For decades, the Power Rangers have been a symbol for all that is good, defending the universe from those who wish to do it harm or rule it themselves. This time, the Rangers will embark on their most dangerous mission ever and their opponents are...Power Rangers.
The Power Rangers are not one singular team. Over the years, teams have assembled from many different places whether it is the oceans of Aquitar, the mirror world of Ventara and even teams that are home grown on Earth. This game tells the story of the inhabitants of Eltar believing that the Power Rangers have abused the gift of the Morphing Grid, using it to manufacture Ranger powers and breaking Zordon's Rules of the Power. This time, the Eltarians have no desire to do any harm to Planet Earth. Their target is the biggest breaker of Zordon's Rules, Commander Jackson Storm. To achieve this goal, the Eltarians will do whatever it takes to apprehend their target and restore order to the morphing grid, even if that means killing any Ranger that tries to protect him.
With the Eltarians in town, Rangers across time, space, and multiverse will be forced to choose sides and lose the protection of the power and their lives in the process. The only team that has taken a definite stand against the Eltarians and serve as the only true buffer between them and their goal are the Power Rangers: Dynasty Drive! The Rangers will face a challenge unlike any team before them as they not only have to contend with their direct adversary but they will be facing fellow Rangers from their world and from alternate earths, providing a nonstop onslaught for the new Ranger team. With the nonstop carnage to follow, it begs the question, how much is one man's life worth?
For this game, I wanted to do something a little different as the idea's been in my head for years and now I can bring it to life since I have some open space. This game is in honor of all of the people who have RP'd on this site over the years and as such, I wish to provide as many people as possible the opportunity to join in on the fun. Below is a breakdown in the notable changes for this game.
- Yes, every Ranger OC is eligible for this game. The only ones who will go through the normal casting process are the core team Rangers. This is being done to not only give everyone a chance to play, but to reduce the downtime we get from games where we're waiting on a single person to post. With more people come more options.
- To be clear, it does not matter if your OC is from another timeline or not. The OC Rangers will NOT be limited to my shared universe of teams. The only Rangers that I require to be from this universe are the core team members.
Below is an episode breakdown for this season.
1. It Ends and Begins - The Eltarian Forces invade Earth in search of Commander Storm, citing the improper use of the Ranger power. While they appear to come in peace, not everyone is quite as eager to send a man to his death that has contributed to this planet's safety.
2. Emergency Rations - The new duo travels to the original Command Center in Angel Grove in search for help and find a special message that leads them to a new source of Ranger power.
3. For the Right Reasons - The new duo tracks down one of Storm's former Rangers in Joey Brooks for help but much to their surprise, he doesn't want to join the fight against the Eltarians.
4. In His Honor - The Eltarians enlist the help of legendary Ranger Tommy Oliver to track down the Rangers and the Rangers gain valuable information pertaining to the Eltarians' true intentions.
5. Kiss from a Rose - The Eltarians attempt to enlist the Alien Rangers for their assistance but they accidentally pull the immortal guardian Paulus Logan from an alternate dimension and the only way that he can return home is to defeat the Rangers and bring Storm to justice. Meanwhile, just as the team is starting to gel, Jennifer tries to visit her brother that she hasn't seen since she became a Ranger but gets caught by someone working with Zeo and Xavier.
6. Seeing Red - Now that the Eltarians have improved upon pulling Rangers from different dimensions, they attempt to pull the RPM team from an alternate timeline. Unfortunately, they only had the power to pull one Ranger who had no desire to fight but is determined to bring the Rangers down when hearing that his beautiful Red was in peril. During the battle, Nolan is severely hurt to the point where he questions his will to be a Ranger moving forward and enlists the help of another displaced Ranger to put him back on the path of the power.
7. Proposition - The Eltarians recruit two Rangers from alternate timelines to don the newly discovered Ranger powers to subdue the current Ranger trio and bring in Commander Storm.
8. Motivation - The Eltarian forces are beginning to fracture as some are questioning their mission meanwhile a villain thought to be dead returns to cause chaos. In the midst of the chaos, the Silver Ranger struggles with two sets of memories after claiming their new memories. In an effort to find balance, the Silver Ranger seeks their former mentor for help.
9. The Hyperdrive Chase - A legendary thief re-emerges and steals an ancient weapon that Zordon hid on Aquitar long ago to serve as another contingency should the planet fall under siege and the Eltarians will stop at nothing to obtain this power while the Gold Ranger starts to contemplate a life where he doesn't go back to his own time after seeing what life could be like if he stayed in this time.
10. Limited Time Offer - After more bodies fall, Julian Michaels, the Ninja Storm Red Ranger seeks vengeance on the Ranger team after he blames them for the body count rising to unacceptable levels. The Rangers are offered a deal by the Eltarians where they join forces and give up Storm along with the Dynasty Drive powers and walk away from this war.
11. Desperate Transmission - The Rangers are eager to end this war and go on a mission to infiltrate the Eltarian hideout and use the Dimensional Device for some much needed help. In the process, the Rangers discover the shocking truth about the Eltarian leader.
12. Conflict Resolution - The Rangers use new intel in an effort to negotiate peace, but those with cruel intentions have other ideas. Zeo realizes that in order to ensure that this conflict never happens, he'll have to go back to when this all started to save all of humanity.
13. Blaze of Glory - The Eltarians unleash their ultimate weapon to combat the Rangers and the final battle for the fate of the multiverse commences.
