Episode 12:
This one was a little better. Thus far the team really hasn’t felt like a family so it’s been hard for me to root for them, but seems they’re starting to get there.
I’m always disappointed when it’s Blaze and not Roxy who reps the bad guys.
Nate was TOO much of an asshole in this one. I get disagreements will and should happen but he was just disproportionately nasty. And I do ‘t like that they had Steel apologize to him, when it was Nate’s fault entirely. Him also apologizing much later was good, but still didn’t feel right after all that.
I loved Steel’s “special move” at the end tho. 😂

april as we all know for years the international markets always blast through the whole season usually in a month or 2 months max. While we are on the mid break so episodes 9/10-20 are usually all aired elsewhere prior to us return from back which is usually end of aug/early sept and us fans then can see episodes 9/10-20. Usually is a flip on does a international market air the holiday episodes before or after us airing them.

I'm trying to avoid this actually so I hang back a year to see all 20.
Finished up Super Ninja Steel recently.
It's cool being able to watch all 40 after year 2 together without a hiatus getting in the way.

Just saw Seeing Red and have mixed feelings. You know how Smallville had those episodes where Clark would get Red Kryptonite and his personality would change? Yeah this was like that. On one hand I do like how the crystals have a drawback, but on the other hand something about the ADR for Robbie felt off and Jazz's performance felt a little stiff. Also just hit me how weird it is the rangers are suppose to keep their identities' secret yet have no problem hanging out with Steel at the Riptide. Unless this is continuing Ninja Steel's continuity where robots are just now accepted in public.

Unless this is continuing Ninja Steel's continuity where robots are just now accepted in public. This season takes place in a society where futuristic technology is commonplace and scientists are tapping into the Morphin Grid to advance it further. I see no reason why a robot would seem out of place in such a setting. Its not like Steel is Morphing in front of civilians.

I mean, people still react with shock whena Robotron appears. Heck, in episode 9 one dude even asked Nate if Steel was a real robot. lol

Nice to see Go Busters not get skipped this year. I like what Hasbro is doing so far for Beast Morphers.
This one is making me think of RPM and Venjex.
Anybody feel like Evox could be Venjex 2.0?
RPM also had Gold and Silver Rangers.

So typically, I like Beast Morphers action scenes, the monsters, the zord battles, the villains except Blaze, etc. while I normally find the civilian plots boring/trite/useless.
In episode 14 however, it was the reverse. Reusing last weeks monster was lame, Blaze is lame, I hate that the Red power-up wasn’t revealed during a Devon focus episode, and I don’t really care for the design of it either. And I feel Cruise/the red zord is WAY overused. I genuinely forgot Nate and Steel even HAVE zords.
On the flipside, the civilian plots were actually kinda juicy for once. They had a straight up antagonistic human who wasn’t brainwashed, wasn’t revealed to be some sympathetic woobie and didn’t apologize or make up with the rangers at the end. For the first time in a long time I feel they’ve broken new ground.
And I was also impressed with the Zoey/Nate plot. They revealed (quite early in the season, may I add) their feelings and there was this brief moment of elation between the two of them, before it hit them it was against policy and they couldn’t date, and you could just feel the mood deflate. I’m actually going to start tuning in excited for shipping moments for once lol
