^ Sorry if I was unclear, I meant that 3 of the actors were confirmed as rangers so it's likely that the other 2 are rangers as well. Then going by what ever footage is used swapping genders could make x footage not be usable or make what usable footage used look weird. Personally I rather not gender swap ranger. More so for example if actress body type wildy doesn't match sentai suit footage. The above quote is evidence that Always is biased against gender swaps. You also appear to have the same bias and denial based on your use of the words "ridiculous" and "unbelievable" respectively. Female rangers often end up being my favourite characters and I’d love to have more but gender swapping has always looked unbelievable and ridiculous on-screen. I used Trini as an example in my first post, Taylor and Katie are two other examples. The body types of the actresses don’t match the big, butch Japanese suit actors (who are often larger than the male rangers on the team). In the original/American footage the show used more female-looking suit actors that didn’t match the Japanese suit actors. I don’t understand how children believed those big butch suit actors were the same women they saw before they morphed and I highly doubt children would believe that in 2021. It looks ridiculous and unbelievable. I’m Gen-Z and watched the original Saban seasons as a child through reruns. Before I knew Power Rangers was adapted from Sentai I couldn’t understand why the yellow rangers suddenly looked like HUGE MEN after they morphed. The last time we had such a ridiculous discrepancy on screen was in Jungle Fury when Theo grew several inches when he morphed. It looked ridiculous and unbelievable. I understand why they did it in the 90s and I’m thankful we have Trini, Katie and Taylor (three of my favourite rangers ever) and all the other gender-swapped rangers! There are so many other ways to create female roles in the show as I’ve mentioned before; by having another main female villain or a female mentor, or better yet adapt a Sentai with two female Rangers rather than one instead. There’s even 2 (?) Sentai seasons with female green rangers why not go the easy route and adapt them?

[(I can't believe they made kids believe Trini was in that costume!) They also made kids believe Rita was speaking English all the time Half the show wasn’t stock footage from Japan (despite how different the film quality was) That they kept using the same footage for certain things over and over That Jason got a smaller build when he morphed That Tommy’s Green Ranger shield didn’t randomly change material ar times That the monsters from the first 13 episodes of season 2 were fighting the Thunder Megazords. Trini sometimes having a bulge was nothing especially when a good. chunk of their target audience doesn’t understand men and women have different parts. You would be wrong. No they’re not. Children become aware of the social and physical differences between males and females at a very early age. I’m not trying to call myself a child prodigy or anything like that for noticing that some of the yellow rangers clearly “became men” when they morphed, and now that you mention it I also thought it was odd that their suits sometimes looked “shiny” (as opposed to matte in the American footage) and that Rita’s mouth sometimes didn’t match her speech. The other things you mentioned I didn’t notice. Children these days can use smartphones, tablets, are used to all types of technology too. Discussions about diversity, differences in society and culture etc are part of their daily lives from an early age as well. So yes, I believe they are astute. You seem to be making the same assumption the writers and producers for the show make; that children are stupid.

Because they are stupid, I mean have you ever met a real life child outside of your wet dreams?

Most kids aren't going to know that one of the girls in Dino Fury was a guy in Japan because they will only know what Hasbro presents to them, and so whether or not a gender-swap will work is going to be entirely dependant on the way Dino Fury is written.

The “body type not matching” argument is hilariously flimsy to me. Even just two seasons ago we had Sarah and Hayley swapping heights each time they morphed.

Me?! I don't care who's playing which characters in the show. I just want the story to be amazing. Like seriously, whatever happened to the good old days when people cared for Power Rangers telling good stories as opposed to who's going to play which characters or what colored suit they are going to be wearing of what their ethnicity is going on be or whatever their sexual orientation is?! This is why I f@#$'n woke culture and political representation B.S. in movies and TV shows nowadays. I'm with you with this. Power Rangers has always about representation, but it didn't become "preachy" or "self-victimizing". You know when producers, writers, actors don't know $h!7 about what they're doing when they trying to sell a product using politics. "You have to watch this show, we have representation". Sure, pal. This became idiotic when they trying to promote Star Trek (Star Trek! One of the first series to have interracial kiss) as "we have diversity". I want this show to being good. It's baffling people talking about "you can't make the green Ranger female". Come on. It's Power Rangers.

Yeah, representation is fine...but for god's sake, don't push it ahead of the plot. If you're black, trans, or gay, big whoop, we're far past the point where you have to make that a crucial part of any show or movie, we're all equal. No side is superior to the other. Power Rangers is one of the few shows left that remembers this.

Hey guys I said it before I am not against green or black getting swap gender. I just don't see the need or point to gender swap today vs back in the 90s and all. Since we haven't has a swap in so long. When we can bring in more female roles as mentor/commander role, the mentor assistant role, to villain or and what have you.
Sure the whole different footage aspect is a bit weak to call on. But I said it before if they are using sentai footage that has more macho traits to it. And they make green or black female and she doesn't have those traits that just loosing x amount of footage they may have used. Though given any season there is variety of footage not used. Plus how much original footage they use.

^ It's hilariously flimsy cause it contradicts what we already know, that the Morphin' Grid doesn't give a damn about matching body types.
When I said you had the same bias and denial, you didn't even try to refute it. So far your entire argument is that there won't be a gender swap cause you don't like them and you claim to speak for the kids, which I think is a little pretentious, no offense. Do you actually have any evidence or criteria to contest the rumor?

There’s no point doing it because...it hasn’t been done in a while? “Hey wanna watch this movie?” “Sorry I can’t it’s been over ten years since I last saw it so now I can never watch it again.” Again......those are secondary characters. You’re once again saying women should just be happy being less important.

I am not not saying that. All I was trying to say is if they want or need more female roles in the show. There is plenty of ways to add more characters. Then doing a gender swap. Heck what if they made an all new ranger or what not.

If that pic is going to be representative of her look on the show, I don't like it because it makes her look too 'adult' to be believable as a teenager.
