That whole false article got me thinking...
What if one day it were true that Super Sentai was suddenly over... what would the future of Power Rangers look like? Would there be a future? Would Hasbro make the whole continuing series by themselves?
Thoughts?

Ya counting on when it would ever happen. Power Rangers would be good for a bunch of years post ending of sentai. As they would have series to adapt. Then would have ones not used at all. So they would be good for who knows how many years. Then once they are out of footafe. Either they be done too. Or become there own original stuff.
If Sentai ends in a few years (which is very unlikely anyways) while Power Rangers is still going on before it eventually end as well, Hasbro would catch up and end Power Rangers then....unless they adapt Bioman to Jetman after catching up (Gorenger to Dynaman would be too old to adapt) and then end Power Rangers for good.
Despite the low rangers and low toy sales in Super Sentai, Toei can have Super Sentai keep gong as long as they want to as there is so many theme ideas that has yet to be used. It'll have to end eventually as next year, we'll have the 45th sentai series and it would be the 46th year its been on air.
Many years ago, I used to guess how many more years Super Sentai would keep on going....I was thinking that maybe it could end after the 50th sentai series (anniversary series) and after 51 years on air but you never know...it could get to 55 or up to 60 but I doubt it would get to 65 and past that.

To be honest, I dont see them going back for old sentai footage if its too old. It cost a crap load of money to turn a non HD video to HD. I truly think they SHOULD step away from the sentai. I know its the cheapest route but I believe Hasbro can do so much better, I think they should also because it would be investing in themselves since they also own the toy rights. Im my selfish opinion I think they should stick with what they are doing now. But from a business stand point. Im goin anime. Keep in mind Hasbro bought PR for a lot of money. They want their money back and will change the game to get it!
Uhmm...Power Rangers is still going to exist, even if Super Sentai does end. We're still gonna have multiple movie adaptations, video games and comic book spin-off series of other past seasons in the near-future.
Hasbro could still have Toei film exclusive footage just for Power Rangers like Saban did. Or just hire some Japanese stunt doubles to re-create fight and mecha scenes from other Sentai by themselves. Super Megaforce, as lazy and as bad as it was - did feature Dairanger, Maskman, Flashman, Changeman and Fiveman. They don't need to mess with old footage, they can just re-create the props and costumes and film original footage like they did with Beast Morpehrs. They don't even need to re-create the sets, since the sets of all those Sentai seasons (except maybe for Dairanger) are long since outdated.
Anyway, I'm only brainstorming here, I actually don't care what Hasbro does with Power Rangers when Super Sentai ends. It's their franchise now, and if they want to do an older Sentai and if they think it's a good busness move for them, they will. The'll find a way to adpot a Sentai older than the Sentai Rangers that we got in Super Megaforce and still make a lot of money by doing it.

Hasbro re-created the GoBusters' suits for Beast Morphers. So re-creating suits is no problem for them. The only question here is will Hasbro be even willing to do it even if it's financially viable to keep up the franchise going (the TV series primarily) if it means continuing without the Sentai footage after Toei decides to pull the plug on it while only relying on new & original footage using re-created suits (and props) in order to produce a season.

well it likely be all about money. If they see the value and dont think it would break bank to make an all original footage, ie sfx, mecha suits and all that. They could do it. And compared to the past things are easier to pull off then it was years ago. So the question is how much does a typical episode/season cost toei to make in us dollar. Then hasbro compares it to what they put into for us stuff and go from there. So ya at first we likely be fine for a good number of years more so if they stay the 2 seasons to one sentai season format. They would still be fine for X number of years. Before they would have to worry about then going to all original.
We're 5 Sentai seasons behind. That means we're good for the next 10 years.
Last year's Sentai season wasv the 43rd. Which means next year's Sentai (2021) will be the 45th. So if Sentai goes all the way to 50th anniversary, that means Power Rangers is covered for 14 seasons. If Toei does the 55th Sentai, that's 10 more seasons of Power Rangers TO THAT, which brings us to 24 seasons in total. Of course, if the 20 episode per season thing remains and a single Sentai season is adapred for 2 years.
Basically, it all depends on Toei on how long they can keep up their franchise. For now, the math stands as it is: 5 Sentai seasons and not a single season skipped = 10 seasons of Power Rangers. So 10 Sentai seasons in a deecade = 20 seasons of Power Rangers.
Well, times change, people change, the way of thinking and doing certain thing changes - mostly because of new technologies being available that were not in 1975 and onwards. How people interact with one another also comes into play here. There's a also the question on how a show does on the market - if it doesn't do well in merchandise sales, the network shuts it down. So all shows must be done according to the market's requirements, which is contolled by what the majority of the audience wants. If the audience wants the show to kepp going, they are going to support it in its current form and shape.
Not that I (and probably most of us) agree with you, but that's just how it is. Not everyone can be pleased with everything. Super Sentai and Power Rangers are not exceptions to that.
