People say that Power Rangers Ninja Storm is a comedic season. But, they seem to have forgotten about the Thunder Rangers mini-series which isn't really comedic when you think about it. That and the fact that Lothor's younger self from "A Samurai's Journey, Part II," Kenai doesn't seem to match the personality of his future self. I mean, it's got some moments where it's trying to be funny. But, the tone of the season just doesn't seem to fit well with the story it was trying for tell. The only times where it actually did feel like a comedic parody of itself were in the episode, "The Wild Wipeout" and Lothor breaking the fourth wall like he's supposed to be the Shredder from the 1987 Ninja Turtles animated series. Everything else, just doesn't seem to work. Now compared to its' Sentai counterpart, "Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger" THAT was a comedic show from beginning, middle and end. And the only time it got serious was when they killed off Lady Gozen and Shurikenger and when it got to the Gouraigers killing each other because of their father's aggresive training. Then there was Power Rangers Ninja Steel where that was trying to be like Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, but with ninjas and an intergalactic reality game show for the main villains. But, you can easily tell that Ninja Steel, itself was already aware that it was a gonna have a comedic tone the minute they included an intergalactic reality game show for the villains and Victor and Monty being humiliated. Save for the fart jokes because that was stupid. And I mean it. POWER RANGERS DOESN'T NEED FART JOKES!!! That kind of humor may work on other shows, but not here. But yeah, the story, itself wasn't very good. But, the tone itself was intentionally comedic. Just not the kind of comedy that we're used to watching like Deadpool 2, Jim Carrey in "Liar, Liar" or Gekisou Sentai Carranger, etc.
So, and in all, I don't think that Power Rangers Ninja Storm is a comedic season. But Ninja Steel on the other hand, yeah....this is more comedic. Same goes for Carranger and Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger which were also intentionally comedic.

Yes, it’s a comedic season. Just because the series isn’t played as a joke every single second doesn’t mean the overall tone isn’t comedic. Most comedies have moments of serious pathos.

You seriously cannot tell me you watched a whole season of Lothor and didn’t think it was a comedic year.

...We had an episode where two of the rangers were stuck in a giant popcorn container and they used the butter they were covered with as a weapon.
And an episode where the women in town all fell in love with the main villain through a magic sitcom. And an episode where their mentor (who was a talking guniea pig who could break a cinder block.) switched bodies with two of the rangers. And an episode where one of the rangers built a hologram clone of himself and had to stop the monster from turning his friends into perfume.
I don't think it's a question whether Ninja Storm was a comedic season or not.

Seeing in persepective, it's kinda comedic, because Marah and Kapri were pretty much a comedy duo, like Bulk and Skull, (or Vicor and Mony) but in the side of the villians. And Lothor was pretty much comedic, as a villian...... .....until the last saga, where the villians started to betray each other, Marah and Kapri were about to get killed by their own uncle, and Lothor basically opened Hellmouth. Power Rangers has always been comedic, in a certain way. It had better humor than Ninja Steel and Beast Morphers tho.......

Well, better humor than Ninja Steel and season two of Beast Morphers to be more precise. Also, you misspelled Monty's name. Still, at least it's like any of the current Sentai shows like Ninninger, Zyuohger, Kyuuranger and Ryuusoulger. They could never get comedy right in those shows. ...We had an episode where two of the rangers were stuck in a giant popcorn container and they used the butter they were covered with as a weapon. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!! I remember those episodes. But, I don't think they were any special to write home about, story-wise. They were just filler episodes. Now, if you look at something like Megaranger where they have filler episodes, but they actually progress in developing a character arcs where we do get some major story arcs where they in fact raise the stakes. Also, if you remembered the Megaranger episodes where Chisato's grandmother came to visit and Shougo's girlfriend, Megumi came to give Kenta a new program for his Battle Riser's 03 mode, but Kenta thought she was asking him out on a date, then you can easily tell how the writers were trying include comedy with dram in those episodes. And it worked, for the most part. Ninja Storm....it was taking what was being given to them from Hurricaneger and they thought it was meant to be seen as a comedy show. But, no. It wasn't. Not like Ninninger where that was an actual parody of ninjas and action movies. Just not a very good parody. Plus, in Ninja Storm they tried a set up a relationship arc between Blake (Navy Thunder Ranger) and Tori (Blue Wind Ranger). But, it never really had an actual direction or a conclusion for that matter. They just stopped doing it. Now Dustin (Yellow Wind Ranger) and Marrah... THAT had potential and it could have worked if they had focused more on those two growing as rivals even if it is a comedy subplot. Because that's where the real humor was. So many missed opportunities with these two.

...And none of that means it wasn't a comedic season.

one of my favourite lines of the entire franchise:
Tori: Sensei, Lothor’s planning to brainwash the world through TV! Sensei: He’s a little late for that.

New question and it may also seem a bit off-topic. Does anybody want to see Power Rangers Ninja Storm be adapted into an actual movie or not? I mean, if it does get adapted into a movie, I am more concerned about what kind of tone and story it will go for as opposed to what the the source material was like when it came out in 2003.
Any thoughts?

Im good on that movie even though it was a good series. Probably wouldve been a better movie back then. I will say this, I think Ninja Storm wouldve been a better series for Disney to lead off with rather than Wild Force.
