The beginning of the end.
-Direct continuation of last week? Awesome. -Real Roxy's dying? Not awesome. -Looks like this is gonna lead to some tension between Ravi and his mom. -I would vote Steel for Mayor. -Ben and Betty... are being useful? Wow, that's great. -The look of disappointment on Mayor Daniel's face was convincing. -"What's the magic word?" "Now!" I will never get tired of Blaze and Roxy's interaction with Scrozzle. -Using Roxy as a distraction? That's cold. But genius. -Go Ravi! -It still bugs me that Blaze and Roxy don't have any kind of morph call. -Cue theme music.
Break.
-The choreography in this Ravi vs Roxy fight is awesome. -Zord time already. -I guess this means they aren't using the Karate monster from Go-Busters. -DAMN! He just crushed her morpher so she can't Escape! (Pun intended) -The megazord battle is done before the halfway point? Wow. -DAMN, he's opening fire on her while she's unmorphed? -...That death was BRUTAL for this show. And it was awesome. -Wow, it took Blaze a while to get there. -And Blaze doesn't even care that Roxy is gone. Wow. -Ben and Betty useful? Twice in one episode? Impressive! -This exchange between Devon and his dad is honestly interesting. Devon comes home beaten and bruised from his fight without his dad knowing why? Nice touch.
Break.
-Unmorphed fight! -Why the hell would you trust Ben and Betty with something that important? -OKAY! The Mayor's a badass! And with a shovel! Dino Charge style. -Even Ben and Betty get to fight in their own way? Nice. -The Sentai footage transitions in this episode have been incredibly smooth. -And Blaze is actually being more competent this time around. -The plan is coming together. -...They didn't shut the back door? Damn it, Ben and Betty. You were doing so good this week! -Right on time, Devon. -The cheetah claws! -Man, the choreography in this episode is so good. -Secret exposed! -They got the tower. -And his dad rushes to save him but is too late... -That scene was so intense. -Roxy's awake! And she remembers the plan! -Evox finally has a body! -What a cliffhanger!
That episode was amazing. Easily one of the best in years.

Totally agree a very good and solid episode. The plot was drama and there was some serious outcomes here. And he'll even Ben and Betty stuff worked well in the episode. It was great to see evox plan finally come out. And for Devon dad to learn he is a ranger. Some great scenes there. It was a great fight with blue ranger and roxy. I am glad her real body is OK in the ebd. And woah the ending there. Def can't wait to see how finale and Xmas episode play out.

So yeah! Ravi finally got his sweetheart back. But was it relly worth disobeying orders and letting the villains get their hands on the teleporters?! Lesson learn, kiddies. Don't ever let your guard down or let anything else distract you from completing your mission. Not even for some fresh piece of booty.
But, on a much higher note. Mayor Daniels just discovered that his son is a Power Rangers, yet alone...the red ranger.

Start to finish, this was a great episode. For the first time, I got a genuine laugh from Ben and Betty's antics. Their slapstick nonsense actually helped move the plot forward. That said, they really should have done more to secure the transporter. I mean, they pretty much just dumped it in the back of the truck, then headed out without doing anything to tie it down. It's a pretty big piece of tech.
I enjoyed the callbacks to Dino Charge - first Betty and the banana, then Mayor Daniels and his shovel. I had a feeling Mayor Daniels would find out his son's identity, but I'm still at a loss as to why it's necessary for the Rangers to keep their identities secret. Especially seeing as how Nate, Ravi, Zoey, and Devon are always hanging out with a robot. It wouldn't take a genius for someone to put two and two together that the teens are involved with Grid BattleForce.
I wasn't expecting the Ravi vs. Roxy fight. The stakes were high and there was a lot of emotion involved. I think Commander Shaw must have had some idea about her son's feelings for Roxy, but I'm surprised she wasn't harder on Ravi for disobeying orders and going after Roxy. That was a major, though understandable, misstep on Ravi's part that directly contributed to Evox's victory. Roxy's avatar knew exactly how to play him. I wonder what her motive was in sabotaging the life support pod.
Blaze's "NOW!" as the magic word was gold. One of his finer moments. I've enjoyed Blaze and Roxy as villains this season. I also have to give props to hair and makeup - those bruises around Roxy's eyes went really far in portraying how much danger she was in.
Bring on the finale … and Steel, you've got my vote.

This was a good episode, I wouldn’t call it amazing though.
The cons: -The Mayor being upset with his child for running away from killer robots. Please. And then when they get attacked again he tells him to go home immediately. Which is it? What do you want??? -Commander Shaw was just sitting on a chair staring into space while the rangers were fighting. “What do you mean Ravi’s overheating??? Isn’t he driving???” Uh, Sis, YOU should know that. 0/2 for the parents today. -The transporters just sitting in a van in the middle of the city was dumb. Evox’s crew really aren’t the brightest bulbs in the box. And do they learn their lesson? No, because Ben and Betty - the two most useless humans in recorded history - manage to stumble upon them AGAIN.
The Pros: -Great fight scenes in this episode. Devon vs Blaze and Ravi vs Roxy were both great. Mad respect for Ravi having to literally kill his girlfriend to save her. -Having Roxy die in human form is a real rarity for this series. -Shovel combat emulates Dino Charge. -This was a good cliffhanger. A good sense of urgency leading to them having to storm the villain base. Again kind of Dino Charge-y, but that’s not a bad thing. -Roxy waking up and remembering fake Roxy’s actions was a nice touch. Can they like...make a new morpher for her now?

I think there was a difference between the two events where Devon ran off.
Once, it was a crowded area with a bunch of people, where Devon didn't even TRY to help anyone get to safety. I think it was less about putting himself in danger and more not even an attempting to do some good. (At least as far as his dad knows) Remember, as far as the Mayor knows, Devon is just a slacker who won't even keep a job. Even in this episode, he explains how Devon is coming home all hours of the night, looking like he's been in fights.
The second time, the monsters were going straight at them, and there was hardly anyone else there, everyone scattered as soon as they saw them. So there wasn't much reason for him to stick around, so he told him to leave this time.
At least, that's how I took it.

Eh, to me anything other than “I want my child to leave this dangerous situation immediately,” in any circumstance is poor parenting. Unless like, your child is a police officer.

I havent had time to give my full analysis on every episode but I will say. This one was a good one. And it left us on a cliff hanger. Father knows Devon is a ranger. With spoilers and all I knew this was gonna happen but they did not disappoint! Great episode. 4+

-...They didn't shut the back door? Damn it, Ben and Betty. You were doing so good this week! Yes, damn indeed. I was also disappointed with this scene. After they somehow managed to beat some Tronics, it's all in vain...
