Daniel marveled at how quickly time passed. His eyes glanced around at the nostalgically familiar place – despite being an upgrade to the previous Megaship he stayed; stared at the newer additions across the hall. Almost five years ago he had been a young Ranger living in that very setting, and the prospect of his future had been nothing but a hazy blur.
In that moment, the Silver Ranger fancied himself remarkably weird. Most people would be feeling sad at the realization of having their younger lives behind them, but he could find no longing for the past anywhere in his heart.
His moment of introspection was effectively finalized by the time he entered in the War Room. Watching familiar faces on screen made Daniel to feel a wide range of emotions. From happily welcoming Eubulon to respectfully saluting Trey, Zhane, and the Phantom Ranger along with Dex, who the Silver Ranger perfectly hide his awkwardness from due to his previous actions in Edenoi despite being unintentional. Nevertheless, he did feel glad to see him again.

"Thank you all for being available." Andros started, speaking to the people on the ship and those participating virtually across the galaxy. "We all know what we're up against. Rangers, I'm sure Commander Storm has briefed you all on Zeo's history and the tech he has access to, so that saves us some time. With the attack he ordered on Delta Command and his pursuit of the five of you means he's getting desperate. Couple that with the attacks on Eltar and Aquitar and it's clear that his goals are expanding beyond just Commander Storm and Earth."
"We believe that Zeo is targeting locations that either contain tech that aids his cause such as the additional Z-Bonder and items to modify his Dimensional Device or items that strengthen the Rangers such as the Hyperdrive Cell or the litany of weapons at your disposal." Trey chimed in.
"With your team be smaller than most and the Morphin' Grid being disabled, we need to prepare for the worst. We must even the playing field to give you guys a chance and to give us a chance.... in case you fail." Dex's voice trailed off with those last four words. He didn't want to say it but with a threat this large, they had to look at every possible scenario.

"Well, I love the vote of confidence." Nolan said sarcastically. "But you do have a point. The only ones here ranger wise that have had experience is Joey and Memphis and Daniel. So what did you have in mind?" Nolan said as he listened in.

"Well, I love the vote of confidence." Nolan said sarcastically. "But you do have a point. The only ones here ranger wise that have had experience is Joey and Memphis and Daniel. So what did you have in mind?" Nolan said as he listened in.
"I mean no disrespect." Dex said in an effort to offer clarity. "We have been watching your exploits very closely and given the circumstances being more dire than perhaps any other this universe has ever seen, the five of you have performed remarkably."
"Although the experience of Joey, Daniel and Memphis has proved useful, we are dealing with the greatest threat this universe has ever seen, trumping even Dark Specter and Xenotox." Eubulon added. His words nor his tone were lost on anyone.
"So he's not a big bad, he's THE big bad. Got it." Memphis folded his arms, sitting back in his chair. "So like Nolan said, what's our move?"
"We need to flip the switch and turn the grid back on." Andros answered the question. "And reverse the effects of the their Dimension Device. If we do that, we can put Garland back in his proper place in time and without their tech, it'll just be Zeo and Xavier versus the rest of us."
"Not exactly." Commander Finley spoke up, expressing some reservation about the plan. "Turning the grid back on sounds nice but if we reverse the effects of the Dimension Device now, we not only take Garland off of the board, we lose Memphis and we need all of the help we can get. Unless....."
"Don't finish that sentence." Memphis cut the Commander off. "I made a promise that I was going to kill that bastard. I can't and won't even entertain leaving until that job is done."
Dr. Manx smiled, feeling relieved to hear the Gold Ranger's conviction regarding staying at least for now. "So back to the grid. That tech is on their ship and they'll see us coming from a mile away. Even if we get on the ship, how do we make sure that they don't just cut it off again?"
"I can answer that question, doctor." The Phantom Ranger entered the conversation. "I was able to secure what the Eltarians' version of a Tech Jammer. If you can attach it to the device used to shut down the grid, it will override the off switch, allowing the power of the grid to be fully restored."
Andros pulled the tech jammer out of his jacket pocket, placing the small silver device on the table for everyone to see.
"What about getting on their ship?" Commander Storm spoke up, restating Dr. Manx's first question.
"We can use Dan's mirror travel." Memphis said, much to the surprise of everyone. Not because of the idea but because they all worked under the assumption that Zeo took precautions from that happening ever since it was put back in play. "Before you all showed up, Zeo and his goons paid us a visit. As they left, Xavier flashed a small mirror he held in his hand, making sure I saw it without saying anything. I think that's our ticket on that ship."
"That sounds too convenient. They could very well be using that to lure you all into a trap." Zhane argued, feeling that option was extremely dangerous.
"At this point, we don't have a choice. It's either don't do it and wait for him to pick us off or take the shot and at least give ourselves a chance." Joey spoke up for the first time in this meeting.
"Joey, I understand your logic but if this fails, it will spell certain doom for this universe... and possibly the multiverse." Eubulon countered.
"Then we won't fail." Joey said with conviction, projecting the ultimate confidence in his team getting the job done.
"But Joey...."
"I didn't fuckin' stutter!" Joey snapped. "We've come too far and sacrificed too much to shit the bed now. Y'all can worry and talk all you want but the idea is the best we've got, so we're gonna go with it and then we're gonna end this."

