Amara scoffed, rolling her eyes. "And yet you're still making excuses! Jesus, you're so damn passive to the fact that because you didn't let us know what was going on with our PARTNERS, we could have been killed! Christ, you're horrible, Divatox," she said, her hands clenching. "Knew we shouldn't trust a goddamn pirate. I'm going home. Good fucking luck getting your head out of your ass." She walked off, storming out of hte command center.
"Amara!" Jax yelled, sighing and shaking his head. "GOddamn it, Divatox."
"Diva, you should've told us about our partners being upgraded. And yet you kept us in the dark! How can you even do something like that!? I didn't sign up to become a Ranger to be shut out like that!" Now it was Tyler's turn to go off. "We were nearly killed out there and those people were about to become the Wizards mindless zombies! Do you have any idea how hard it was for us to take them on!?"
Divatox cursed, "I know it was wrong for me to do that!" she shouted out. "Gregory's forces are getting stronger than ever and I had to upgrade the Machinezords or else you wouldn't stand a chance against them!" She ran her fingers through her head and sighed. "Rangers, you are the only people I can count on to take on Gregory and his forces and I can't afford having you being replaced. But it was indeed wrong for me to leave you out without knowing and I do take responsibility for what I have done. I'm really sorry, Rangers."
"Divatox, are you really going to take responsibility for your mistakes?" Mackenzie asked the space pirate.
"Yes, I am. I put you guys at risk because for my incompetence and I can take any anger from you. Hell, if Amara wants to punch me in the face, she can," Divatox openly admitted.

"We certainly don't want that." Derek said, seemingly picking out the bit about her ex before shifting to the more serious problem at hand. "I get it. Her execution...wasn't the best. Maybe it didn't sink in as quickly as I hoped it would but I do believe it will...eventually."
Derek slowly approached Amara, placing his hands on both of her shoulders. "As long as we continue to hold her accountable, I believe she'll get there. But I need you to help us make sure that happens." He reached in, gently using one of his fingers to wipe a tear that had fallen to Amara's cheek. "In the meantime, I'm a man of my word. I believe I owe you a meal." He smiled, trying to spin this into something more positive.Amara sniffled softly and nodded. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around Derek, closing her eyes softly. "I'm sorry I'm a pain," she said softly. "Too damn emotional for my own good...one of these days it's gonna get me killed..."

"You're lucky she walked out," Jax said. "She told us if she didn't like your answer or thought your apology was bullshit and full of hot air, she'd be flinging that morpher into your face and hoping you'd walk away with a broken jaw. Amara is the most sensitive of all of us, and what happened today really set her off. Next time she's here, you better hope she doesn't decide to go cray on you, Dee."

Derek in turn, wrapped his arms around Amara with one hand being used to rub her back. "You could never be a pain." Derek smiled. "You're emotion is what makes you you and that's what we love about you. I hope you never change."

Divatox sighed, "You're right. I have a lot of fixing to do," she said to Jax as she thought about Amara and her temper.
"Yeah, a lot of fixing to do. Do we hate you for it? No. But you do need to think about what you had done," Tyler said as he folded his arms.

"I'm glad you didn't." Derek said, putting his hands in his pockets. "I'm not sure Twista would been a fan of your morpher flying in the air like your zords." He said with a light chuckle.

"Amara definitely has a temper," Dozer said with a smile.
"Don't think you're off the hook either, Dozer. You or even Big Red should've contacted us if Diva didn't respond!" Tyler said in a scold through his morpher.

"YOu aren't free from blame on this either, lady!" Amara said, looking down at her morpher. "You should have let us know when I tried calling you, you jerk. You ain't entirely blameless here. None of you are. When she was working on you, you should have said something." She looked at Derek and shrugged. "Come on. Let's get out of here. I want to be as far away from this as possible tonight."

"That goes for you too, Jetfire. You should have said something. ANy one of you should have let us know when we tried calling you out," Jax said.
"You're right. I'm sorry, Brother. Next time we'll let someone know somehow."

"Okay..." Big Red sounded dejected like a kid who knew that he was about to be scolded.

