Ya probably nothing to do with Kara new suit. But nice to see he will be coming back. As they originally planned to get him to return last season which didn't work out.

Considering how the writers take plotlines and drop them halfway through, I don't expect Lena's evil turn to last the whole season. It'll be over either before or after Crisis on Infinite Earths. It won't stay a permanent plot point.
