Was never how I pictured a more mature approach to Power Rangers to be. The suits were terrible, the lines bad, the acting meh, the blood splattering everywhere for most of it? Not needed.

I don't know why so many people are still fixated to this horrid fan film. It was bad, inmature and pretty awful in the treatment of their main characters. Why should take a bad fan film where Jason is killed unceremoniously, like treating him as a nobody, for the only purpose of shocking the audience seriously? Poor Trini has less than that. She had only a funeral. She didn't appear really. Billy? Of course, he's gay. Then, he's dead. Kim? She's just a twist in the plot. Zack. Oh, Zack. A combination of a joke and a bad power male fantasy. Cocaine, Black ops missions (where he can kill bad guys pretty brutally), and threesome with pornstars (yeah, Divatox and Scorpina are played by pornstars here. They are not even characters. Just sexual fantasies.). Oh, and Rocky. Just in name. He seems like an a#$hole. Because we need an friend turned villian here. But even I'm not big fan of Rocky, and he shouldn't be treated like this... The only "hero" (if we can call it like that) is Tommy. Except he disappear abandoning his friends. Very heroic. Very Power Rangers. PR could be silly, but is about a group of people fighting together against a common goal, a common evil. The fan film (if we can call it that, because a fan wouldn't do that) is nothing about fighting together. Or friendship. Or helping people. Is nihilistic, the same level of Batman v. Superman. Is asking what one of your favourite superheroe could kill other of your favourite superheroes. IMHO, it's better to talk about the recent movie. It's better acted, they tried to make a film about superheroes fighting against evil, and the characters are good. It's a little gritty, but not nihilistic. It's not without flaws, and probably lacks more action, but I appreciated the effort. That's deep, man!