"That goes for you too, Supra. You're not going to be left out from this either," Mackenzie spoke to Supra, who gulped loudly. " Y-yes, Mackenzie," the green Machinezord said, not ready for a scolding either. As the Rangers teleported out of the Command Center, Divatox lets out a sigh as she leaned against the control panels. She knew that they were right for not responding to them when they were fighting the Wizard and they had the right to be angry, especially Amara. Divatox knew that she had a lot of fixing to do and it starts with being more present for the Rangers. ___________________________ Nightmare Too Real (Jax's focus) With Jax's time in the military haunting him, Gregory's forces trap the Blue Ranger in a nightmare that forces him to relieve the hell he saw in every combat mission. As he falls deeper into the nightmare, he's not sure if he'll come back from this mission. ((OOC: Alright, you guys can do whatever you want for now)) Days had passed since the drama with their Machinezords and Tyler was seen at the Youth Center playing Galaga, working on the controls as he shot his rounds at the insectoid aliens that fired back. His eyebrows furrowed while letting a growl as he can remember what Divatox had done and it was frustrating him. It wasn't that she didn't do it on purpose, he understand her side of her mishap, but she should've at least told him and the others about the upgrade and or at least Dozer should've told him earlier when the Wizard grew large thanks to Narda. He cursed loudly when he got killed by the one of the enemies and he only had one life left. He groaned and walked away from the arcade console and walked up to the counter, where Aisha was seen approaching him and she began to have a concerned look on her face. "Hey, Tyler. Are you alright?" she asked him. "Just having a little bad day. It's nothing personal," Tyler spoke to the former Yellow Ranger. "Seems like it's kinda personal. But I won't ask. Would you like something to get that mood of yours back into normal?" Aisha offered. Tyler wanted to say no, but he knew he couldn't turn down anything good from the Juice Bar. "Yeah, a nice tropical smoothie would be nice. Hopefully it would calm down my nerves," he said and Aisha smiled. "Hey, Hiro! One tropical smoothie, on the double!" Tyler's ears picked up when Aisha called out Hiro's name and he looked up to see Hiro working at the counter. "Hiro?" he exclaimed and the Japanese man turned his gaze. "Oh hey, Tyler!" he said with a smile. "What are you doing here at the Juice Bar? Where's Jason?" Tyler questioned. "Jason had to take care of some things, so I'm here to take over for him since Tsunami Sushi is closed for the day," Hiro grinned. "Anyways, your smoothie will be done within a jiffy!" "R-Right," Tyler said leaned onto the table as he tried to keep himself calm, after what had happened.

Amara, who had managed to get two days in a row off, sighed to herself, tossing her towel on the pile of laundry growing on her floor. She quickly dressed, shaking her head as she gathered the laundry. "Stupid goddamn..." she muttered, walking down into the basement. Starting the clothes, she sat with her back to the machine, her hands shaking as she thought about what Divatox had done. It was still bothering her, and she knew it shouldn't, but she couldn't get the anger out of her soul. She knew she should talk to Divatox, but Amara knew it'd devolve into a yelling match.
"Goddamn it," she sighed, banging her head on the washer before she forced herself up and headed back upstairs. ____________________
Jax, having been working at the center today, shook his head softly as he looked at himself in the bathroom mirror. He felt haunted, having been unable to sleep thanks to memories of his fallen brothers and sisters in combat, seeing all of them as he got some rest. Walking out of the bathroom, he headed out to the main room, seeing some of the veterans filling in.
"Good afternoon, everyone," the Blue Ranger said with a small smile.
"Jackson, my boy, are you alright?" one of the older men asked, walking forward and putting his hand on Jax's shoulder. "You look out of sorts today."
"I'm alright, Sargent Billings. Just...some small flashbacks. Old friends haunting my dreams," Jax said with a smile. "I'll be fine."
"When was the last time you sat on this side of the podium?"
"My discharge," Jax said.

