Tyler smirked, "Alright! Yo, Derek! Time to go Chroma on this tissue-looking motherfucker!" he spoke up.
"I hear you. Let's put this Mummies Alive rip off in the dirt! Chroma Strike time!" The Red Ranger was locked in and ready to put the finishing touches on this beast.

The five Rangers turned their steering wheels and the Megazord readied his sword as it started to glow in iridescent light, circling it clockwise. "CHROMA STRIKE!" they all called out and the Megazord slashed its sword across the Sominus diagonally, destroying the crystal on its chest once again. Making one more pose, the monster fell forward and exploded in a huge blast, ending his reign of nightmares once and for all.
"YES! ANOTHER VICTORY!" Tyler cried out.

Jax sighed softly, slumping down in his chair and nodding. "Good riddance," he said softly.
Amara looked over at her brother. "Jax?" she asked.
"I....I'm not ok, Mar. I don't....I don't know that I'll ever be ok after this..."

"YEAH!" The Red Ranger jumped out of his chair, pumping his fist in pure joy.

The Red Ranger's excitement was brought down a peg or two upon seeing Jax not feeling as joyous. Derek became quiet, knowing that there was nothing he could say that could remove the pain Jax was feeling from those horrendous nightmares.

"Sominus' power must have affected you a lot, Jax. Maybe...we should cut the celebration short," Mackenzie spoke softly.

Jax looked over, pulling his helmet off. "I was trapped in endless loops of alarms, flight, screaming and burning planes. Every single name on my skin, I saw again and again. Thousands of times. Each time getting worse and worse until it all happened at once," he said softly. "I...I started wishing for death. To finally have the peace I craved for so long. Just to make the screaming stop."

"Jax," Jetfire spoke.
"We should take him back to Command Center. Hopefully, Jax will try to keep himself calm," Dozer spoke to the Rangers and Tyler nodded.
"Good idea. What do you guys think?" The Yellow Ranger asked.

"That's not a bad idea but why not let him go home or somewhere else where he can relax properly?" Derek posed an alternative solution. "If it were me and I just went through something horrible, I'd want to go somewhere I can be comfortable."

"Dozer, that's rude," Amara said. "Need to teach you some manners." "I'm calm, Dozer. I'm just...I'm exhausted. Flashbacks and triggers aren't fun, and being trapped in a nightmare full of them has me off my game," Jax said. "Derek, it's alright, I'm good to go back and see Dee. I owe her an explaination about all of this since I said I'd talk."

Jax nodded, knowing the Red Ranger understood. "Honestly, I think that....right now, being around friends is the best thing for me. At home, I'd be lost in the dark again."

"Come on, guys. Let's get back to Divatox," Mackenzie said and the five Rangers and their Machinezords returned to the Command Center where Divatox approached them and she saw Jax, not in his best state.
"Jax, my god. Are you alright?" she asked in a worried tone.

"I can honestly say, Divatox, I have been better," Jax said. "PTSD flashbacks, nightmares meant to kill me, and...reliving my brothers and sisters deaths over and over...I don't think I'll ever be truly "alright" again."

"Although you are free from Sominus' spell, it left an after-effect on you. I... I didn't realize that you had gone through so much," Divatox spoke, her voice sounding crestfallen. "Please, excuse me for not knowing this sooner."

"I don't really go around advertising I'm a combat vet with severe PTSD and night terrors, Dee. YOu couldn't have known cause I don't talk about it," Jax said. He sighed, biting his lip as he looking down. "I want to show you all something." He pulled his shirt off, left in a muscle shirt. He took his phone and shined the flashlight on his arms, the names of his fallen pilots etched permanently into his skin.
"Y'all have seen some of these before. Only where I could push sleeves up. They go up my arms, down my back. I led five squadrons, six pilots a peice including myself. Four of those missions, I was the only one that came back. I tattooed the names on so I remember the lives I lost trying to keep this country safe. Each one meant something to me, and hearing their screams over the radios as I watched their planes burst into fireballs, ejected pilots get cut down by gunfire, or parachutes get torn up....it changes you. I don't like the person I became after each of my friends died." He looked at his sister who was silently crying, tears falling down her cheeks slowly before he glanced at Tyler, Derek, and Mackenzie. "It's why I do my damndest to keep the four of you safe. So I don't have more names put on my skin."
Amara reached out, taking her brother's hand and tracing her fingers over a couple of names. "How come you never told us?" she asked. "Me and Mom?"
"Mom...likes to ignore that I was ever in the service, Amara. She was there in the airport when I came home, but other then that she ignores it happened. And you...you're always so busy with the medivac and then hiding in your room when you get home after stressful days, I just shouldered the responsibility myself," the Blue Ranger said.
Amara nodded softly, seeing another name on Jax's shoulder. "Jax. What's this one?" she asked, putting her hand on the tattoo.
"Dad."
