As much as I want to forget that the Sequel Trilogy existed, I don't think it will be possible as long as Disney own Star Wars or Lucasfilm. Disney should sell Lucasfilm, but keep the characters that were created during the time Disney own Star Wars. When Lucasfilm is no longer under Disney, then we can talk about how to replaced the Sequel Trilogy.  |

i still doubt sequel series be cut off and retcon into legends EU stuff is. What is more then likely going to happen is Kennedy will more then likely be stepping down. And we get a new head at the company. Now when/if that happens hopefully that next person will look at what didnt work so far and what worked and make better creative decisions and shows/film hopefully dont have big production issues like we have had in last few years like the lord/millar did, trank and others.

Since it’s been rumored by multiple sources inside Lucasfilm. It is not beyond belief that the sequel trilogy will be erased. Especially with the hints in Rise of Skywalker

to me i still dont expect the movies to be wiped out. Comics is one thing but look at any movie franchise that tried to retcon in or out x movies in a series and they failed hard. I just dont see the point to doing it at this stage for the sequel films.

Again neo to my look at what has been DE cannon wise just some books and comics. No animated or live action stuff has been. And it likely not to be decannonized. So again all that is likely to happen if or when Kennedy does leave is just she is gone and we have a new person in charge. And they just go on as is. There is utterly no reason to all a sudden. Go oh this movie is not part of cannon now
If you want that then many could say less decannonized the prequels as there was many bad elements in those movies. But did that happen no. The sequel series will likely be left alone and we just dam move on and what ever future movies just try not to make mistakes that didn't work.

Look, various movie franchises have ignored and retconned entire sequels in the past and have go on to have renewed success at the box office. With Hollywood embracing the multiverse angle across television and cinematic medium (and being rewarded for it with fan praise and an oscar win in Spider-Verse's case), it would not matter a jot if the sequel trilogy became non-canon, it could still count as it's own thing and can be brought over if the gimmick is appealing
It would'nt even be the first thing to be made redundant to canon by Lucasfilm. The Holiday Special, and the 80s Ewok and Droids cartoons aren't canon either.

Sure it could work to me I just don't see the dam point to retcon the sequel trilogy out. It's not like we would get a new sequel series film as Carrie gone, ford probably wouldn't do another film. And same with hamill. Again retcon comics like eu stuff was vs movies are two different things.

It’s true live action movies are not possible given the circumstances with Ford and Carrie being gone. An animated sequel trilogy is very possible and highly doable

That could work again my point is I just don't see any of the live action films getting retcon out any time soon. As no way your ever going to have a film liked 100% by the fans or flipside dislike 100% by the fans. So really what do you gain by wiping this or that film out. As the film are still around. They still all made money and still fans liked something of xyz films. It's whole utter different case like I said when Disney took out eu comics and books. As they wanted to have clean slate of post Jedi time to do what ever they wanted. Vs having to use all the many many different stories and what not. Which I saw why they did it and it made sense too do.

Always listen to me TLJ is is hated by 90% of the audience. TRS was ignored by the majority of the audience. Plus a source for a author at Forbes said, “They we’re still filming up to November 7th.” Which begs the question if TRS even made its money back.
Disney wants to bring the old fans back into the fold. And the only way that’s possible is with a cleaning of house at Lucasfilm including Kathleen Kennedy and decanonization of the sequel trilogy. Disney knows this that is why all of this is happening

i get that but still like i pointed out your never going to get everyone to like every thing that comes out from star wars be it a comic/novel/game/cartoon/live action show or the films. Look at any of the properties in the franchise and there is loads of things folks dont like and loads of things people do like. So like i said whats the dam point to say oh sequel trilogy is now not cannon it isnt going to help any thing out in the long run really. But this will just keep going around and around like i said as everyone has there likes and there dislikes. Was i happy with the sequel films not but there was still characters and elements i did like and things i didnt like. Same with the prequels there was plently i hated in those films but still liked other parts of them. So if want to poo poo the sequel films whats stoping folks to say hey why not do it to the prequels too and that just seems to be a total mess. So again my opinion i still doubt they are going to legends the sequel series like the eu was. All that is more then likely to happen is kennedy will leave or be fired and they just move on and continue on with there immediate plans mandorlian, obi wan, the bad batch cartoon. And the movies will probably be awhile to we get another film out. So they can work on fixing there problems they have and so forth.
