection end up explaining where they went?

Today's episode was really good. The villain is actually quite terrifying, largely because he seems quite real.
Maybe I should have seen it coming, but I was actually quite stunned at the Reed is a mutant reveal. It reminds me of that story where neonazis took a dna test and found out they were part Jewish lol.
I think everybody suggests Dreamer use her powers way too liberally. Sure she'll help someone in the moment, but I feel our memories make us who we are. I would be devastated to find out they were altered at so,e point in the past, even it were to remove sad ones.
This develop, ent on the Strucker kids is interesting, I can't wait to see what happens when they "hold hands."

Good episode tonight. Was curious to see what was up with the physic mutant deal was. Also was cool about the struck erstwhile learning more about there family history. And what can happen when kids hold hands. Also with them trying to free the capture mutants at trask.

Another strong episode. It was a neat twist to the formula to habe them fail/get captured. Although why did Blink suddenly have such limitations on her powers? Like, she couldn't just make a portal back outside? Suddenly she needed to know what direction they were facing, where each hallway led to, which way the wind was blowing, etc.
It was also interesting how Andy, aka Mr. I Wanna Destroy Everything, is the one who stopped them from leveling the building.
Next week looks wild, with the Struckers at Turner's house and everything.

RIP Dreamer
I knew Esme was going to be revealed as a Cuckoo. But isn't she usually one of the dead ones, not the trio?
I like that Turner is being confronted with his actions in a reasonable way.
Awesome Weapon X reference!
It's also kinda dumb that they labeled this a 'midseason finale' when there's only three more episodes.

Very good episode this week. And holy cap bye bye dreamer. That was said to see. And I feel bad for the strucker kids as they didn't want to help Campbell out. And I liked the nod to weapon x and Logan with the testing room. And the end reveal of the stepford cuckoos.

Personally I quite liked the last episode. I like how it's so unclear whether the Cuckoos are heroic or villainous, and the audience is left as divided about it as the mutants are.
I think the show needs to do more of this kind of thing. Bring in some second string characters that aren't quite film ready but comic fans will recognize. Like SHIELD has done with Deathlok, Mockingbird, Quake etc. More lower tier but still cool mutants.
The dual funeral was kinda dumb. I feel like they were trying to show both sides were equally human there, but the humans mourning a literal bigot and terrorist complicit in torture and murder fell flat for me.
Also I feel it would have been better if the Strucker kids had stood up to their increasingly useless parents about the leaving decision.
And the lack of a real fight scene at the end was a little disappointing. Seeing Thunderbird, Eclipse, Blink and Polaris arrive on the scene made it look like it was about to go down but...nothing.
So finale coming up. Looks like the main conflict will be if Polaris is going to keep turning more and more into Magneto. Plus Lauren and Andy finally weaponizing their shared power!
EDIT: Sweet, a renewal! I'm glad, I've really enjoyed this show.

Its cool that two of the actresses that are on The Gifted use to be on Once Upon a Time.