Daniel listened intently throughout that whole meeting. At some point, he smiled at Memphis's words. While he knew he’s going to say goodbye to his friend, it's too soon to do that. Not when there’s work to be done. It wasn’t until the last part that he had to speak up, to convince his old mentor that they had to do this.
"Eubulon, it's okay," Daniel said. "We know what we are doing and this is now or never. While things take an unexpected turn, there's still a chance to change the tide against Zeo. We must do this."

"I'm with the guys. The odds are against us. Deck never been stacked higher. But we were chosen for a reason. We might never ever get another chance. This is the chance we have to take. It was a pleasure talking to you all and after this is all said and done, I'd like to meet you all personally if you will allow me to." Nolan said as he smiled at the round table and at the legends on screen.

"I guess that makes this unanimous." Jennifer added, siding with her teammates. "We've been playing from behind all year long and if we have a legitimate shot to end this, we have to take it. It has been a rough road but I've gained so much. I've gained a new appreciation for the courage it takes to make these decisions every single day and push forward." She looked at Joey with a warm expression.
"I've learned that it's okay to think and live outside of the box." She said, quickly looking over at Memphis and Daniel in appreciation. "And most importantly, I've found someone precious to me that I'm not ready to let go of." A single tear dropped from her eye when her gaze drifted over to Nolan. She wiped her eye and looked back at the screen. "I'm sorry, everyone." She sniffed.
"No apologies necessary, Jennifer." Trey nodded in appreciation of Jenn's emotional words. "I knew Zordon for perhaps longer than anyone in this room. Even though none of you had even met that great man, you all embody what it means to truly be Power Rangers and if he were here... I am sure he would be extremely proud of the choices that were made in selecting the five of you."
"I agree with Trey." Zhane added, co-signing for his sixth Ranger counterpart and fellow member of Zordon's elite squad. "Yeah, you guys kick ass! Bring it home!"

Nolan grabbed Jenn's hand and squeezed it as he smiled. Jenn was right in everyway shape and form. Nolan couldn't have said it better himself even if he tried.

Daniel nodded in appreciation, happy that the meeting turned out well as he thought. "We will not let you down, everyone."

The Eltarian ship hovered in the sky, eerily quiet for a vessel so large. Zeo paced back and forth, feeling an unusual combination of sorrow and rage after his interaction with the Rangers.
"How dare they..." He trailed off. "I have given them chance after chance and to dwell on the holy grail, using my father's memory for their benefit is the last straw! If they wish to continue with this fruitless crusade, I will make them see just how futile their efforts are before I end their miserable existences once and for all!"
Xavier's heart broke with seeing Zeo's descent into the darkness. The light that bonded them over the decades has all but faded and only evil remains. He walked up to the Gold Guard, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Zeo, I...."
"What!?" Zeo knew Xavier was only trying to comfort him but all he saw was blood. "I need you to use the device to send down something the Rangers won't be able to stop."
"Yes...Lord Zeo." Xavier felt dirty addressing Zeo in this manner. Before, he would do it out of respect to the Eltarian he cared for most but now it was more out of fear of not knowing what Zeo would do. "What warrior would you like to send?"
"........ ALL OF THEM!"
*******
Commander Storm looked on at the five Ranger, covering his mouth so that he couldn't be seen smiling. After all of these years, this is what he envisioned the Power Ranger could be coming to fruition with him feeling a sense of fatherly pride after seeing Joey who had been like a son to him evolve from the brash kid he recruited at 17 to this confident, seasoned leader who was in full sync with his team in what looked to be the calm before the proverbial storm.
"Whatever last minute prayers or stretches or mushy shit you all need to do, now is the time." Commander Storm said. "Because it's full speed ahead once this plan goes into motion."

It took a minute for anyone to initiate, but alas Daniel became the first to speak. "Oh what the hey." He grumbled about being first until he blew a sigh in order to alleviate his nerves.
"Okay. Before we do the last hurrah, I just want to let you all know that working with you has been a great pleasure. Memories or not, this has been the most fun I ever had. Not only to work alongside my idols." Daniel smiled at Joey, Commander Finley, Dr. Manx, and Commander Storm. "I gain new friendships I will forever cherish." He proudly looked at Nolan, Jennifer before smiling at Memphis. After that, he briefly stared at the table before moving his head higher. "Being the Power Ranger for the second time gives me a chance to discover my true purpose in life, which I now found it." The Silver Ranger grinned before ending his speech. "And so for the bottom of my heart, thank you."

