I have heard from a Q&A panel of Power Morphicon, this year during the Mystic Force through Jungle Fury panel session that former Power Rangers writer, Jackie Merchand admitted that when she and the writers of the Disney-era seasons of Power Rangers. They were more focused on giving us fans more original concepts for the shows than they were on planning anymore yearly team-up episodes between the main casts of SPD and Mystic Force, the main casts of Jungle Fury and Operation Overdrive and the main casts of RPM and Jungle Fury. So, there weren't really enough time to squeeze in anymore team-up episodes at the time. But, Ms. Merchand did mentioned that it was regrettable that we never did get to see any real crossovers between the main casts of SPD and Mystic Force, Jungle Fury and Operation Overdrive and RPM and Jungle Fury.
Well, I guess it's understandable that we just can't always get such nice things. So, it looks like we're stuck watching the sentai versions of Power Rangers crossover events and team-up ideas that never happened outside of Japan, sadly.
But what do you think?
Should we have gotten any real team-up episodes between the main casts of SPD and Mystic Force, Jungle Fury and Operation Overdrive, and RPM and Jungle Fury? Or not?

I would have liked to have teamups. I liked when we got them. And sucked half the Disney series didn't crossover. That is something I hope hasbro will bring back.

I dont think a team up wouldve made Mystic Force any better. I dont see how it couldve happened and made sense with SPD (unless it was Time Force). It wouldve been dope with Jungle Fury. Operation Overdrive could been good if it was more than one episode and RPM didnt need it. It would been damaging if anything.

I think that there are some interesting ideas into adapting Magiranger vs. Dekaranger into an actual crossover episode between the main casts of SPD and Mystic Force. But, you know how Disney don't like advertising for old toys that are no longer on shelves anymore. Operation Overdrive's character are kind of a mixed bag, but it would be interesting to have them be wriiten more competently as ally characters outside of their own show. I mean, it worked for Haruto Souma/Kamen Rider Wizard in Heisei Generations feat. Dr. Pac-Man and for Takeru Tenkuujii/Kamen Rider Ghost in Heisei Generations FINAL. And it definitely worked well for Antonio and Gia's characters in "Dimensions in Danger", but hopefully if we're ever that lucky, we might actually get an extended cut of that episode. Now, for RPM doing a crossover with the characters of Jungle Fury...yeah, it's best if these two rangers teams were to meet in a bigger-budgeted movie, but with a PG-13 rating since RPM is set in a post-apocalyptic parallel universe outside of the main Power Rangers universe.

Mystic Force / Space Patrol Delta is definitely a missed opportunity since they could've used the footage of the Magiranger "Birds of Infershia" movie to properly introduce an ally in a creative way - by mixing it with original footage they could have made Catastros become Brightstar. Also, Koragg vs. Shadow Ranger.
Operation Overdrive / Mystic Force - since "Once a Ranger" was basically the highlight of that season, the crossover wouldn't make any sense and would be out of place. Disney made the right call inviting Richard Brancatisano back for the Veteran Ranger crossover since Mystic Force basically ended with Nick/Maddison NOT-STARTED love story and Leinbow & Udonna going to meet Nick's adoptive parents.
Jungle Fury / Operation Overdrive - Jungle Fury is/was fine as it is/was. I wouldn't mind some Veterans making just a small cameo appearance in a couple of episodes, just for continuity sake. It wouldn't hurt the season. But as crossover - it would not have worked at all in my opinion.
R.P.M./Jungle Fury - That's a HUGE "NO". R.P.M. used very little Sentai footage and was directed in an entirely different way. It was shot like a documentary series. Plus it had a dark plot and Jungle Fury's tone and style would not blend well with the R.P.M. season. And it takes place in another universe, where all previous Rangers are either deceased, MIA or turned into Venjix's hybrids.

Also, Koragg vs. Shadow Ranger. Actually, I think you should have mentioned that they could have combined stock footage of Magiranger vs, Dekaranger with only the final battle of Magiranger the movie. Operation Overdrive / Mystic Force - since "Once a Ranger" was basically the highlight of that season, the crossover wouldn't make any sense and would be out of place. Disney made the right call inviting Richard Brancatisano back for the Veteran Ranger crossover since Mystic Force basically ended with Nick/Maddison NOT-STARTED love story and Leanbow & Udonna going to meet Nick's adoptive parents. So, basically. No real crossover between the main casts of Mystic Force and Operation Overdrive. Just the anniversary crossover episode and that's it. Actually, I think it would work, if the characters of Operation Overdrive were written more competently outside of their own show. Much like how Haruto Souma/Kamen Rider Wizard and Takeru Tenkuujii/Kamen Rider Ghost were in the Heisei Generations movies. But, maybe it woukd be wise to just immediately retcon the events of Operation Overdrive out of existence and rewrite the characters as like alternate versions of themselves, or say that the alternate versions of the Overdrive Rangers aee from a parallel universe. Not unless you were use sentai footage of Go-Onger vs. Gekiranger and mix it in with original footage to match the tone of RPM's universe and give the crossover a TV-14 rating which is basically an equivalent to a PG-13 rating.
