Yeah! Plus, a lot of people associate the Black Panther mantle with T'Challa. Not his sister!

Okay but Ed Norton and Terence Howard didn’t die. A person choosing not to come back due to disagreements or whatever is wildly different than the beloved star attached to the role *dying*.
Again, let’s look at The Dark Knight. Katie Holmes didn’t wanna come back = recast. Heath Ledger died = character retired.

Yeah! Plus, a lot of people associate the Black Panther mantle with T'Challa. Not his sister! A lot of people associate the mantle of Ant-Man with Hank Pym, not Scott Lang, but that worked out just fine.

ya like i said there is alot of factors in play and with bp being a big factor in future plans we are more then likely going to have a recast. Now sure this be first time for someone who had died vs recasting due to money/schedule issues like others where. But even if they do recast. Doesnt mean like i said they couldnt also be pushing shuri up too. To expand her role and then spin her off to champions/young avengers stuff. As we do know marvel does want more woman and diversity roles in the next phase of films and all that. But that doesnt mean they would take out bp and all that. Hopefully everything will turn out good. And if we do get a recast i wish who ever it is the best of luck on and off set. Plus hope the fans will like who ever it is.

Actually, Scott Lang is the current Ant-Man in the comics. I have some issues that show it.

The Hollywood Reporter article states that Letitia Wright is set to have “a more prominent role.”

I am sure she will have bigger role. But for me personally I doubt they are going to write out/kill off t challa in the film. But I am sure we will know more in the coming months. As for the other bit if news of that narcos actor possibly being a villain in film. I could see them maybe going with Tarantula or black Tarantula characters maybe. If he is to play a Hispanic villain.

agreed with the article, there's only ONE Chadwick Boseman
no cgi effect like they did Paul Walker and Carrie Fisher

Again to me like I said yes Chad was a good actor and did wonderful things on and off the set. But to say one person could only do the role well is wrong in my book. Yes sucks when roles get recast. But I rather see the role recast and continue on. Vs either they killing off the character off screen or just say he is around but we don't see him. Is a total waste to the character itself. And come on look at the mcu as a whole we have recast multiple roles over the years. And look at how many actors has play important fictional characters like bond, superman, batman, etc......

Context is important. We’ve had no other recasts due to a real life death. Props to Marvel for doing the classy thing.

For me I still hope they don't off the character off screen. I rather like I said earlier hope they leave him alive. State in BP 2 he on some sort of secret mission. So then character is left alive. So then at a future point be it avengers 5, BP 3 which would be at least another 2 to 3 years post BP 2 2022 release.
That then maybe they will hire a new actor at that point. As it would a few years since Chad untimely death. So then the character is still usable for the future instead of taking the character out for good. Which is what I feel is the wrong way to take the character.

But you want them to get rid of a big black important character instead.
