Odd how there is no discussion thread for any of the Mighty Morphin threads.
Anyways halfway through my season 1 rewatch and so far
*Next time I rewatch this season (in 2-5 years) I'm going to make a drinking game out of how many times they reuse certain scenes of the Moon crew namely
Goldar gesturing with his sword in American footage like a retarded Muppet
Rita making a clawing motion with her hand
That damn close up shot of Squatt that's just the scene of a butterfly about to come out of his mouth in Zyuranger
Rita berating her goons and then talking to the camera from the balcony and making an "I'm gonna lose my mind" motion with her hand
Goldar bonking Finster with his sword
Rita listening close to Finster and then yelling at him with a raised fist
*The American Ranger suits not matching the Japanese ones is amusing to me. The gloves are too big on them and those damn neck braced
*Gotta love how they used whatever Sentai footage they could regardless if it made sense or not. Especially in the early episodes. Why does Jason need to use Dino crystals to summon his friends to him when they can all teleport? Because usable Sentai footage. Why is Baboo making eggs with weird colored ball things? Because there's Sentai footage of him doing that.
*The Alpha 5 costume was so cheap you could see it coming apart in "Life's a Masquerade" and even at one point see the suit actors neck poking out
*Its a good thing the writing got better because the Saved by the Bell stuff is pretty insufferable.

The weird production values are part of it’s charm to me these days. ☺️
Random aside but I know everyone talks about how the episode with Mr. Ticklesneezer is an example of sh*t editing because there’s that random giant baby moment, but considering it ends up all being Trini’s dream I like to think every single frame is canon, cuz dreams are weird AF 😂
Random Aside 2: My most recent rewatch (last year) was the first time I actually noticed that Finster has leaves coming off his face. I then noticed most official merchandise and content (like Soul of the Dragon) tends to design him without them 🤷♂️
