Which explains why most of the anniversary specials are mediocre at best (Legendary Battle, Dimensions in Danger) awful pieces of shit at worst (Once a Ranger, The Beast Morphers... thing)

But yes, we were supposed to have a final battle between Serpentara and 10 previous megazords from 1993-2002. But Disney had already blown the budget on the production of Reinforcements From The Future and Forever Red, respectively. So, Bandai U.S. had decided to bail out Disney on the production's budget in exchange for promoting the brand new toy for the Wild Force storyline, the Wild Force. Hence why we had that lame ending in Forever Red where Lord Zedd's most powerful machine that blew up an entire planet with one energy blast is now fueled by a nuclear reactor courtesy of the Machine Empire. Just suddenly got its' ass whooped by a freaking measly fancy new super bike. I can understand toy promotion and all, but I have seen better and worse executions of how to promote new toys in Tokusatsu movies and TV shows. Hell, Kamen Rider Fourze did a better job at promoting new toys in his own movies. Same for Kamen Rider Build and Lupinranger VS Patoranger. |

You'll get the hang of it someday bud. I realize I'm wasting my time with you. But here let me help you. Example. "Oh no Rangers, Lord Zedd is far too powerful for your dinozords. You'll need new more powerful Thunderzords" Shameless promotion for new toys to be sold? Absolutely. Does it make sense within the context of the narrative? Also yes. Lord Zedd is too powerful. Rangers need stronger zords. And then we have the ending of Forever Red where Serpentera which is established to be uber powerful and dwarves the size of any zord..is destroyed by a flying motorbike. Again, I'm wasting my time with you but maybe a miracle will happen and you'll get it! |
