I'm kinda new to this but I want to know... how likely are we to get a female main Rider in the future say, between now and in 25 years time?

I know the rumor for Zi-O could easily be false but that got me thinking about this subject. So people, I need your opinions on this. Could we see a future where Toei does announce a female as the main rider of a future season of Kamen Rider?

I think it could be done. Maybe not for a while, but it's possible: LupinYellow has sold a lot of merchandise because she's played by a popular idol, so it makes sense that Kamen Rider could do the same if they could cast the right person. It would also be a marketable gimmick as a first for the show: like W being the first to have two people transform into a single Rider, Drive being the first to have a car instead of a bike, etc.
I don't think the "but it's a boys' show!" precludes a female lead. If necessary, they could do something similar to Kabuto or Hibiki where the main Rider is not the protagonist

Maybe not as a solo protagonist but a Double Riders dynamic instead. Like Go-On Wings. Alternatively, an Akibaranger esque unofficial rider or spin-off rider could be a girl. I remember a rumor for an Amazons sequel based on Stronger where the protagonists would be Kamen Rider Stronger and Kamen Rider Tackle. In the original Stronger, Tackle was a sidekick. I think a Double Riders show with male and female leads could work.

How likely are we to have a main female lead as a Kamen Rider protagonist? Uh.....Zero!!!
Unless, if Toei decides to stop killing off female Kamen Riders, it'll never happen.

Toei HAS mostly stopped killing off female Kamen Riders. The only two we've had that have died permanently in recent years are Marika and Idunn - both villains (thus more likely to die), and in a series where half the Riders were killed off. Meanwhile Kivaara, Nadeshiko, Mage, Poppy, Ride Player Nico are all still alive (OK, Poppy died temporarily, but so did Parado; and she was promptly revived)
And, yeah, given that LupinYellow has outsold most if not all the male characters in Lupinranger Vs Patranger, it is not necessarily true that a female lead would be the kiss of death. Especially if, as in Lupinranger Vs Patranger she's played by someone highly marketable

Especially if, as in Lupinranger Vs Patranger she's played by someone highly marketable Yeah, I don't think TOEI can ever be trusted into introducing a female main Kamen Rider protagonist. My other issue is that if they are going to introduce a main female rider protagonist, then the company and the show-runners and writers and producers will reduce her character into being nothing more but a freaking plot-device and with little-to-no character development in the future. I mean, look at the more recent Kamen Rider shows like Ex-Aid or at least to a degree, Drive. There are some real development in most of the characters from those shows. But, I am not so sure abou Build since I haven't seen it yet. But, I have been hearing good things about it. It's just that I would rather watch the show when it's a fully-completed TV series than just wait for one freaking episode to come out each week. I don't have that kind of patience or attention span to just wait for new episodes to come out each week. I just want everything to be given to me in a complete package. That's why I am not gonna bother to wait for new episodes of Super Ninja Steel to come out this year. But, I am a bit off-topic here. So, anyways. Back to the main topic. Even if the company has officially stopped killing off most female Kamen Riders in the Neo-Heisei era and with Lupin Yellow over-shadowing her two main male comrades byt having arguably one of the best female sentai character-arcs next to Houou Ranger, Ninja White and Time Pink, I still don't think that this is the right time for TOEI to actually introduce its' audience a main female lead as an official primary Kamen Rider protagonist given the fact that this company has a really bad history of giving female character a rider belt and of course, the obviously blatant sexist controversy towards why Tackle wasn't made into an official Kamen Rider, yet. Even after her character understood the pain of being a true Kamen Rider. It still needs more time to figure out if it is a good idea to introduce a female Kamen Rider as the main protagonist in her own show. For now, this is not the right time. Give it about at least five to ten years. THEN, maybe TOEI could actually be trusted enough to tell an actual story about a female Kamen Rider that isn't a plot-device or a main mcguffin character or literally a big last minute deus-edeus-ex-machina or some kind of bullsh*t the writers had to pull out of their asses without pandering to the audience with this whole SJW/forced feminism bullsh*t that you've seen in almost every other show or movie, nowadays.

^ Your arguments assume that a female lead Rider would be treated the same as a female supporting character. That's not the case. The lead Rider is the main element that sells toys - so she wouldn't be sidelined, and she'd have to be written to be cool/interesting enough to appeal to kids. The fact of having a female lead Rider at all would mean Toei and Bandai were confident she could sell.
LupinYellow has sold well because she's played by a popular, marketable idol - not because of good writing (although certainly, the writing and Kudo's acting skills make the character enjoyable and can keep viewers invested in the show.) And no, having a lead that's not an able-bodied white guy isn't "SJW/forced feminism."

I doubt it. Gates coming from the female lead's time doesn't mean they are the same person

The only way we could have a female main Rider as a MC, probably could happen in a short series/miniseries, like KR Amazons. More mature, few episodes, not so many modes or not a "gimmicky" series. Also, probably direct to a stream network, like Amazon Prime (like Amazons) or Netflix. Think about it. KR is a to boys/male targetted series. Of course older people watch Kamen Rider (and Super Sentai, Power Rangers and other Tokus series). But adults have less problem with a female MC. Amazons was aimed to mature fans. If the series aim to a niche of the fans who don't have problems like that, like think in magical girls shows, like PreCure, but think there are magical girls shows (dark) for older (and mostly male) fans, like Madoka Magica franchise, the Mahō Shōjo Lyrical Nanoha one, Strike Witches, etc. Sure, anime is different. But put some sexy idols in it, and voilá, A female Rider as a MC.
