The new X-Men line up are Cannonball, Talen, Frenzy, Synch, Dazzelr, and Juggernaught....but then Nimrod swoops in and kills most of them. Orchis seize control of the Krakoan gates, Moira McTaggart kills Jean using blades laced with elseworld poisons. Stasis revaled they tampered with the Krakoan drugs over a year ago so that all carry with them a kill switch. If all mutants don't leave Earth through the gates, the humans who receive them will be killed. Xavier has no choice and mentally instructs the population to evacuate through the gates. Mstique resists and she dies.



Jean reaches out from beyond death to telepathically convince Stasis that Firestar is a double agent, Wilson Fisk helps also with the evacuations. Xavier then discovers that the gates have seemingly wiped out all the mutants that walked through them. The Atlantic island is then taken over by Mother Righteous

Paul and MJ are still together, they throw a party for Aunt Anna. Paul and MJ are living with Anna now. As demonstrated in the preview, Anna is affected by the Krakoa drugs and attacks MJ, MJ fends her off with the aid of sleeping pills, Peter comes back in time and helps, so does Paul. Anna is sent to Ravencroft. There is a tease that Paul is against mutants as he blames them for Anna's condition.
