Towards the finale we go!
-Everybody has a pet, except Steel. Poor guy. -Steel is getting a pet? Weird, but it's Steel. I know it's gonna be good. -This feels like a sitcom plot, but I'll see where it goes. -Vargoyle's plan from last episode finally begins. -So... Blaze and Roxy became rangers in everyone's minds? Points for creativity, Vargoyle. -Awkward. -Spot the Plant. -I like how Devon doesn't want to talk to a random robot telling him he's a Power Ranger. I'd probably stick around and at least hear him out. -I still don't know how Steel being half human works, but it's Power Rangers. -Ben and Betty are on security... somehow. -And now they're getting their asses kicked by nothing by a hand without a body. Guards of the year! -Vargoyle vs Steel showdown?
Break.
-Way to tell them right where it is, Vargoyle. -I love that Devon is willing to charge into battle for a robot he just met. -And he protects his plant. -SPOT! -Good move, Devon! -Just when we thought Spot was safe. -Again, great security from Ben and Betty. -Poor Steel. -Wait, Blaze and Roxy's real bodies are just.. out there? What if somebody walks in and sees them? What are they gonna think now? -Ben and Betty... I just... why? -Steel compliments himself in even the roughest of situations. -Steel is going for it. -Red Ranger vs Vargoyle showdown.
Break.
-Let's go, Devon! -Blaze and Roxy betraying Vargoyle was such an obvious twist, but it was still great. -Did they come up with this Beast Powers plot just to they could use this sentai footage? If so, that's awesome. -Speaking of awesome, this fight! -Steel! -Okay, I think this is too quick to be getting rid of Vargoyle, but dude, he went out in such an awesome fight. -They actually have a solid reason for not having Gold and Silver in the fight this time. Great! -Zord time. -And that was a really quick zord battle. -Steel is fine, but the same can't be said for Spot. -Steel gets his pet! -Wow... they remembered Devon's weakness. And it only took them like 17 episodes. -I can see where this is going. -Steel is a hero AND a nice guy. -Oh look, Ben and Betty survived. -FINALE BUILD UP!

A good episode today. A city wide mind wipe was a good plot from the villain. To make the city forget evil and blaze and roxy. It was fun seeing steel save the day with him not being affected. The ben and betty scene with steel and then the teleporter was funny. His fights with vargole was pretty good too. Devon fight with vargole was wicked too. Sad to see he got destroyed at the end. Also curious to see what roxy did to her real body.

'Rewriting History is a fine episode. The new general has a plan that might work, if Steel was affected by the plan as well. It was a Steel focused epiosde, even if he didn't become the Silver Ranger in this episode. His plan was ruined by the Red Ranger and he was destroyed. Blaze and Roxy did good for once. I can't wait to see what happen next.

I love the reference to the tag line from Alien with Ben & Betty in space.

Okay, this one was pretty good. The first episode that matches the quality of episode 1, in my opinion. It’s just a shame we had 16 episodes of drek in between.
Anyways, I like Steel focus episodes, he’s far and away the best ranger and I enjoyed watching him have to take the lead as everyone else was compromised. He has the perfect mix of arrogance, charm and buffoonery. That’s the type of comedy character this show needs, not a useless slapstick duo that always get covered in slime. That said Ben & Betty’s antics this episode didn’t bug me much either.
However I do think they missed a huge story opportunity with the Blaze and Roxy plot. Seeing how they interacted with Grid Battlefirce could have been so good. Ravi acting all love-y toward Roxy that she’d have to fake reciprocate (Liana would have done great). Everyone looking to Blaze for leadership when he really dgaf. Wasted potential, imo.
Avatar Roxy messing with Physical Roxy is actually really interesting, I’m looking forward to seeing where that goes.
A full screen morph! The ground fight being completed before the zord battle starts! THEY FORMED THE MEGAZORD! Finally, this felt like a real episode of Power Rangers.
I didn’t really ‘get’ Vargoyle. He didn’t feel like a real general at any point, just like a MOTW who stuck around a little longer than most. A ‘Monster of Three Weeks’ if you will.

I do get what people say when they say Ravi could've been acting all love-y with Roxy, but when you think about it, Ravi broke up with Roxy in episode 1 because of the GB rules about rangers dating. He only realized how much he missed her when she was "gone". If she was never corrupted by Evox, he probably still would've kept things broken off.
Completely agree about Steel being enough comedy for the show, though. Having a character that's actually funny makes having the forced comedic duo feel even worse.

I agree with comedy character I rather have some one like steel or any of the goofy character cruise vo guy with all the goofy guys he played. Then the really hammy, slapstick guys they want to drop on us like Ben and betty, Victor and monty, etc.....

-So... Blaze and Roxy became rangers in everyone's minds? Points for creativity, Vargoyle. I like that even thought Vargoyle blatantly steals Blaze and Roxy's chance of getting stronger, his strategy involves making them look like heroes in everyone's eyes. Of course it's a pragmatic move, but still...
