We all know Dan Didio got canned at DC Comics, here's why... the 5G storyline he wanted to do. It may or may not happen. But the big news is that this may be it for DC Comics! AT & T may sell DC and Marvel might be them? OR the worst case is they just stop publishing altogether! No more DC Comics! The reason? Comics are dead? cosmicbook.news/marvel-taking-over-dc-comicsThoughts?

This has already been talked about in the main Comic BOok Talk thread and already been debunked. Can't really trust anything from Cosmic Book News anyway...

Combusto, Marvel is not buying out DC. It's a rumor that's already been declared fake. Nothing is happening to DC.

DC could always do another crisis reboot. Doomsday Clock's ending already mapped out the next several of them

Combusto, Marvel is not buying out DC. It's a rumor that's already been declared fake. Nothing is happening to DC. It's been disputed by fans who are as in the dark as everyone else and don't know s*it, that or they don't want to believe Ethan Van Sciver because he's affiliated with comicsgate, it's not been officially denied or debunked by anyone at AT&T, Warner Bros, or DC As for 'nothing is happening'... Sales are levelling off, people are being made redundant, the co-publisher got sacked, and their C2E2 panel was cancelled. Things are very much 'happening' at DC, and this rumour has been making the rounds for a good few weeks even before the usual clickbait sites got a hold of it. It's industry-wide talk.

Green really you didn't need to make a separate thread on this. As others said it talked about in official comic book discussion thread. Second it is not likely going to happen even if it was would probably be a few years away. But the source you posted is cosmic book news website that site is utter trash full of a lot of bias and negative posts and false news. If it was to be closed or sold off. You would see it reported on more trusted sites like cbr, newsarama, or any of the big entertainment sites like thr, deadline, variety.

To address some of the stuff that is out there, there's rumours.. speculation. I wouldn't put any credence into it. DC has been around for 85 years, and we'll be around for another 85 years. I hope to be doing this panel in 85 years. We're a huge important. We've been with Warner Bros. for decades. The actual strategy for DC is to put publishing at center of what we do. It's the engine of all the movies, tv, cartoons, we do. And so its my intent going forward as The Publisher, to lean into collective years of my team. It's hard to talk about things we haen't announced. Intention not to do a line-wide reboot. Is our focus in talking to editorial team, is to continue what we've done best: Character-driven stories, pairing right creators on right characters, and developing charaters that are inclusive and diverse When I started at CCO about 18 months ago, I was introduced to a big person who ran another WB division. I thought I had to mind what I say, and had all this pressure running around my head. This person basically looked at me and said 'Welcome to the team. We're going to have a lot fun.' That's the perfect thing to say to someone, and it really reminded me of our true mission. We're telling stories about characters who can fly, and go to cool dimensions. This should be fun. So I want to share that with all of you guys. If you are new to DC, I want to welcome you to the team and we're going to have a lot of fun The ol' footballers' vote of confidence.

There are two comic books I have subscriptions to at a comic book store I go. IDW Publishing's Ghostbusters & DC Comics' The Flash! So I know DC will never end! Don't always believe the rumors. Years ago, someone was posting things like "Samurai Sentai Shinkenger" was the LAST Super Sentai and that Sports was coming to an end! I'm not making this up!

Does it even matter at this point?! I mean, I still have my old physical copies of New 52 and DC Rebirth graphic novels. And, hopefully, we'll get more TV show and movie adaptations of old DC comic book storylines in the near-future. So, it's just the comic book department that's shutting down. Not the other stuffs.

It proves that DC isn't ending. I've even met two people who have worked with DC. Mark Waid & Neal Adams! The latter follows me on Instagram!

Again the publishing unit is not likely going to be going any where any time soon. Yes there could be slimming down editors and what not and slimming down amount of books coming out each month. All ways att could go to see if that will save money or make more money for them. Before closing publishing for good. Or it getting sold to another company (mind you I doubt would ever be disney). It would likely go to apple or Amazon or the like.
