Personally I don't think we need to gender change any of the characters. More so if it's mm characters again. There is no reason we need to do. Maybe sure race change some like 2017 film did. But power Rangers has always been a diverse type show. And I don't see the point of gender changing characters for no real reason.

“A connected film and TV universe that’s never been done in the franchise before!” The Turbo film says hi.
“With over 900 episodes available on Netflix…” lol not anymore

According to TokuChris over on Twitch, the movie's reported previously reported premise involving time travel to the 90s was just a pitch and nothing concrete came of it, the movie has now 'morphed' into a different sort of thing, and much of what was developed for it will now branch out into a streaming show to be shown in 2023, that's said to potentially divide fans 50/50.

hmm well that sucks if true. I kinda would have liked to seen a time travel story and ties to mm era/zordon/zedd and all that. Well what ever the film turns into i am curious to see what the plot/theme be. What the zords/powers look like and what they do with bad guys. Then of course what is going on tv side of things. Will it be same old same old and we just have show continue as is. And this film just be one of many alternate universe rangers teams out there. Or if they are creating a new power rangers universe where mm-present is still there and can be brought in any time they want with future crossovers. And this new universe starts fresh with new teams and the film/tv plans they are working on.

What is the thing with writers/producers/directors and works that "gonna divide fans", like The Last Jedi? I dunno that mentality, almost bankrupt of creativity, to create something that potentially could make people angry on purpose. It's bafflingly stupid. Because The Last Jedi helped a lot to Star Wars...................

wait does that mean they’re not even making a film it’s been repurposed into a streaming show?
edit: nvm, just read the other thread.
