I haven't seen all of Kamen Rider Revice, just yet. But, I did see Kamen Rider Jeanne's debut episode and I really don't want Shinichirou Shirakura to kill her off because of his misogynistic sexist bulls@#$ about female characters not being worthy of becoming Kamen Riders like in the majority of the Heisei-era.

I sincerely don't care anymore if a male or female Kamen Rider die, as long they have a good motive to kill the character. I'm a litle ofuscated in the last years everything seems so sugar-coated in Kamen Rider, and nobody dies or nobody seems to die, at least a mayor player. Even if I loved Zero One, some resurrections rubbed me off of taking the plot seriously. Specially Jin (I know, a Hu,agear, a robot, but his resurrection and death, TWICE!, didn't impress me becuase the later resurrections of the character) and Izu. Saber is a disaster. No point in bringing it to the conversation. I hope Revice to have some guts, and some "deaths" have an everlasting effect......

I hope Revice to have some guts, and some "deaths" have an everlasting effect...... I guess maybe the reason why we had such a poor history of female Kamen Riders is because the writers don't even know how make female characters look strong in these type of shows. Or relatable for that matter. I mean, they didn't do Kamen Rider Femme any justice in Ryuki the Movie: Episode Final. Kamen Rider L'Arc was a one-dimensional asshole character that nobody cares about in Blade: The Missing Ace. Just like Kamen Rider Lance. Oni Rider Shuki...well, she was just suicidal and I don't like that. Akira was wasted in Hibiki's second half. Kiva-la was just lucky in Movie War 2010. Nadeshiko is okay. She's safe. Then there was Mayu (Kamen Rider Mage)..... my God was she a huge letdown!!!! Armored Rider Marika was brought back to life in Kamen Sentai Go-Rider because "fan demand!!!" There was Takatora's friend in the Kamen Rider Zangestsu v-cinema who became a femaleRider, but she was the villain in that movie, Nico was alright and Poppy just stopped being a Kamen Rider afterwards. And we don't talk about Aria as Necro-P since she sucks as a character. And I don't want to talk about Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi because WHHHHHHHYYYY?! She just became a Rider near the end of the show and there was no build up or anything for that moment?! Plus, Tsukuyomi was horribly fleshed-out as a character. So yeah. It's really sad that the only person that got an real depth as a character was Tackle from "Kamen Rider Stronger" and yet, she was never officially acknowledged as a Kamen Rider?!

˄ Again, I don't care if the female characters died or don't and I don't think is a problem if they are relatable or don't. The male characters don't seem to be relatable most of the time. They are ideals most of the time, with few weaknesses, at least in the latest years. And the list of male Kamen Riders that are a letdown and that are dead seems longer than the female one. So complaining about that, it seems pointless.

Ok, I just finished Revice. It's ......OK. Probably people saying "it's the best series ever" is a bit too much. It's better than Saber (and I'm gonna defend the CGI backgrounds of that series, I didn't care, but the plot in the second half was meh) I't just a 6/10 series to me.

So, would you say that this a show that other people can either skip or just check it out if they are newcomers? Also, on a scale of 1 to 10, what do you think the chances are that Shout! Factory might want to release this series into the U.S. in the near-future?

If you are a newcomer, I should say, Zero-One is a great starting point. Great storylines, great characters, a little messy in the middle chunk, but good finale. That's a 8/10. Revice is odd. Some people defended as "it's about family and friends" and "not every series has to end with afinal battle witha villian". I kinda agree, but, I don't think it's representative as a Kamen Rider series. In fact, it's more Super Sentai than KR, in a sense. Gosh, the main criticism of Saber is people saying it was "too much like a Sentai" (or the CGI was bad). The other thing is very bland in stories, probably Geoge has the best development. But, I dunno. I didn't care a lot about the relationship between Ikki and Vice. It was OK.
