How did those borg implants that were in fact suppose to make Astronema 100 precent loyal to dark specter somehow do the opposite? she appeared more loyal pre dark specter revenge then afterwards.

I don't know. I think it's because since Astronema deflected from the forces of evil and was captured by Ecliptor with his new implants, Dark Specter to make her pay by robbing her of her own independence and making her a Borg just so she won't betray him again?! Yeah, that was kind of a boneheaded move because later on in the season, it's revealed that Astronema was actually planning to double-cross him so that she would rule the entire galaxy and the Psycho Rangers were the key to being Dark Specter's downfall since he created them and they share his energy. So yeah, what I am trying to say is Dark Specter is an idiot!! That's why he is the sub-villain of the show.

i never understood why or how them fighting would drain Dark Specter’s energy. Because, he gave them bits of his energy when created their ranger suits?! I mean, it made more sense in Denji Sentai Megaranger when Javius the Great created the Nejirangers. But in Space, it's just five random monsters who were given more power and abilities to become Power Rangers themselves and Dark Specter just gave them a fragment of his energy. Seriously, this ain't freaking rocket science it's just dark magic. You don't have to explain how magic work in an action show for kids. I don't see Sailor Moon explaining how magic works in its' show. I don't see animated show explaining how magic works. Do you?!

I believe Astronema's master plan to get rid of Dark Specter was to make the Psycho Rangers more powerful than the Rangers so DS wouldn't suspect a double-cross. Their personalities matched with what he needed them to do, however, her plan was to make the Psychos fight the Rangers for as long as they could, but pull them out of the battle so DS's life energy would eventually run out on him. But the Rangers eventually found a way to defeat the Psychos completely, so her plan failed in the end.
Or... maybe the mind control with robotic implants on her body weren't 100 % compatible with human body so it's entirely possible that Karone somehow managed to override the implants' programming so the mind-controled Astronema would believe that she came up with the plan of getting rid of Dark Specter by making the Psychos fight the Space Rangers to the end - but not entirely defeat them. I mean it did take a couple of tears from Andros to revive her as Karone.

Or it could have been the effects of the z-wave that reverted Astronema back to Karone give or take. But, what do I know about KO-35 anatomy?!

It’s because Astronema’s loose equivalent in Megaranger did the same thing to Dark Spectre’s loose equivalent except he succeeded
The Psycho Ranger arc was a pretty close adaptation of the Nejiranger arc in Megarangers and some things really didn’t make sense in the context of Power Rangers. That was one of them.
The subplot is dropped after that arc
