3 straight episodes of no Ben and Betty. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, so refreshing. Shame it's back to the old grind.
Power Rangers Beast Morphers Episode 35: Golden Opportunity October 31, 2020
Synopsis: Nate is reunited with his dogooder parents, who offer him a compelling and difficult choice.

Family reunion.
-Imagine being gone for a few months and finding out that you have another son who's half robot out of nowhere. -Steel is just great. -Damn it, we went three episodes with Ben and Betty. -Oh, it's THIS kind of episode. -Why would you ever trust Ben and Betty with... anything? -"Since I met you, you always wanted to be with your parents" It's been brought up once in the entire series. -Wow, they referenced Megan. And somehow STILL forget Blaze and Roxy. -Plant DNA? -WAIT, SO THEY'RE USING BEETLES NOW? -Zoey's brother she's super close with has never been mentioned until now. -Damn, Roxy came in right out of nowhere.
Break.
-Nate and Steel with the wrong morphers... -I'll always give Beast Morphers credit on one thing, the transitions to Sentai footage are always pretty clean. -Why didn't Devon use his speed? -I honestly forgot these two were dating. -The Beast Bots exist! -Okay, that line delivery was funny. Ben and Betty get a point for that. -Aaaand, more unfunny slapstick. -Time for Roxy's upgrade. -I wish we could've seen more of Blaze and Roxy's rivaly throughout the show. -There is no way they couldn't realize that was Roxy. -Uh oh. They're screwed.
Break.
-Why does Nate still have his communicator if he's about to get on the plane? -Okay, seeing the rangers fight unmorphed against the monster is cool. -Oh NOW they have gun morphers. -Zord time. -The Beast-X mode morph is so cool. -That was a pretty nice finisher. -Even more zords time. -Uh oh. -Oh, he's not leaving what a surprise. -Yeah, that flight is gonna leave. -Do they know he's the Gold Ranger? -"I HOPE WE SEE SANTA" Gotta love Steel.
Pretty standard episode, nothing great, nothing awful. I enjoyed it.

A good episode today. First it was nice to finally see nate parents. And him dealing with staying with the team or go with them. There was some nice nate and Zoey scenes too. Planet roxy looked pretty sick. There was some good fights too in the episode. As for Ben and Betty they where not to bad but also was nice we didn't have them for a bit. Overall a good episode.

It was a good episode. Nice use of some Sentai footage. You could tell Nate's folks were a little uneasy with their new "son". Wish we could have seen something to make them fully accept him. In fact, Nate should have revealed to his folks that he's the Gold Ranger and that's the other reason why he should stay. Ben & Betty were completely irrelevant to the episode though. I do like how they incorporated Escape's Flower Form. Wonder where they'll get the Dino DNA for her next form.

First chance I've had to watch Beast Morphers as it airs. A few bullet-point observations: * 'Ranger nearly leaves the team' episodes have been done a lot, but this one felt like it drew specifically from seasons Chip has worked on, especially Time Force and RPM
* I know I'm missing context clues as to parts of the Rangers' new arsenal and how/why Roxy and Blaze are still serving Evox, but that's what happens when you kind of have to leap into the middle of a season and so I know I'll get those clues as I watch the 'front half' of Season 2 via Netflix
* I love when Power Rangers brings in plant monsters, so having a plant monster 'general' is fun and gives a whole new meaning to 'flower power'
* I don't get why the producers picked an actor who looks and sounds Maori to play a Hispanic character, and it was a little distracting; that aside, I do hope we see Mr. and Mrs. Silva again
* I love Nate and Zoey, and their "goodbye" was really sweet; it's also fun that they're a lot more 'chill' about their feelings for each other than their RPM dimensional counterparts Ziggy and K ever were
* Mr. and Mrs. Silva have clearly been to Grid Battleforce before, so it's strange that they don't already know Nate is a Power Ranger; he should've told them at the end of the episode, though, and it's weird that he didn't
I might be watching the season/series completely disjointedly and haphazardly, but it's been a lot of fun regardless and I really like the cast, story, and parallels/callbacks to seasons like RPM and Time Force, especially knowing about things that happen later on from where we are right now narratively.

Nathan parents find out hes a ranger Where the he did Roxy come from?? Good battle. The more Nathan talks about his parents the more im convinced hes not going Get out the friend zone Nathan!!!! Flower dna!!! I like Roxys new get up! This episode is better than last weeksššš Zoey messed up big time Why does Nathan still have a communicator?? Nice battle. The first episode after a team-up always feels so lacklustre lol
Oh, here come Nateās parents.
Let me guess, the moral will be āyour parents love you no matter where they areā when it should be about them acknowledging thatās a sh*tty thing to do to your son.
Your child was SO LONELY that he had to BUILD HIMSELF a ROBOT SIBLING. Wipe those perplexed looks off your faces. You should only be looking guilty.
okay but...are we ever gonna acknowledge Nateās really punching above his weight class in this relationship?
I absoluely love the way Roxy just RAN onto the scene. No cutesy one liner, no posturing, just BAM suddenly sheās punching Steel in the face.
I...donāt care for Roxyās new form.
Nate just said āSometimes I wondered if *you didnāt love me,* can you ever *forgive me?*ā I...I just...LOOK AT HOW YOUāVE DAMAGED THIS CHILD.
āThereās nothing to forgiveā is a good start to the huge grovelling apology youāre both about to give him, obviously.
...Iām waiting...
...any moment now...
*eyeroll*
Steel and Zoey are your real family, Nate. Leave those other two *ssholes behind.
Bad moral, boring episode.