With the days that have passed since the battle against the Wizard, Derek did allow his mind to wander back to Divatox's handling of the zord situation and Amara's feelings on the matter which were a far more passionate version of his own times 1000. Thankfully for him, he didn't have too much time to dwell on it as he was extremely busy with Dream Chasers reopening for business after the attack by Ares and Crow.
Currently, Derek was downstairs making the rounds. His legs eventually carried him to the first floor where he ran across the front desk security guy.
"Hey DC! Got a sec?" The guard shouted, prompting Derek to walk over to the desk, giving the guy a fist pound in greeting.
"What's up? If it's to apologize for the 1,000th time, I told you that wasn't necessary. We were literally attacked by aliens. Everyone is safe and there were no serious injuries, so I'm good." Derek smiled, patting the guard on the back.
The guard held his head somewhat sheepishly as it was still on his mind but thankfully, it wasn't the prime reason for calling Derek over. "I'm glad for that.. really. I did want to ask you about your stream last night. How in the hell did you pull off that counter against Detlaff in Witcher 3? I've been stuck fighting that damn thing forever!"
Derek laughed at his buddy's plight with the difficult boss battle. "It's more than just the counter. You have to have your Quen ready to go and use it often. Plus you..."
"Derek!" Derek's assistant, affectionately named Boss called out to the Dream Chasers CEO with tablet in hand. She rushed over to him, pulling out her phone. "I've been trying to reach you! You're gonna be late for a meeting with CD Projekt!" She started to not so gently nudge him towards the elevator.
"They're already here?!"
"Yes, now let's go!" She continued to nudge him towards the elevator.
"Okay okay! I guess duty calls. See ya buddy!" Derek was able to just his fist out for another pound before walking towards the elevator with a little more pep in his step.

Mackenzie was busy working at the office trying to get the work done she was given for the day. Since her Zord situation with Divatox and Amara's almost blowup towards her, she had kept herself occupied with her daily work. She gave Supra a very good scolding and her partner had been silent all day. She lets out a sigh as rested her fingers after typing onto the computer. She really needed a break for she had been sitting for at least two hours and she went out of her office to get herself some coffee.
"Ugh, what a week," she spoke to herself as she walked to the coffee stand to get herself a nice cup of coffee.
"I really hope Divatox learned after what had happened." Mackenzie looked at her morpher and sighed. She really embraces her role as a Power Ranger with a burning passion, she just hoped that the space pirate doesn't pull the same stunt again.

Jax left the veterans center, making his way down the street on foot. He'd driven in that morning, but he wanted to walk, clear his head. Between Ares' attack on Dream Chasers, the tension between the Rangers and Divatox, and Amara's own still seething anger, the Blue Ranger didn't know where he stood in the grand scheme of things. Taking his phone out of his pocket, he sent a message to the others.
<"Anyone up for a meetup? Got out of my meeting and could use a friendly face or three."> He watched as his sister's dots popped up on the screen, waiting for her message. "Come on, Mar..."
<"Sorry, big brother. I'm neck deep in laundry and working my way through Master Chief collection. See you at home later.">
"Shit," Jax said, shrugging softly. "Derek, Mackenzie, Tyler, please don't say no. Could really use a friend today..." He sat down on a bench, seeing a voicemail. Listening to the message, he chuckled. "Good. Insurance finally came through. Get that check next week and go get a new truck. Least there's one good thing today."

In his office, Derek was in a conference call with CD Projekt, a game developer who was currently in the early stages of their new project and wanted to gain insight on the direction they could possibly go in.
"So, with the new game, with how society is, we think that it would stand out to use Ciri as the female lead as Geralt's story is pretty much done."
"That wouldn't work for a lot of people." Derek said, shooting down the idea.
"What do you mean!? This is a fine time to implement a female lead into the Witcher franchise."
"That part would work but Ciri isn't the best idea because if you're in the same universe and not rebooting anything, some folks finished their Witcher 3 playthrough with either Ciri dead or as an empress. Both options would mess up a new game. Now if you wanted to use a new female Witcher perhaps from one of the other schools, then that would work."
"You know Derek, for a multimillionaire CEO, you sound an awful lot like a fan right now." One of the executive said over zoom call.
"Me being a fan is a big reason why I am a multimillionaire CEO... which sounds weird every time I say it." Derek laughed. "But yeah, a female lead works. Just make sure that you're writing her correctly otherwise the backlash is going to be massive."
About twenty minutes later, the meeting concluded with Derek ending the Zoom call. "Maybe I can sneak some Tomb Raider in.."
-BZZT-
"Or not.." Derek read the incoming text message which happened to be from Jax.
<"Anyone up for a meetup? Got out of my meeting and could use a friendly face or three.">
<"I'm down. I just finished a meeting myself, so you have good timing. What did you have in mind, bro?>">
Derek sent the text, awaiting a response.