Memphis nodded in appreciation but kept his arms folded with his expression not changing much. "We've been together long enough to say what needs to be said and at this point, we know how each other feels and what we have to do, so let's get it done so no other innocent people have to die."
"Storm, I need to talk to you for a minute." Joey stood up, addressing his original commander. Storm followed Joey out of the war room, walking down the halls of the ship until they were far enough away from everyone else.
"I need a favor."
"No."
"No? What do you mean no? I haven't even asked you for anything yet!"
"I know you, Brooks. And I know that you're going to ask me to deliver a message to Grayson in case you die in the field."
Joey paused for a moment, silently cursing Storm in his head, knowing he was right. "And what if I am? Why can't you do it?"
"Because if you're thinking of not coming back there's a part of you that thinks that you may not succeed and if your full focus isn't on ending this and making it back in one piece, you will fail. So no, I won't tell Grayson anything. If you have something to say to her, you say it yourself... after you return."
Joey chuckled, shaking his head at the older Commander. "You sure do have a way with words."
"No. That's just knowing you since you were 17." Storm responded."
"So if you knew what I was going to say, why take this walk?"
"Because I needed to look you in your eyes and make sure you were ready to do what needs to be done."
"I don't need a pep talk. I'm ready to end this."
"Are you sure? I know what the son of a bitch has put everyone through. He's the strongest foe this world... no this universe has ever seen and there won't be any more negotiating or imprisonment."
"He took my brother... our comrade. He has taken the lives of Rangers and Eltarians and oversaw the death of innocent humans. He's even worked to undo Brooklyn's work all those years ago and for all the people he's killed, I'm going to end him. THAT is a promise!"

"Yeah, this has been one hell of an adventure. Learned a lot of things along the way. Gained friends, worked with past rangers, all of it was incredible. Found confidence in myself that I never knew existed. But on top of it all, I gained a companion." Nolan said as he looked at Jennifer and grabbed her hand. "Whether we live to tell the tale or we go down swinging, it's been a privilege to be ranger and a friend to all of you. May Zordon himself look down upon us and give us the strength to fight our final battle." Nolan said.

Jennifer smiled at Nolan as he took her hand. When he was finished she sat there a moment to gather her thoughts before speaking. "When I first became a ranger there were times that I could only see the long tough road ahead. As we fought side by side and our team grew it seemed to be easier to see the end of the road. It became easier to believe that we could stop Zeo once and for all." She smiled at everyone before continuing. "No matter what happens after today I can take comfort in the fact that I have done everything I can with my friends and the man I love by my side."

"I take it that we missed a few more speeches?" Joey asked, walking back into the war room with Commander Storm.
"Pretty much." Memphis said in response. "All we're missing is one big ra ra speech from Finley to make us feel really warm and fuzzy."
"I'm no motivational speaker. I leave that to the kids.. maybe the doc."
While everyone was speaking a loud alarm rang on the Megaship. "Andros!" DECA called out. "There are several cases of evil energy surfacing on Earth, all heading towards Synchro City."
"How many do we have to contend with?" Andros asked his AI. "Three? Four? Five?"
"At least several hundred... and rising."
DECA's count made everyone stop and pause. "To say Zeo isn't fucking around any more is a definite understatement." Commander Finley said in response. "DECA, can you get us a visual?"
"Yes. Stand by." The screen turned to reveal images of several villains. Some of them were more familiar than others yet equally as dangerous.
"My god!" Dr. Manx looked on in horror. "The Eltarians have found a way to maximize the output of their Dimensional Device and brought villains from across the multiverse!"
Before anyone could lose hope, Commander Storm spoke up. "This changes nothing. It just means that we need to move now and get to that ship and shut that device down."
"Commander Storm is right. If we can shut that machine down, we can still reverse what they did and send those foes back to their respective timelines." Dr. Manx added.
"We also have to be careful with how we deal with those uglies." Commander Finley addressed the team. "We don't know who all that son of a bitch pulled to our world. If possible, try to avoid killing them. There's no telling what effects that could have on the timelines and the multiverse as a whole if a bunch of people die that aren't supposed to die.. at least by our hands."
"So it's 5 vs infinity and we're handcuffed because of some time and space rules and I care not to understand. Wonderful!" Joey's tone oozed with sarcasm but at least now, he knew that it was time to go to work. "Dan, get ready to leave. Memphis, you're with him. Nolan and Jenn, you two are with me. We need to hold off that army as long as we can to give the others time to work."
