I think it could be done well, look at how the Star Trek reboot movie went. It relaunched the movies in a fresh way that felt more like a Star Wars movie than Star Trek. The time travel thing? If done right could be excellent. Time will tell.

well paramount does seem more focus back on tv right now with discovery, the new picard series, and the upcoming animated shows. But i am curious to see what ever is the next trek movie. Be it in the kevlin timeline or in the prime timeline. As for power rangers again a time travel story isnt that bad as long as they have a good story, good time travel reasons and effects if you change things. Like will it be bttf style, or more like mcu did with endgame in that if you change one thing alternate timelines will spin out of that and so forth. I am betting probably be more bttf style. And the rangers probably go back in time to prevent mass destruction ala terminator style approach.

I wouldn't mind a big-screen take on Master Vile turning the world back.

You guys do know there is a 4th Kelvin Trek movie coming out right? All the cast are signed on (except for Anton Yelchin, rest in peace). Plot is still to be determined, but it is happening.

Ya green 4th Kevlin trek film been on development hell since beyond came out. First there was rumors it was going to be a time travel film with kirk meeting his dad with Hemsworth back. Then traveling didn't pan out. Then there was rumors of something ekse. Reports then of a female director who then left. Then there was the tarinto ru or of a film he wanted to do. But that likely not happening. And we are back to square one with that. So who knows what will become of next trek film.

Whatever happens with this movie, the one thing I want more than anything is for the final battle to be a ground fight. Each of the previous theatrical films ended with a zord battle, with only the ‘95 film actually doing it well, imo.
The heroes winning by using their own powers and skills? Awesome. The heroes winning by pressing the correct sequence of buttons inside of their giant clunky robot? Lame.

I agree 100%.
I know people like giant robots, but out of three Power Rangers movies, none of them have very much of the rangers themselves actually fighting the bad guys. That's something this movie needs. There's room for both zords and ground fights.

Some news from Giant Freaking robot about plans to gender swap and more for the reboot... "They’re going for name recognition but also apparently jumping on the modern trend of gender-swapping characters. Word is they’re turning the Red Power Ranger into a woman, which means the Power Rangers team will now be female-dominated. The Blue Ranger is also expected to be gay now, as a way to embrace diversity." www.giantfreakinrobot.com/ent/biggest-sci-fi-movies-coming.htmlThoughts? Personally - I hate the whole "let's gender swap this character" trend. What if Wonder Woman were suddenly Wonder Man? Or Storm cast as a man? Or Black Widow cast as a man? Or they now recast Captain Marvel as the original male Mar-Vell? The the whole openly gay Blue Ranger? They tried this with the Yellow Ranger in the last reboot and wasn't received well a I recall. Why do that again? I'm not a homophobe just so you know, I just don't think it works for Power Rangers? Thoughts?

They never confirmed one hundred percent wheather Trini was gay in the 2017 reboot. They were more willing to let fans interpret it their own way rather then say "This is what we intended, yeah." I wouldn't mind a gay Ranger, as long as it's not the entire aspect of the character like a lot of LGBT characters get written as.
Also, reading the Giant Freakin Robot post, it's also linked to a We Got This Covered article, but they really aren't the most reliable source of information, even if it is just rumor or speculation. Personally, I wouldn't put much stock into WGTC as a "source".
Personally, I wouldn't mind a female Red Ranger, even in the show, but that depends on Sentai and since the entire aim To Sell Toys, I doubt it'll happen. It's been three years since the last reboot and my Walmart still has Yellow and Pink Ranger figures, and none of the Beast Morphers Yellow Ranger figures are selling that fast. If tehy want to continue the "We make product to sell toys to boys" thing, they won't switch it up. They'll stick to what they know and that's selling figures that boys, their primary target demographic, want to buy.

Their source is WeGotThisCovered. So it's most likely just a load of BS.

Well, this video showed up on my notifications section on YouTube.
I don't know if this is same BS sources, but, I think whoever wrote this article obviously didn't watch Samurai Sentai Shinkenger or read the Boom! Studios comic books.

What if Wonder Woman were suddenly Wonder Man? Then Marvel would sue cause they already have Wonder Man who played a very important role in Vision's redemption arc which was completely ignored in the Age of Ultron live action movie!
